We’ve been playing this for years and love it. We just bought our third 1000 game expansion pack. Theres a known bug when you buy that is cured by deleting and reinstalling the game and then recovering your purchases. Seems like, if they know about it, why not fix it. We play only 9×9 expert games. Having devised several numeric relationships rules, the others are too easy. Still, after all these years and games, the game still has some new twist every few plays. Star rating is greyed out. Would be a five star.
And we paid for the subscription bc we love this game but now Im at the 8×8 and its not really unlimited it doesnt have a lot. We dont know if it will unlock more as it goes but we want real unlimited.
Love the game but its time to update the graphics to modern iPhones.
If we could, we’ve give it a zero stars rating. We paid first the $7.99 for no ads and more puzzles and still there were junky ads. Then we paid for the 1 year subscriptions to get rid of the ads and still its spitting junk ads on there when our son is trying to use it. Total scam that it charges us over $24 and yet we still am bombarded with junky ads. 8 we finally undid the subscription and erased it. Worthless application.

To understand or perceive (an idea or situation). From large and lengthy 9×9 to quick 5×5 games its a great brain duster. KenKen service is #1.
Great game. We really enjoy puzzles that require math and logic. Kakuro was a favorite for years, but KENKEN may be the new winner.
Switching between locking a number in a box and adding or removing a possible number is confusing. Plus the active box changes in non-useful way when switching between entry modes. We find the puzzles them selves, very challenging.
The game itself is pretty fun but the UI is just terrible. This is obviously an instance where the engineer decided to design the interface themselves and, sadly, it was a major failure. We played about a dozen boards but got too annoyed with the interface to continue playing. Usually we would mention the issues in detail but the list is so long that its not worth it for us to spend the time listing it all out.
Enjoyable game to play. Sum of us find it difficult.

We love killing time on a plane or bus or anywhere with a few games in this app. Its smooth and reliable.
Love math. With the pandemic eliminating so many activities, this app is a life preserver. Medium and Hard 9x9s. Very challenging and when you have an epiphany in regard to deducing you get a very satisfying feeling!
Love the ability to play different levels. No intrusive ads and everything works.
Other apps and games come and go. But we’ve had this app longer than any other. The user interface is simple, intuitive, and works well. The upgrades are reasonably priced for the experience. We consider it a steal because the days of buying a dell puzzle book for a few KENKEN puzzles amongst the dozen other kinds are long gone. Theyre years and years and years ago. We love this app.
We love this game and that we can make it ad free with a puzzle purchase. The only thing we would change It wont let you click on a square and then select how you will enter the number. Rather you have to select how to enter and then click on the square.

Keeps your brain young while playing away!
We fell in love with this game years ago online but our laptop couldnt upgrade enough to continue playing. We were so happy to find it in the App Store. Now we just have to get used to the minute differences in playing.
This app is way better than the others because it allows us to pick puzzles not just by number of squares and operations but also different difficulty levels for each combination of the two. Very much dislike how the cursor jumps around between boxes when toggling between notes and entering in numbers which leads to lots of errors, many of which we dont notice. If we didnt like how it handles choosing difficulty levels so well, Id never use this app again. We tried looking at others. They all have better UIs, but no where near as awesome difficulty settings. We really wish youd add a setting that let us keep the cursor in the same place.
Please please get a night mode.
Game is great, controls are horrendous. Click once and it does nothing, click twice and it puts in a menu and wont let you out. ADD a back out or undo button so you can get back to the game.
KenKen is our favorite number puzzle (way better than Sudoku), and this app is our favorite way to solve them. However, we have some suggestions that would earn the app a fifth star from us. 1. Fix the undo button – sometimes it will only go back a few moves and become unresponsive, or wont undo any moves at all. 2. Add a save and revert function – if we get stuck on a puzzle and want to try what-if logic, we could save the puzzle in its current state and try something, then revert back to where we saved it as needed. Im currently stuck on a very hard 9×9 expert puzzle and am at our wits end. 3. Add no-op puzzles to the app for paying users; we’ve always wanted to try them! 4. Add a dark mode for play at night and/or to save battery.
Love the game. There are a few glitches to the game that are difficult to work with but overall fun. We bought the full year subscription which is supposed to be ad free but there are still ads which is VERY annoying considering ad free for the year was $20.
The app has a questionable user interface and often needs to be deleted and reloaded to keep getting new puzzles. The puzzles themselves are great.
Its a great game, but once you finish the 50 free games, the pricing is completely out of line with what other similar games cost.
There hasnt been an update for some time. Maybe someone could address some minor maintenance so we can keep enjoying the app? So we can continue to provide better ratings for the app we can actually play instead of use as a digital paperweight on our home screen. Please, Dev.
We bought a years unlimited subscription but it says we are out of games. Cant buy more because we have a years subscription it keeps saying and we cant renew our subscription because it isnt up. So we cant play at all! This is a serious flaw fr us. Might be ok otherwise.
Give more than 50 free puzzles.
We downloaded this app a year ago, and paid for 1000 puzzles. After upgrading to a new iPad, we re-downloaded the app and tried to restore our purchases so we could continue playing the puzzles we paid for, but it says that we have no purchase history. And the new ads are really annoying (which we didnt have previously).
Great app. A nice enhancement would be to provide hints when youre stuck! Like some Sudoku apps do.
Do a bit of math to keep skills sharp. We use iPad, no calculator, 9x medium, fast fun. The app works well. Straightforward, no glitches, solve the puzzle. Good friend at the airport, keeps us occupied.
Its a good app and a great puzzle game. There are a couple small clunky things about the app like leaving it to take a phone call lets the timer keep running. No biggie but seems like a simple fix. We will see how it goes with time. We think the prices for additional puzzles are about where the tipping point is. The ads were beyond annoying so we were happy to have an out. Recommended!

We’ve played several versions of this addictive game, some under different names. This one works best – no crashes nor quirky graphics – just the fun of playing. When you know you will enjoy it, spend a few bucks for a big bunch of ad-free games.
This is one of our favorite math puzzles we’ve tried in the past year. Its a fun twist on sudoku like puzzles. Especially if youre sudokud out. As you progress you learn tricks that make the puzzles more doable and yet challenging at the same time. Im a paid user and absolutely suggest everyone else try to 50 free then make youre decision.

Tedious to tap each square rather than swipe across squares to highlight (eg to erase multiple squares).
Just started Kenken and am enjoying it immensely. Maybe its just us, but we wish the same square would stay highlighted when switching from regular mode to notes mode. It causes lots of errors and typos, which is frustrating. Is there a setting somewhere that would allow this? Thanks!
Fun and exciting game which is nicely made.
We have no idea if this app is enjoyable because it crashes every time we open it. We see the opening page for 2 seconds and then it crashes.
This apps developers clearly dont care about updating their app to support modern devices. On newer devices black bars appear on the top and bottom of the device while using the app. Additionally simple features like Dark Mode arent supported at all. Finally, this app crashes after basic tasks (modifying settings).
Many different sizes, many different levels. Easy to use. We enjoy this app.
