Mach Dice is a Roleplaying/Entertainment game from Tony Kobayashi, first launched in 11th February 2019.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 15+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Mach Dice Stand Out

You can use it anywhere, even in places where dice rolling is inconvenient: In a car (not while driving)! On a plane (not while piloting)! In the bathroom! Well, you get the idea.
Nominated in the "Best Dice Game" category by bestappever.com!

Community Insight:
We have had this app for a very, very long time. Ever since we had the first gen iPod touch. It amazing that the maker has supported it so long. Ive used the app many times when ever we didnt have our physical dice available and was in need of some. We wish we could donate more to the maker of the app.
Even handles non-standard dice, simply the best.
Five stars 18 intelligence Forty-seven cake pops All the oscars, screen actors guild, and peoples choice awards! Please keep it up, and keep the updates coming. Ive tried a a bunch-o-these things and we keep coming back to Mach dice.
Ive tried dozens of apps over the past couple of days and this is the first app Ive found that does everything Im looking for to play a wide variety of dice games. The only things we dont see are a way to clear the history or a way to reach the developer from inside the app.
This app does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it exceptionally well! Also doesn't hurt that it's gorgeous.
This is a great app and we love being able to shake our device to shake and roll the dice. Our only complaint is that you cant roll 2d10 as percentile. This is done with one die marked with tens values (10, 20, 30, up to 00) and the other die marked 0-9. Make this possible and we'll add two more stars.
We can't find the very important (especially when around sleeping kid) VOLUME CONTROL! It's not obeying music volume. Or having its own setting for it, that we can find. Please fix so we can 5-Star.
We got this app on our old iPhone 3G and thought it was so cool to be able to roll D20's on our phone. We still use it when we're gaming and am too lazy to look for our dice. We also use it anytime we want to make a random decision such as what combo meal to order in the drive through.
We have about 15 different dice apps (we're a bit of a dice addict) and we have to say this app is the absolute best.
Can't say enough good things about this app. You can get really creative with dice colors by importing images. This works especially well with images of fractals. You can make some really pretty dice this way. <dork> It really is the next best thing to carrying around your dice pouch </dork> Some further expansion on these options, such as multiple colors at once would be great.
Easily the best dice rolling app we have tried.
We've tried a bunch of dice roller apps and this is clearly the best. Get it.
This is fantastic. We created custom dice so we can play Descent (2nd Edition) – it also allows you to customize just about everything else and roll any number of dice. If you're looking for a good dice app, this is what you're looking for.
This app is a nearly perfect replacement for real dice, and provides a wide variety of options such as simultaneously rolling 1d20 and 2d6. The ability to create skins is also great, but also keeps the app from 5 stars because (1) you can only skin a maximum of 6 sides and (2) a bug occasionally draws a blank side. Even so, and especially for an indie product and at this price, an overall great app.
This is hands down the best dice app in the market, and we have tried them all. The physics may be a bit funky, but the results are truly random and the customization for dice combos is a life saver. We would like to see more in the future, like custom backgrounds and user defined amounts of pages instead of the default ones, even as an in app purchase. It hasn't been updated in a while, but there isn't much to update. Great app.
This is a great app once you understand how to use it. It was not clear to us how to actually use custom dice once you create them until we watched a tutorial video on it from the developers website. This would be more helpful if there was instructions within the app. But once we finally got it figured out, this became the best custom dice app we have seen so far. Love it.
Two requests… First, landscape support. Two, give us either presets or else don't include the held dice in the total. It's a little bit annoying to have to manually enter a few combinations over and over. We would love a running history where we could select from recent rolls: 1d20, 1d20+2, 3d6, 1d10+4. Well written app, would easily be 4 stars if free. Nice work developer, will check out your other D&D/RPG apps as well.
We've bought the In-App to customize and it's not clear how to use. There isn't a "help" ,"FAQ", but after try we found. The custom background doesn't work in our iPhone 5S. In fact, the developer should work hard to revamp this app, so far 2 stars is too much.
It costs a dollar to 'buy' each of your own custom dice.
Bought this app for exactly 1 reason. The advertised custom dice creator. What they didn't tell you. Each custom die is $$$ each. In other words, pay $$$ each time to be able to pay more $$$ to get what you were supposed to get the first time.
We bought this and the custom HeroQuest dice, but could use the new dice in the app. A waste of money as far as we're concerned.
Formula gets wiped if you want to edit/add/remove dice from table New custom dice get formula id's that bounce the others which messes up the formula using the other existing dice Locked dice dont STAY locked when leaving a table. Cant customize dice with basic iOS keyboard numbers/letters/symbols. You have to import pictures. Cumbersome. The formula entry screen doesnt always work. Creating/managing multiple sets of dice in this, that need to be used as a "group" or "team" of dice on a single table is nearly impossible in this app. You might have 2 sets of 5 dice set up. 2 formulas on two tables to use the 2 sets. As soon as you create another custom dice (the first in another 3rd set) the dice on your two previous tables and formulas are screwed up ( see 2nd issue described above ). HORRIBLE. This app needs a ton of refinement.
We just downloaded this, and like it so far except…. To change the dice is an In App Purchase????? Seriously? That blows.
The best 3D dice roller ever. Great job.
This dice app is well thought out and complete. It lets you see the dice as you roll them (as opposed to numbers just appearing), and goes above and beyond the call of duty by providing histories, different backgrounds, colors, and even let's you make custom dice (in app purchase).
