We were getting bored with regular sudoku and this makes you think in so many directions.
Playing the Auutumn challenge, had completed phases 1 & 2, and had 12 puzzles left to play on phase 3. While playing game 52/64 the screen froze on a Free Cell Solitaire ad. It wouldnt move. Clock wouldn't wind down. It just sat there! So we exited, turned off our iPad and rebooted it. When we got back into Killer Sudoku it had wiped out the 52 completed games and set us up to play game 1/64. With only 1 day and 4 hours left in the challenge there is no way we will complete the level, thus ruining our completion score. We are very disappointed in the game. We had just downloaded the newest version of the game yesterday. So, we are not a happy player right now. F. Harless.
We had originally played the Killer Sudoko app by Sudoko.com / Easybrain for years and after taking a long break from the game we decided to pick it back up again. Im not sure what happened but for some reason the app seemed to be running crazy slow now were it felt like it was taking us 10-20 extra minutes to fill out any puzzles due to lag. We tried seeing if it needed to be updated or if we just needed to delete the app entirely and redownload it but neither helped. This led us to ultimately try out other Killer Sudoku apps were we found this one which has proven so far to be leaps and bounds better than the one previously mentioned. The app ran very smooth and in addition, we were able to see the board much easier. The other various settings / gameplay function also helped make the game very enjoyable for ourselves . Another thing to note is that the Killer puzzles in this game give you much more of a challenge compared to the Expert ones from the Sudoko.com / Easybrain app. Its easy to default into thinking the more downloaded app is the better one but this is not case for this Killer Sudoko game.
If are stumped in killer sudoku, you can always do regular sudoku to get it! Hard but doable.
Please stop with the gross toenail ads. We use both hands to cover up those horrible pictures. We dont know or care what the product is. We do not know or care what company is doing this. Just stop.
We work on doing math in our mind while becoming more logical.
We love this game but the gross toenail fungus ads need to stop! We cant unsee that.
Love it all. Would be a good addition in Battles mode if they add a flash when you complete a number! Would be an aid to the player and a cool visual to confirm there are no more of that number remaining. Currently the player must look down to confirm the number has disappeared. Maybe even a slight phone shake.
The game play isnt half bad. We like that it wont allow you to make an errant note. However, we do miss the Fast Pencil feature that their regular sudoku game features. We also find that it lacks compared to Easybrains version, as they will color the board by sum, which is very helpful. But our biggest complaint is that recently, out of nowhere, Im getting Candy Crush ads in the middle of a game that cause the app to crash. And the killer sudoku doesnt present enough features to pay for, as opposed to the regular sudoku subscription.
This app has sold its soul for ads. We can accept some ads but this app will hit you with multiple 30 and 60 second ads to play one game. We are switching to a different app.
We have played this game for years on our phone – started playing on our iPad recently and have had issues with the game freezing. Looking for a different version to play on the iPad. Love the concept of sudoku with extra math problems – but not when it freezes and becomes unplayable.
We have had this app for years and havent stopped using regularly. Unfortunately after the latest update it crashes on our iOS 15.CCK and never starts.
We have loved playing this game, however the ads have become overwhelming. They are now before and after each puzzle. Many take 4 or 5 clicks to exit from them. The ad we had this morning after our first puzzle was more than 2 minutes. Way too much.
Ive been using this app for years but recently there are so many ads (especially body shaming ads) that we cant opt out of. Even after the entire ad has run. This needs to be fixed or at least improved or we will delete this app.
We love this app and play every day. However we are getting very frustrated by the 2.5 minute ads by Gundry. We know you dont control what ads are on but this is ridiculous. Im getting so annoyed with this that we want to find a new app. PLEASE to something to control the length of ads permitted. Thank you.
Something has happened. We noticed someone else also is having issues at the same time as us. What has happened to the events in this app? This is one of the better apps and we really like it. Ive been paying a yearly fee because we like this app so much. Please fix it! Please start the events again.
Love this app. Been playing it for years. After todays update the app crashes on launch every time. Please investigate and fix.
Not sure that we will continue because the number and length of the ads. We really like the game challenge.
We love the game and pay for it every year, but now there are so many ads that it is frustrating to play. No time to look and think between ads. We are considering canceling it. It is so frustrating.
This was the best of all the Killer Sudoku apps until a couple of weeks ago. Up until then you could close and restart the app to skip ads. Now, no matter how many times you restart, the ads are still there. And not just short quick ads like the better games show. These ads last for at least a full minute. Im on the lookout for a new go-to app.

