A Glimpse into Logi5Puzz – 5×5 jigsaw Sudoku
Logi-5 Puzzle is a variation of Sudoku game. A 5×5 grid of squares is divided into 5 irregular (or pentomino) regions, each with 5 squares of the same color. The objective is to fill the grid so that each row, each column, and each region contains all of the 5 digits from 1 to 5. In other words, each digit should appear exactly once in each row, each column, and each region.
Logi5Puzz app randomly generates a huge number of possible puzzles without any predefined patterns. The app usually sets 4 to 6 numbers for each puzzle, and the player needs to finish the rest. The solution must be unique for each game.
Tap a square and a list of 5 digits plus a blank button will pop up for the player to choose a number to fill into that square. Select the blank button to clear the existing number in the square.
Tap the "Check" button to check the correctness of the result. Tap the "New" button to start a new puzzle. Tap the "Undo" button to reverse the previous actions. Tap "Redo" button to restore those actions reversed by "Undo". Tap "Help" button to get instructions.
Although 5×5 size reduces complexity of 9×9 sudoku, the irregular (or pentomino) regions of puzzles introduces challenges not seen in regular sudoku. Logi5Puzz is very good for those who do not want to spend long time playing regular 9×9 sudoku, and young kids to whom 9×9 sudoku is too challenging. It helps kids develop problem solving skills. Kids 4-6 years old may start to play. It is great fun for adults to play and keep their brain sharp.

We use this game to occupy our time when we have a short wait and nothing else to do. It keeps our mind active and can be put down when our wait is up.

Highly enjoyable, and a good challenge. We play it daily, and sometimes we have to really struggle to find the solution. Idea: offer an option to play a 6×6 or 7×7 grid, though we dont know about the colors.
We finish filling in all the numbers,and the game says there is a square nit filled. But it is. We back up and do the whole puzzle again, and it tells us again there is still an empty square, but there isnt. No way to bypass this particular puzzle that we can find. So, stalled.
Great game! Really makes you think. Love it.
This is quick and not too complicated. You can work a puzzle in just a few minutes. Great fun!

Challenging and fun. It is very satisfying to solve one ones that you believed to be impossible at first glance. 5 numbers seems about right for us now but we may buy the upgrade to this game when we master this level. Or just to support this developer. Great job on the game!
This was a good find as a free game. Simple to play, not too demanding, but gets the brain working. We play or continue a game whenever we are in a waiting room, etc.

The free version is fun and challenging but the constant POPUPS make it nearly impossible to play.
This game is simple to use, it does not give hints (which is awesome), and it causes you to pause and think from different directions. We like it for those reasons… Easy to use, no hints or mental crutches, makes you think…a very solid game!
We really like variations of sudoku. This one is by far the best. We also like the way the grid is colored, making it easier to keep track of relevant spaces.

Ran across this app while looking for sudoku puzzles and now we can’t sleep at night because we always have to solve one more! An excellent app that more people should discover.
Played this game for a while – nice. Now, however, the ads go full screen 10 or more times during a game. We understand the need for ads, but when they become obtrusive, it’s time to delete the game and move on.
A different type of sudoku. There might be a need for more difficult patters,but so far so good. Might be worth paying for to get rid of ads.
For us, it’s been perfect. We enjoy the saturation of the chosen colors. We love that there’s no interim hints. It would be nice to have a timer 1) that we could hide or show while working & 2) that we could turn on at the end even if I’d hidden it It would also be nice to have our stats available.

Would have given 5 stars but would like levels and puzzles numbered. Like the undo in order of doing.
Our son had a ThinkFun Sudoku 5×5 game and really loved it. We have been trying to find a similar game on iPad. Finally, it’s here, after almost 2 years of looking. The ThinkFun one has different levels – from beginner to expert. This is equivalent to the expert level, which just provides continuous and endless challenge for our son.
Great logic puzzle for all ages.
We tell myself this is the last game, and then we find myself hitting "new". Simple, yet very fun.
