The romance of the 3 kingdoms versionit would be great.
They give no information on summon rates and its possible this the worst gatcha game of all times. They dont give you any chances to get summons or ways to get the coins to get summons its all IRL money and after doing 12 tenfold summons which is btw over 100 dollars IRL money still didnt get the char. Fun game but waaaaay over priced in comparison to almost every other game in this genre.
Great game, a refreshing break from all the AFK games.
If you dont spend money, it is still fun and playable. We enjoy mindless games, so 5 stars.
We have no taste on strategy games but when we tried this game its really good, so far this is our first favorite jrpg game to play the stories are good and the graphics are relaxing.

Warsong was a favourite , this is a much improved version. The voice in Japanese with eng subs really feels like anime.
This game is amazing. Graphics , gameplay characters design.
This game is very easy to learn and fun. But layers upon layers of subtlety built in. All in all probably the best imagining of a jrpg on mobile.

This is an amazing game, however the rankings (R, SR, and SSR) could be reviewed. There are some Rs and SRs who are better than SSR.

Reasons this game is great.. Gameplay- we have been playing every day since launch. The game is addicting and there is so much to do which keeps you coming back. Draws on familiar mechanics of other turn based genre games making them fresh, and offers unique features. Graphics and arts style (and voice acting) are all amazing Customer Service- The developers actually genuinely try their best to help out and care about the people playing the game. We lost our data with the new patch, and they helped us find it! Not only that, but they listen to the concerns and opinions of their consumers. If you have questions or concerns, they will listen. Not P2W- Over the past 5 or so years, games are becoming more and more money hungry, and one huge test for us in terms of games is how big the pay to win factor is. There are things you can buy in this game, but they only aid you in your quest, and cannot guarantee you will be successful at the game. You still have to grind the levels, use strategy in battles, etc. We have spent some money on the game, but only because we feel it has been worth it, which is saying something because we very rarely spend real money on games.
Just a well thought through easy game play for casual or power gamer game. Great balance and leveling. Some parts are challenging like levels 38-48 but it makes you use tactics. Play it Dailey with two accounts and still enjoy it as much as day one.
The good: A game most mobile games should be. Good story that you dont need to know the original content to get, because we had never heard of Langrisser before we saw ads on FB. This game, its story and so on… Feels like a labor of love, like Sonic Mania where Sega let another dev give it a go and they hit a grand slam. The devs seem really into telling you a story and keeping the game pretty much free. We really appreciate the sentiment. The auto mode almost always does a fantastic job and sets you up to win. The bad: The level 25 wall. It hits like an NFL linebacker and when it does, your progress will halt until you grind a bunch. They tried a watered down Scissors/Paper/Rock thing (that you forget about even with it sitting in your upper right corner) for their battle system. At times you will coast in a battle with your chosen characters until you meet a rock that beats your scissors after 10 missions facing paper. The devs hand out upgrades to the mains and Jessica fast, but its tough to find them for others… The ugly: the lack of communication with others in the game. There is none. Its odd to say the least. Easy 5*. It deserves it but it can still get better.
When you guys told us that we should update game, we tried everything as you guys said. ESPECIALLY YOU GUYS SAID THAT IF we CANNOT UPDATE IN APP STORE, we need to uninstall and reinstall whole game and thats what you said. BUT MY 2 of Ssr characters and 40 to 41 level characters are all gone because of reinstall. You guys should compensate or redo for that thing. We WANT MY IDS BACK!!! Im a huge fan of langrisser so we were so pleased this game was came out of world but we feel really bad!!! This is insane that if you guys just blame that apples app store. This is getting us mad.
This game is a f2p Strategy RPG through and through. At some points there is a bit of a curve, but the game gives you every tool to win. And when you do, it feels like a genuine accomplishment. If you like to point and click and win, this game is not for you. (we know exactly which level the main bad review is discussing, which requires you to perform the most basic strategizing.) This game is INCREDIBLY F2P friendly. Currently Ive spent $1 a month on the rewind 3 mistakes per match gift. Im max leveled, with every great character, beat all content, and am in the top 100 on our server. If you WANT to spend money you can. But the game gives you everything you need to succeed. If you like Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics this game is a MUST play.