We love this game – have been playing it for years & am a very loyal user. But Im having the same problem as another reviewer. As of 4/2025, it keeps throwing up ads that take up more than the full screen. They wont play out or go away and we cant close out of them. We have to reboot every single time. Please fix this problem.
We loved playing this game, but now there are so many ads. Some of the ads get stuck on a black screen and the only way to fix it is to completely turn off our iPad. They ruined a great game.
As of April 2025, Somehow ads took over and 90% of the time when we open the app to play, an ad appears and there is no way to close it. It doesnt even go away after a minute. We have closed the app and reopened it, that worked maybe 40% of the time, either opening the app to let us play or displaying an ad that can be closed. This happens again after we complete a game. And when am forced to close the app, we loose our reward we earned in the game. We have deleted and reloaded and still having this issue. Before this problem, we really enjoyed this app, but now, we are deleting it and will find a different app.

If we had given this game a review a few weeks ago we would have given it 5 stars. Today it gets two because we cant even finish a game without an ad taking us to the internet!!! We can deal with it before and after, but not during.
We hope its a glitch, but the game has started to abruptly take us to the internet for an ad. Out of curiosity, is your company hard up for cash so youre now pushing ads in the middle of games to generate more revenue (instead of only at the beginning or end of a game), or is it simple greed.
We stayed with it when all our records and hints disappeared. We stayed with the incessant ads at the beginning and end of games. Now we click on a square to answer and Im taken to an add. Cant even play.
LOVE THIS GAME – paid for no ads we love it so much – game now crash everytime we open it.
And the virus is McAfee. We dont possess McAfee on our device but we cant play a game without it dropping us into a McAfee scan. The only solution is to delete your app. Bye bye. So we tried it again and no more McAfee and because we like the game and things went pretty well as the ads were bearable for a while but lately not so much. In fact the ads seem like the only reason to come and its a fight. Theres no turning them off or geout of them. Im done.
Such a fun puzzle game. Only problem is that after playing for a few months we have the dozen or so puzzles almost memorized. It reduces the challenge to say the least. We will continue to play, hoping that you can increase the number soon.

Just a constant stream of ads between games and during some games. Id be happy to pay for this game if it would eliminate the ads.
Love this game sbc the different levels of challenge. Ive been playing it for several years. Now, however, the game goes to blank screen after game is completed and we have to exit and restart the game. It has gotten progressively worse! Please advise Id hate to leave this way to use and fun game but frustration level is going from Difficult to Extreme.
Dont get hung up in the killer aspect. Regular rules work well.
We love doing brain games while we listen to our audiobook and fall asleep. Ive been playing this game for the last 6 months with no issue. But lately this app keeps pausing our Audible app. Which ends up upsetting us and keeping us awake since we keep having to go back to audible to hit the play button. Since this is the only time we really play this game, Ill have to switch to a different app until this gets fixed.
This game will be deleted from our library soon unless the ad situation is improved.

Im trying to play Close the Ad, Mute the Ad, and Close the Pop-up but sure enough every 5 minutes the app makes us play a game of Suduko before we can resume. Suduko is only a small fraction of the time but bills gotta be paid. ;P.

We dont think its always been this way, but recently there are soooo many ads. There is one before and after every single game. So you get an ad after you finish a game, and then as soon as you start another game theres another ad, 2 in a row. Some of them are 30 seconds long and cannot be skipped. And now its a recurring payment to get rid of ads not even a one time payment? Super annoying especially when moving through games quickly.
The additive numbers are too small.
We dont know when this changed, but there are long ads after every single game now. Im done. Will find a different killer sudoku.
Love the game and paid for a subscription which promised no ads. For awhile we wasnt getting ads but they started again. We will never respond to one of their ads.
