Suddenly there is an ad after every level. USED to be an enjoyable game. Sigh.
We love playing the game, however with the new iphone14 the camera in the center of the top blocks the words we are spelling out. Please adjust the viewing area for the new phones and the rating will be higher. Thank you.
We love the concept behind this game, and really enjoy it. Had an issue with a purchase and couldnt get a response from the developer (only reason we took off a star). Otherwise its one of our favorite games. Being able to find other words to charge your batteries makes this game much more enjoyable- we can solve categories we know nothing about just by finding other random words to charge batteries or find parts of the answer.
We really enjoy this game. However, the ads are worse than ever before. Im trying to relax and we get an ad with man raping a woman. Our kid plays this game sometimes. We really dont need our child seeing that, nor do we want to be seeing that. We cant even give this app a decent rating due to the disgusting ads it throws in our face.
Keep updating! It would take years to finish every single level so there is never ending fun. Could you add the Jonas Brothers, Post Malone, and the new Disney movies. Maybe have a new category in Music for the Top 40 for each year or each decade? Also could you update the new albums from Nicki Minaj and Ed Sheeran. Thank you.
We absolutely love the game very much but when we try to click on pizza toppings category the app crashes. Ive tried restarting and restoring our phone and also deleting the app and installing it but it still happens. We dont know why. Thats the only one we have a problem playing.

Please fix pizza toppings-it just closes the app when we click on it. Tired of using disks because that is our only choice.
We love this game and had a totally free version on our kindle which we really miss. Pizza topping crashes our game.
Not only does this app miss spell about 10% of all the words, but it advertises inappropriate porn. Would not recommend for adults, let alone older children and teens working on spelling.

We haven't been able to stop playing this game! The trivia part gets progressively harder, so we let our kids play the early categories until they need our help. We all love it.
This game is fun but we hate how you have to buy disks to keep playing and we wish you could look at all the ones youve completed because we feel like Im not progressing with the game.

Update: Disregard that earlier review. Our iPhone just needed a reboot. We can finally enjoy the game. The only thing we dont like is having to buy the discs to keep going, but still awesome job. Original Review: we were enjoying this game, and having a good time playing some of the categories, though we recently came across a couple of glitches trying to finish the Holidays category. There were nine holiday words, and the last three were Halloween, Mothers Day and New Years. For some strange reason, the battery never seems to fill up when you get a bonus word, and when you enter the word again, it doesnt recognize it as a duplicate word. When we completed the words in the last third of the category, the game never registered it as completed. Also, when you try to select a new puzzle set, the game crashes back to the Home Menu. Please fix these bugs, and we will reconsider our three star rating. Thank you.
What a fun game! We like having to work at the answers.
We added this game to our mother's tablet because she loves word games. While on vacation she barely played because 6 of us were sharing her tablet so we could play. After one day of fighting, we all installed the game on our phones! Great game to pass the time. Cool that the game caters to what you like the longer you play it. Definitely a winner! Thank you for creating this fun game.
This game has a huge number of categories to choose from. Grandkids love it, and we enjoy it as well. Great app.

Lots of fun! Challenging but not impossible.
There are so many different categories from which to choose. Our one complaint is that despite the fact that we watched all the Friends episodes, we had to Google the different seasons to get all the names….but it was still a challenge to locate which ones were in which game.
We really wish there were more free categories. We have run down our game batteries by doing "not these" in search for free packs. Plus there are A LOT of music and tv/movies categories, but not enough other things.
We were absolutely addicted to this game. But now we're at a point where we can't move on. There are no more "free" categories, the categories that are there (that you can spend 1 data disk on) are all music (song titles of different artists) but playing those doesn't really move you along in that category as it disappears once you finish 1 round, and we don't have enough data disks to buy any of the packs. We're basically just getting our freebie from the store everyday in the hopes that get a data disk. Either that or we'll have to break down and buy some, which we really don't want to do.
The game itself is fun and challenging. However, in a word game, having the number of misspelled words and incorrect titles that this game has is completely unacceptable. At the very least there should be a button to report an incorrect spelling or wrong word.

After the game refused to connect to the iTunes store we deleted and downloaded our game and LOST IT ALL!!! We had bought almost every section and hundreds of dollars gone. The restore purchases won't work either. We are so upset we almost cried but we are a 36 yo woman and it's just a game lol all that money put into this app and now its GONE.
We love this game, but after playing it for a couple of months we have to keep using files but it doesn't give us very many. Our friend who plays on her kindle gets tons of files and has higher hint power? We have 2 files right now and she has 605 and we play the same way.. Her hints while playing go up to 4 and ours will only hold 2.
We like this game. It's challenging and fun. However it eats your battery pretty fast and once you are in a category there is NO going back to the main page to pick another category or anything. We just wish we felt comfortable playing it without having to think about our battery life.
We wrote a review recently. We are still having problems with the game. It is still kicking us out and making the screen go black. Then it returns us to the IPad screen. It really makes us irritated! Since Lost for Words is a really fun and challenging game. We really don't want to delete the application. So, if you could please fix the problem we would appreciate it.
As others have said, having it pause audio is a pain. Also, it's frustrating when for the daily find or the prize for finishing a pack, instead of a prize, we get offered a discount of data disks? There have been days where we couldn't play because we have zero batteries, and zero disks, but the daily wouldn't give us anything.
This game is an interesting blend of crosswords and boggle type word creation. The categories are fun and can really test your knowledge. The only knock we have is the many typos (a pretty big deal for a word game). Here are some examples: Colombia, not Columbia (South America) Metropolis, not Metropoolis (Superman) Gaunt, not Count (Harry Potter).
We absolutely loved this game at first, until we started coming across so many spelling mistakes! What kind of word game has spelling mistakes? Leprechaum, instead of Leprechaun for example. There are too many to mention. We would have given this game five stars, if not for this issue. Why not do an update to fix this.