Support team finally helped us log back into our account, but we lost out on a little over two weeks worth of login stuff (54 burgers and other stuff) and we missed out on the two new characters randius and Rachel but at least we can continue where we left off, again we recommend binding your game with Twitter. Great game as long as you dont lose your account credentials.
Played until level 47 but the newest update deleted our account some how. Now we would have to start all over. Not putting money into it again if Im starting from the bottom again.
The fact that you can spend 20 dollars and STILL not have enough crystals just to do a regular 10x summon should tell you all you need to know.
SSR rate is not good enough because this game is a kompu gacha where you need specific SSR combo for them to function optimally, and for a 2% SSR rate and always 2 to 3 SSR per banner for rate up, the rate is still very low and will affect your experience in this game. A Gameplay wise it's fun , until you reach lvl 60 and then it just becomes a part time job and easily take over 2 hours to play every single day until you burn out. Everything is RNG based late game to get mats and gears to upgrade your heroes and the process takes literal months to complete. Players are literally quitting everyday because how grindy it is. Just check out the Langrisser subreddit. Overall… Meh. Could have been a better experience if the isn't so RNG dependent. Also game is p2w as hell if you want to PvP. It's hard to get into details but the devs put 95% effort into PvP and making powercreep heroes for PvP while PvE is mostly abandoned and gets very little update, and you tend to do the same contents for 95% of your PvE time while it gets extremely slowly updated. Devs also never listens anymore and just watch people quit one by one for burnt out and repetitiveness of PvE grind. So… Unless you want to play a p2w PvP game, then sure.
After the update it wouldnt work so we followed the instructions to uninstall the game and reinstall we did then our account was missing through our Facebook link so we contacted through Facebook and apparently our account was linked to another Facebook account on our phone which isnt possible because we are the only person who uses our phone and only have one Facebook account.
We love this game.. Omg, and we appreciate that the devs noticed that the may 16 update is taking long due to apple, at first we were mad and had to reinstall because we thought this was a fault of our own or the devs but as we decided to read the notice that was posted we genuinely appreciate this game and the customer service they provide, our last and only complaint is that this game is so much grind unless you pay to win, although this doesn't kill the game so we just deal with it. Thank you Langrisser.
You have the cash to burn play, if not then dont bother.
Since latest update it says we now need to connect to social media to play the character we had. We dont use social media and shouldnt be penalized for it. There is 0 customer support.
Girl characters talk submissively while hardly wearing anything, a typical Japanese insensitivities to women.
Got kicked off and havent been able to log in not sure if admins or anyone is able to help have a good amount invested into it and would had to see it all go overall great game draw rate could be better.
We started playing because we heard they did a collaboration with The Slayers anime, which was one of our favorite shows growing up. We missed the collab but hope they bring it back as its literally why we started playing. In the meantime Ive been trying to save up items and get to a good spot by going through the MSQ, doing dailies, and leveling up our squad. However the difficulty spike in this game is insane and makes the normal story mode unplayable. Its bafflingly to have level 70 characters with fully leveled classes and gear and not be able to progress in content thats supposed to be way below our level. Not sure if they expect you to buy from the cash shop and this is a way to push you to spend real money??? But its frustrating and unrewarding, and makes the game unplayable. We looked it up online to see if we were doing something wrong but EVERYONE is talking about out the difficulty spike and how bad it is and no way to really get around it. We dont even know how to progress at this point. Unless you have a squad that is all in the same faction?however that means you have to hope you get lucky from the character summons to try and assemble a fully linked squad which is impossible if youre F2P, and impossible if youve been playing for less than a year AT LEAST. We recommend only playing this if youre a super fan of the Langrisser game series as it has nothing to offer if you dont already care about these characters. Also almost every female character has comically sexy outfits with jiggle physics and everything. So much so that you would feel embarrassed to play this game in public. Its fine to have fanservice, but it feels like this game goes over the top sometimes. Just something to think about if you play this in the presence of other people.

