A Glimpse into Maginary. Adventure text book.
Maginary is the unique fiction novel where your are one of the main characters. It connects our real world with the world of your imagination through the iPhone.
Michael Sterry — the previous reader of this book — woke up in a strange, far distant land called Anzo. The only thing he’s got is the medallion which somehow broadcasts everything into your imagination. You will need to use your brains, your hands and even your legs to help Michael survive in Anzo and get him back into our real world…
This unique immersive experience will allow you to get lost in your imagination with the help of:
- Over 70 beautiful animations with typography that will turn it into magical experience (think of magic diary from Harry Potter)
- Audio and video sfx that will be adjusted to your reading speed
- Original plot with interesting twists and unusual characters

Inventive storytelling approach. Loved it.
So we were thinking about games that are kinda cool, and so we eventually ended up on a peculiar app called Maginary. Anyways, we gut so into the story, that we couldnt stop reading! We loved this game, and the wild adventures that it had us experience. We highly recommend downloading it if you havent already. (I can also tell that the developers spent a lot of time working on this, so thank you!)
We enjoyed the experience so much. We do not really leave reviews, let alone pay for full versions of apps. It isnt too much, so for those that can, we highly suggest paying for it. We think it is worth paying for, and helps the creators. The story is very creative and gets the reader involved. We really like this aspect as it gets the reader thinking and has them interact to help the story move along and to interact with the characters. We loved the story and the art/animations that came along with it, it helps to make the story come alive while allowing you to interact with it. We look forward to other works by these amazing creators!

We are not usually very interested in playing games, but this one has us hooked! It combines the progression of books with out of box strategies that remind us of Metal Gear Solid. It is an immersive experience and is totally worth the $4.99 for the whole book!

This interactive story had you thinking outside of reality into the imaginary. Bringing the reader into their world made this a truly unique experience.
This is likely the most unique app we’ve ever used. Sort of like a digital The Neverending Story. Highly recommend!
That was an amazing experience it was very immersive. Maginary just makes you want to keep reading and figure out what the heck is going on. We loved it we cant wait for more stories like these. All the characters were very well described and really made it easy for you to imagine them and what they are actually going through. It is definitely worth paying for.
Very well done blending of a text-based puzzle adventure with available technology. Super clever and fun.
Now this. THIS WAS EPIC. Im sad that we cannot buy the full version yet. But hey we got something to look towards for when we can. The coding is impressive and the puzzles we saw where Genius but we do got to wonder how does it all work? We hope this goes far. Cause we CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT COMES NEXT!
Heads up, this game can be downloaded on the iPad, but if you buy the full version you will get to a point where youll need to walk a certain amount of steps. The iPad does not track steps (as far as we know), so we ended up re-downloading onto our phone and rereading up until that point. So, if you decide to buy the full version, its best to start the adventure on your phone! Overall this game was a lot of fun. We loved how immersive the world was with the sounds and changing texts. Im glad we finished it till the end, it was about 2.5 hours of reading.
Everything about this is magnificent. As an avid reader that has been reading for years, we have developed quite the imagination and this app really gave us some feels. We wasnt even mad when we had to pay for the full app because they told us in a fun way. We were sad to leave, and we really was attached to all the characters. We didnt want to see Michael go, but Ill always remember the interesting things about him. Our family thought we were strange running around the house, but it was all worth it. This experience is going to live in our head for a long time to come, and we will share Maginary with as many people as we can. Best app ever.

Beautifully done! We will certainly look forward to any more experiences these geniuses have to offer! We would like to give just one single piece of feedback that we think would make this book a little better. We think it would be a little more immersive if near the end when they start talking about dates and specifically when they mention the year when the events are taking place, you guys could access the reader’s calendar or something like that so that the year they mention reflects the real year when the reader is reading. For example: They mention that the story is taking place in 2020 and we’re actually reading in 2021. It’s really not a big deal at all! We just thought it would make this masterpiece just a little better :)
As our first time reading this type of interactive book we must say we enjoyed it. We feel the price was high for a first time but we guess there must be costs involved in this type of book. We do recommend reading it in longer spells if possible.

This is very fun. Though we dont agree with the price of it, thats not what Im here for. This game is honestly more entertaining than we thought. Having to constantly move around and imagine is hard for us, but this book helps. Im a senior in high school so we dont really need our imagination for much. In all honesty, this is a stress reliever. Our little sisters even enjoyed it with us. Its like a family game. That honestly never gets old. Our pets tend to stare at us which honestly is makes us laugh along with the story sometimes. If your looking for something fun and interactive we suggest this. It doesnt cause us to feel overwhelmed or overstimulated . We dont feel under-stimulated either. For people who have Special Needs, or ADHD or ADD. We recommend it, as you tend to be captivated in the What happens next? How do we solve this ? Is there another ending?. As anticipation is what keeps us playing because we tend to forget that its just a game but it feels real. We love it. We honestly want more games like these.

We tend not to buy full versions of apps, but we were too interested and Im so glad we did. This is truly immersive text and it was so much fun and such a cool ending! Im so glad we downloaded this and we would recommend to anyone. So so worth it!
Love it just wish we didnt have to pay for it. Wish we could keep reading! Why did he stick the coin in the machine?!

This reminds us of the visual novels we used to play on our laptop except more immersive. Why do people think everything has to be free because its in an app? If you go to the bookstore you have to pay. And the game cartridge store. This is easily worth the 5 dollars! Right now Im stuck on the safe combination because Im not hearing whatever Im meant to listen for. But we will get it! As a side effect, this got us outdoors and we met 2 neighbors while trying to help Michael get to the next page. Please tell us there will be more books like this!

At the time of starting this it has been amazing , the game has mechanics that we havent seen before , such as using different apps in your phone to guide Michael alongside yourself. It is something we have been enjoying and is much worth the price of 5 dollars, would love to see more stories made like this!

This is hands down the most magical reading experience we’ve ever had in our life. We are still reeling from the conclusion. We loved every minute of this and it was well worth the money we spent on it. Absolutely incredible.
This game had us hooked in the first chapter and Im downloading the rest of it now we almost never play for mobile games but this one is different its tons better than a lot of others we’ve played definitely recommend if you like reading and adventure 10/10.

We hope this app opened a new era of fiction. The writing is great and the experience is excellent. A true adventure in a fiction story. The effort in perfecting the effects and the level of creativity already pays for the app. The way they incorporated the payment in such a unique way was fun and we were happy to pay out of respect. We buy books for more than $5-10 and this app/story is a steal for the price they ask for. Great read, but most importantly, we leave inspired by the creators unique approach and phenomenal work.
