What Makes Mahjong (1bsyl) Stand Out
This is a Mahjong game, a one-player game.
The goal is to clear the board by removing all the matching identical pairs from the layout.
A valid pair consists of two tiles which are both "free" and "identical" (or of the same type).
In more details, you can remove a pair of tiles if the following condition are true:
The tiles are identical (e.g. 4 and 4, West and West, etc.)
All of the seasons and flowers can be matched with each others, they don't have to be identical.
Each tile of the pair must comply with the following rules :
- No other tile is lying above or is partially covering it
- No other tile is lying to the left or to the right of it

Sadomasicism in app form…most games allow only a couple moves. Over half of the 96 games cannot be solved. No hints, no help, just frustration. Only download this if self flagellation just won't do it for you.

At last! A game that isnt filled with multiple ads, distractions and interruptions! It is a game we had on an old iPad some years ago and loved it then! Thankfully, we found it again to replace the previous one that was becoming very annoying due to an ad at the bottom that was covering the functions!! We love the game but sometimes the keys get stuck. But just do it again. Its a hard game but very challenging. Im doing it again. Ive completed just about each game. Some more times. Do it.
Mahjong is our go-to game and we have worked A LOT of them over the years! This version is super! Turn off the timer and enjoy or time yourself if you want! These puzzles are difficult enough to keep us engaged. You have total control of your board set-up and we love that there are no hintsyou just have to keep at it until you win or get the lose notification. The classic tile faces are perfect. Enjoy.
We enjoy Mahjong as an older person working to keep our brain active. We have tried numerous other apps that have more bells and whistles, shuffles, different tile themes, and so on… They all have some horrible and annoying ad thing you have to watch after every win or loss, often with long delay and a confusing exit back to the game. This app uses the traditional tiles only, has a good selection of puzzle forms, and has a good zoom feature for visual aid. It has a reasonable but limited customization menu, and no shuffle or pay to win features. This version is perfect, you should not expect to win every time, as Mahjong is an ancient and challenging game. There is an ad banner across the top that does not interfere with play. Because we so appreciate all of the above, we will click through ads on the banner when we have some interest in them. Thanks.
We always play this game ten wins then delete and reinstall and play again, play all 96 patterns and then play them again.

When we first started playing it seemed the proportion of games we lost was a lot higher than the few we won. Hard to learn why so many pieces were locked. It was discouraging. Today we are winning a few more. We did read the hints, but still struggled. One constant issue is with the flower tiles. Not sure what we are doing wrong. Will continue to play and learn.
It is nice to play but it too small. The ads strip above needs to go, and the play buttons on the left should be smaller. This will make the tile display board much larger so you can see the tiles better.
Im trying out different mah jong apps and so far this one is great. It only needs 2-4 more choices on tile patterns to make it more unique.
Great game of mahjong without ads and hoopla.
Games end before board is even half cleared. Mahjong we have played could always nearly clear or totally clear every game. What is the point of making it impossible to clear except for occasionally.
This game wins far more than it should. Especially because it is also for CHILDREN. These games should be appropriate for all. We havent been able to find a clear cut game of Mahjong online. This is close but it plays badly for the player. We lose much more often than we win. Poorly built.
Despite our setting choices: Game does not play music. Game does not give hints. Tiles are small and hard to read. We LOVE NO ADS but sad about the rest. We only play it for the experience to find a better game.

We had been looking for a new Majong game, tried a few and really like this one.
Im enjoying the fact that you do not have to begin with baby steps before to advancing to more difficult games. The games are challenging from the get go.

There are a lot of versions of Mahjong out there, many with silly gimmicks. This one is elegant, straightforward and fun to play. Its the best.

The only thing that we think would make this game better would be having a sheet that showed you the tiles played already. This way if you get to the end of the game with two identical tiles left atop one another, you could refer back to the tiles you have already played and see if its worth undoing in an attempt to win the game.
We viewed several games before installing this one. Its the best of all in our opinion. The only thing that could be improved in this app is a better visual separation between the pieces. Maybe with an extra shaded bevel on one side and top or bottom, just so that each stands out better.
We like to play this in our down time. Its mentally challenging.