We have come back off and on for this game and its amazing on how fun it still is. This is one of the few gachas where strategy is still required and the game is pretty unforgiving – in a good way. Old units are still useable and the new upgrades meaningful. There is just so much to do. We do wish they released more male characters as the gacha space is full of female characters that become generic after awhile. This game does its male units well and uniquely interesting. Thats what we like about the game. The units have usage and the troops fairly customizable and impactful. We think this is why we keep coming back to this game is because we feel like our chapters are MAKING progress even if its small steps. Overcoming really hard battles feels so rewarding! Whoever they have managing these systems should get applauded! Great game. There is one big caveat though, we wish the first Summonable NPC/God (Thor) that they made those stages easier. It requires a fairly large number of units and loadouts/gimmicks that can be sometimes be really unforgiving. Other than that, the player experience is pretty decent.
We can tell a lot of effort went into this gacha, its a bit more than just a quick cash grab. It seems they really want fans to enjoy their favorite characters in this kind of genre (being gacha) and have made an effort to include as much as the original ip as possible. The story isnt half-baked, not deep by any means, but serviceable. However Im running into pacing issues, not just with the gameplay but also with how fast we accrue ascension resources and are able to get to summoning heroes. It could get there a little faster is all Im saying. Also we wish we were more of a fan of the series, this is our first dive into these games, so we can see how fans would be stoked to play, Im not so keen.
Such a nice art style and one of our favorite genres of games. Truly well done.

This is a game when we used to play when we were a child and cant believe it came back on iOS!!! Been playing it for more than 3 months on the phone and its still surprisingly good~ highly recommend to download and be part of your apps.
The games really pretty fun and is really a 3+ star game but we cant play it now bc it wont update. It just keeps sending us to the game download screen in the App Store.

They couldnt have done a better job of transitioning and combining the old with the new. Im so happy we could replay the story mode like a kid. And the ability to collect your own team is a plus. We dont write reviews but this game deserves our time. Great job. We can now delete every other game we have. Edit: cant update the game.

Ever since the update for the major update of May 16 the game has been difficult to log in and its glitched for most players. They really need to fix that glitch as soon as they can.
Just laughing that it took the guy below 20 levels to realize that you just have a full magic team and you can beat that off quest at level 25. Games good without paying we can at least get one 10 char summon or more per character. Doesnt make a huge difference though since once you get a good character you like you can quest to upgrade them and not even need to summon to upgrade.
Langrisser is an amazing game, maybe the best mobile game at launch Ive ever played. The game mechanics will be familiar to anyone whos played Fire Emblem or a similar game. Unlike with Fire Emblem Heroes though youre not fighting on a condensed map. These are large maps, with lots of units taking part. Most battles will let you bring 5 units, although there are some that allow 6 or more at higher stages. The combat is pretty good, even with certain heroes being better strategy plays a major part. Its possible to clear every mission without an SSR hero, not easy, but possible. So about those SSR heroes, heres what you need to know. The main way to get heroes is through summons, that means spending crystals on summoning tickets. The rate isnt great for SSR heroes. But theres a couple of features that make it pretty nice for people who dont want to spend money. 1. There is alot of ways to get crystals or tickets in game. New summon banners open roughly every 2 weeks and in that time its possible to save up enough tickets/crystals to do 30 or so summons. That gives you a decent chance to get an SSR hero. 2. The focused banner summons change which SSR heroes have the highest rate of summon every few weeks. Additionally they guarantee that the first SSR pulled will be one of the featured heroes you do not already have. That makes getting the SSR hero you actually want far easier as your not worried about getting duplicates of one you have. 3. You need hero shards to upgrade your heroes. For most games like this that means hoping you summon duplicates, Langrisser though has a feature called Bonds that allows you to farm shards for a hero. You can get 9 shards per say, 4 per hero, and theyre guaranteed to drop. That means that once you have unlocked them through the initial summon theres no reason for you to try and summon a duplicate, unless of course you just want to speed up the farm Finally the story mode deserves some attention, as its actually pretty good. The main storyline is standard fare for RPGs but we do enjoy it and it adds something to the game. The real nice feature though is the Time Rifts, a secondary story mode that is a condensed version of the original Langrisser games. This is amazing because we imagine most people(including ourselves) had never heard of Langrisser. Being able to replay the games lets you really get a better appreciation for heroes that otherwise you would know nothing about while and is pretty fun as well as they can get pretty challenging.
We love the game but new update wont show up and now imma lose all our dailies and guild battles :(.
Many reviews state that the game gets difficult at certain levels. 25/35/45. While we agree they get difficult but all you need to do is increase things thatimpro d your characters. Pure levels won't cut it. Usually people do not pay attention with upgrading gear and quickly become overpowered. Or they ignore bonds or training. If you feel you cannot best a level of mobs equal to tour level, that means you messed up somewhere by not upgrading something. We are level 59 and am one of those who did not upgrade gear enough initially. One of the best mobile games around, but do not ignore an area. Gear should be about 5 levels within the attempted level. So if doing level 25 missions, you should have all level 20 gear. Doing level 50,, you should have at least level 40 gear.