See subject; great app otherwise.
The new iPad version is good, but the backgrounds are fuzzy.
No custom backgrounds? And the existing backgrounds are still low resolution. Please, fix this oversight. 4 stars for continuing to support a 99 app, the 5th will come if either of our two issues are addressed. Oh, and as soon as we figured out how, we immediately bought the in-app purchase for custom dice. Not because we loved the idea (don't get us wrong–it really is a nice feature), but to support the continuing development of Mach Dice.
We went looking for dice applications because we had the need to roll more than 20 dice simultaneously. Mach dice is a very nice application that handles rolling up to 100 dice. We love being able to specify the number and color of the dice rolled. The supplied backgrounds are nice, but it would be nice to be able to specify your own. Also when tilting the device, the dice "bend" a little. Thats an incredibly minor issue that really does not affect usage. One last suggestion would be the ability to save die roll presets that would selectable in the formula area ! Well done.
Great die rolling app with one very annoying problem. Constant error messages about low memory. None of the 100+ apps that we have seem to have this problem. Could you please look into it? 3 stars until we can use this without having to reset our new iPod touch.
Great app for rolling when dice are unavailable or impractical – also just a lot of fun. Lots of customization, works with lots of systems like D20, Warhammer, Vampire etc. Because you. Can pick and choose and die in any configuation, up to 100 die at once. Really cool.
Awesome app. You cant beat the price either. It handles inputting of dice amounts perfectly, and the rolling is fun. Its only lacking the ability to choose your own background and the available dice skins arent the best, but those are very minor things. Highly, highly recommended.
Great dice App! The best we've ever seen. Keep up the good work.
We bought this app to roll dice in D&D and various board games, and it works wonderfully. The feature set is very solid, and the ability to have multiple dice configurations that you can flip through easily is very handy. The rolling animations are nice and make this much better than a free dice roller like 'dice bag', which makes rolling in games considerably less exciting in our opinion. We can suggest a few features, such as a much better ui for inputting dice formulas, and customizable backgrounds, but this app does what it promises and more, and is clearly worth of 5-star review.
All standard gaming dice types are given full 3D counterparts, from a coin shaped d2 up through the d12 and d20. Selecting dice to roll is as simple as typing in "2d10+1d6" and hitting "Roll", and watch as three dice hit the table. Rerolling only select dice is easy, as you can select which dice to hold in place while you reroll the rest. It even takes tilt data and changes your angle of view of the dice, so that you can actually look at the table from different angles and see different sides of the dice. The only thing we've found that it is missing is the ability to automatically drop dice from a roll (such as 4d6 drop lowest). Other than that, it does everything. Even non-standard dice, like d30 and d100 are supported. The 3D image is that of a d20 with ? On each face, but it does tell you what the roll was. D7, d13, d92, whatever you could want, this can roll. Ability to customize table and dice colors just add to the feel. Easily the best dice roller out there for tabletop gaming needs.
It does exactly what it says it does, and it works like a charm. Now we regret spending 20-plus bucks on D&D dice.
The ultimate dice app. After a long time searching and after trying a dozen others, this is the best.
This app is amazing. If you need dice then this is the one to get. If you are amazed by physics then get this app, it's fun.
This little app is the best dice app we've seen, ever. Multiple tables are great. Pinning dice is super easy. Fun just to mess around with when not using it.
Love this program. Does exactly what you need it to do.
Slightly complicated to work out some of the setup, but it is very pretty. Only lacking one star because you can't give 1/2 stars! The last one would come with some better directions, and even then we may fix the review with some more practice. Edit: fun program, though not terribly intuitive. We get a lot of "running out of memory" messages, odd in a iPod only 1/2 full, and we don't have that many programs on here. The biggest change we would like is to see a list that allows you to see what dice sets you have set up to roll; maybe something off to the side or bottom that rolls you prebuilt sets? It is a cool program though, and is a lot cooler than the other apps we've played with. Easily worth a buck.
We kept playing with it just because it was fun to roll all the dice and watch how realistically done they were.
Ericahs, real-Jazz, and iPhone-girl: Motion X only rolls six sided dice. Nerds need dice with more sides. A free app that doesn't do what we want is not better. Now please be quiet and go back to your bunco club or whatever.
We don't even have a need for this, and it's worth every penny. Get it.
Us and our wife can now play Dice (10,000, points, ect….) ANYWHERE!!!! All we need is a small pad to keep track of the score. No more boring waits in the doctor's waiting room.
But, there are a few things that could be improved on. First, using the equations to select dice us annoying. It would be better if there were a list Or something to choose dice. Also, slightly better dice physics. Other than that, great job.
Without exception, this is the best dice app available for the iphone. The creator has done an incredible job listening to feedback and creating a truly great app. One request: d2's should have a heads/tails option for coin flips like the numbers/pips option on d6's. We can't wait to see what other apps come out from mister Mach.
If you need dice for any game in any number, buy this app.
This little app needs an Apple Design Award! There's very little, other than eye-candy, that could be done to improve Mach Dice. We like how tapping on a die will put it in a little dimple and "lock" it in place, allowing you to roll the other dice. And, it's totally multi-touch, so we can use two fingers to lock and move our two d10s out of the way and roll the other dice. This is the best-executed iPhone app we've seen, period.
Easy too use. Full of flexibility. As real as it can get. Definitely recommend it.
