The 10/28 update introduced bugs. Others have reported some, but most annoying is that the shake-to-rearrange feature no longer works.
There was a recent update that included ad placement during gameplay. The ad now covers the bottom row of letters so you cant tell if a letter is an O, C, G or Q, E or F, P or R.
Been playing for over 12 years now. A great strategy game wrapped in a word game. Without a doubt our favorite head to head game ever. Our first goal of impending retirement is to make a weekly leaderboard.
We downloaded Letterpress in the before times probably in its first year and have played ever since with an old friend from the West Coast. We think, quite simply, it is one of the most perfect two person games ever. It taxes your vocabulary. It requires real strategy. It values foresight. And it tries your patience (oh the number of games Ive lost because we got greedy and played one tile too many). And, fundamentally, its design is classic, streamlined, and free of gimmicks. Its like Scrabble meets Boggle meets Chess.
We generally enjoy this gameplaying daily with our mom and one friend. Our friend is so brain heavy that he started games with us that must remain balanced (a mirror image across any line one chooses), which is a good extra challengeothers might wish to try. The advertisements became just Too much for us after many years and we finally paid for the appwhat a relief.

We frequently use Evilbot as a means of increasing our vocabulary. We would like to suggest that people can easily have a means of contacting Letterpress as a means of adding omitted missing valid words to the Letterpress dictionary.
Great game but solo play is either boringly easy or insanely difficult. Could use some tuning.
Great game but you pay through the nose because of the deceptive ads the owners promote to get rich.
We love this game and play daily. Since your update 3 days ago our letter choices pop up to the top over the player scores. Cant tell if Im making a good move or not. We have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it is still doing it. Any help available from you.
This started happening last week. Decent game otherwise.
Brilliant little game. Underrated. Simple to get into but it has great depth and strategy once you get into it. Definitely worth a try! Just please dont cheat :) Thanks to the developers for a gem of a game.
Love the game. Ive played daily since it was released, often 8+ games at once. Hate that there are so many allowed words that are not in the dictionary. That While valid for gameplay dialogue should be banished from the game.

Im utterly addicted to this game. It makes us dig deeply into our brains word bank, and it works our spatial reasoning as well. Apparently this is our personal tism and this scratches it perfectly. We also enjoy the fellow word-nerd opponents it picks for us, and love strategizing on how to outthink them. Developers are also responsive; when we wrote in suggesting a word that wasnt in their word database, they answered right away and said theyd add it. Thank you! Ill play this till Im old and addled.

Fun. Easy to learn with a surprising amount of strategy.
Quite annoying when the bot plays a word that is valid for game play but is not a real word. The person does not have the option. Otherwise, its a fun game.

Great game, there should definitely be time control options. We know the feature would be involved, but would be a great improvement. When you play someone and they just leave a board for a few days after the game has gone on for so long, its a little nerve-racking to know they may never come back . Any option to see what open challenges are out (which would be what time controls someone created a match with).
If you understand the strategy you can beat the evil bot most of the time, although it comes up with amazing words no human would see.
Letterpress is deceptively simple. It takes a strategic mind and a nimble speller to win. We love games that allow you to battle wits. This delivers. Easily, one of our favorite games on the iPhone.
Theres a new bug that started today where the app badge keeps showing 1 new turn for us. When we open the app, there is one game showing as Your Turn (1) but that game is waiting on the other player. Closing and re-opening the app doesnt fix the bug condition. This has been happening all day. The new game badge never goes away even though the game showing as waiting on us is clearly waiting on the other player. Please fix this. Thanks.

This is the most challenging, satisfying and addictive word game Ive ever played.
Love word games that are challenging and this one & this Is one of them: we dont win very often but its still fun,.
Only downside is how much time this game will steal from you. Very enjoyable. Likely good preventative care for cognitive decline, we suppose, too. (?).

Love this and our best friends do, too. We live in Hawai'we and hardly use our real vocabulary. Keeps our brain sharp and great while waiting for someone. We hate cheaters who don't rely on their own brains. But Dictionary is really limited. We have had many solid English words rejected. Hope they update.
This is a really fun game that we like.
We open letterpress the moment we fill our coffee. We always have a lot of games going. It pushes us!! We have about 30 games going. And with some contacts 5 or 6. Different games. We loves that its in different time zones. There are always letters to fill during the day. What a great game!!! Thank you.

This is our favorite word game. We still play Words With Friends, but its gotten so gummed up with add-ons and hints that theres less and less pure skill involved. This one is simple, elegantly designed, and free of all that. Its also different; not just another Scrabble re-mix. Update 3/2023: After recent update of our iPadOS on a 5th gen. Air, the game board has moved to the very bottom edge of the screen in portrait mode. This puts the on-screen flip up bar on top of the bottom row. Work with Apple to fix this please. Still love this game.
We loved the game but the ads every other turn destroy the flow and experience – so much so we deleted the game.
All of a sudden the game wont load? We tried re-installing and still nothing. Worked fine this AM. Wont work on any device.
Several years ago, we bought the premium version of the game so we wouldnt have to be bothered by ads. When the game recently froze, we downloaded a new version. When we subsequently stated on this site that we found ads on the app, admins made sure that the no ad feature continued. Thank you! We thoroughly enjoy the challenge of the game and the ease with which it normally works.

Easy to learn. Adaptable to time constraints. Only drawback is that the player that plays first has large advantage. We are finally learning to spell.
This game says PAY FOR NO ADVERTISEMENTS, but if you pay, when you upgrade your phone, YOU MUST PAY AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. This is pointless and false advertising! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY.

Such a great concept, Ive been playing this for years, but for the life of us we cant believe the amount of words that the Games dictionary does not recognize.Also, it would be great if you could delete multiple games at once.

This is a 5 star game and we love it, but for the last few days our on-going games show up as forfeited. And they show that we made a play only one day ago. Whats up with that? We dont see any other reviews with this issue. Help please.
Great quick game with options to make play more challenging. We would pay for an ad-free upgrade but its not an apparent option. Ads are long and difficult to navigate away from.
