We’ve had this game for years and we wish that some new levels would be added. New tiles would be nice. Overall we enjoy the game.
We’ve been playing this game for 13 years. Still love it. The tile sets are beautiful and the music is just right for the game. Our only suggestion would be to offer a variation on the classic version with new paintings or some other mini-game between sections of Venice. Thank you, Andreas.
We absolutely love this original take on the classic mahjong game. We love the tiles and the mini puzzles when you play in classic mode, and the different tile sets and layouts. We also love that theres no ads, no in-app purchases or subscriptions. We can play this game offline too. Our only quibble is that the game looks kind of stretched and funny on our iPhone 11 Pro, which makes it a little hard to play. Id bump this review up to five stars if the developer could fix that. One in-app purchase Id like to see is the ability to tip the developer as an additional thank you for such a great game.
We DONT WANT AN AD ON A GAME we PAID FOR. We like this game. Its easy to play, visually appealing, and we can play when we have a few moments here and there. But if you do not want any ads, as we do not, then do not purchase this game. Why, on a game that we paid for, is there an advertisement on the continue screen linking to another game from this developer?!?! Its easy to miss the continue button and hit the ad instead, which takes you to the App Store. This issue needs to be fixed. We wont buy the linked game on principle.
Have been playing this game since it first came out years ago. The new levels and tiles are fun. We love that the developer keeps updating the game with new levels and new tiles. 2020 and still love the game.
Good game, but it goes black (Dead ends)As soon as we construct our doomsday machine within the game. The screen goes black and game is totally unresponsive. Very disappointing, because the game is enjoyable. Please fix or return our money.
We wrote to you about a month ago. Our problem is the game doesnt give us enough time to get 4 alike tiles. We get 2 tiles and we go to get the other2 tile and we cant get. The time is too short For us to get to the other tiles. We are a senior citizen, so maybe we are too slow. We have been with this for a lot of years. We would appreciate an answer. Thank you.

If you love mahjong, youre going to ABSOLUTELY LOVE this game. It is fun and very challenging, and is really great for using your memory … Especially the higher in levels you go….. And there are a TON of levels!!! We also like that there are many tiles to choose from too. We play this at least once per day and love it. Thank you for a great game!!!

This drop-dead gorgeous game is a KEEPER! It is either free (an ad plays after each completed level, but not on the board while you play) or you buy it with a one-time purchase, less than US $5. You can play dozens of levels and experiences without ever being pressured to buy with real $$ the safe where your virtual gold coins have accumulated (-la Candy Crush dubious style). The gold coins you earn along the way are waiting for you to purchase clever helpers if you needed help, and it you fail to finish a level the first time, you try a second round without losing the progress on the first round (you give up a life, and if your play well, the developers give you another life to replace the lost one). Now we understand why some players here write about staying faithful to this game since it was launched ten years ago: the multi-narrative journey takes you through the Italian Veneto neighborhoods during the time of the Renaissance. The artwork is gorgeous, the twists and turns in the different story-lines keep our curiosity level engaged, and there are historical notes that place the artwork used in the game within their original context. Once you decide to purchase the game less than US $5 the ads disappear for ever and you are never asked to buy lives or coins, or safes, or gifts, or whatever. After playing five levels on the Save Venice introductory story, we purchased the game to get a smoother ride. Challenges are sometimes difficult to figure out, but are devoid of the frustration other games purposely build into their platform to push players to spend a lot of real cash. We never go for those come-ones. We are still at the Easy level, but look forward to walk through all the stories available, then walk those stories again through each of the other four levels. We finished the Island of Murano (the Island of the glass-makers across the Venice bay) in one single day, a day off, because we were so captivated by the challenges of resolving riddles, deciphering plans, spotting details on paintings, etc., and playing Mahjong tiles as well. There are rare, tiny glitches that the Devs seem to address quickly. We play the game on a 2018 10 iPad Pro with iOS 12.2 , and so far the experience is practically flawless. Venice Mystery is like opening a rich, interactive story book that keeps entertaining you and never lets you down, and is hard to put down! Many thanks to the team of developers, artists and marketing professionals who have been hard at work on this for the last ten years! Bravo!
Great fun game. But we started getting game ads between levels, all the time and its annoying!!!! We paid for our first game years ago, we think, and we hate ads every time we move forward! Can they be blocked???

We really enjoy this version out of all the mahjong games; which are many. We admit we havent ventured into hard games at all and medium very seldom. We find the easy games difficult enough, especially with the time constraint. We are not complaining as this is our problem but we do wish you had a no time version only as we have Parkinsons and therefore a tremor which when stressed exacerbates:). Now understand we wish it for ease of playing and enjoyments sake only. We do not expect nor ask for it. The game is great. We find it fun, challenging, unique and imaginative. The tiles are attractive and easy to see. We love the idea behind finding all the specific tiles within the time required,(though see above note; notwithstanding). Nonetheless, nice job guys. This is, we repeat the BEST Mahjong game on the market. Thank you.
Challenging, builds hand/eye coordination. You won’t want to put it down. Much better than basic Mahjong .
Ok can you tell us after you put the circles where they are to go and you do the first whole map can you please tell us if thats the end of the game, because our screen has went blank and never said the end or anything. If it is this game is so short. Please reply thank you. We just started to enjoy the game and boom its blank.
We really enjoy the game, however, we seem to be stuck. We have played the game, have been able to get the scrolls, but we are having trouble getting the gears to go together. A few of them we have gotten the gear fixed and we have no idea how we were able to get them in correct order. We cant play the game until we get all thirteen of the gears put together correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Had the original version for several years & enjoyed it. The original re-arranged the tiles once a puzzle was finished. In the new version the tiles remain the same every time you re-do a particular puzzle. After a few rounds of a particular puzzle it becomes boring.
IPhone 5s with iOS 12… Broken. Touching tiles… No response.
Wonderful game. Pay and Play version: pay once, after that: no ads, no in-app purchases. Wish you would make a Pay and Play version of your mahjong garden game.
We’ve been playing Venice Mystery on our Macs for ten years, originally downloaded through Big Fish Games, and even if we leave it for a year or two, we always come back to it. We thought Id search to see if it was available for iPad, and sure enough, there it was! It is much easier to play on the iPad, but the only thing we miss is the UI artwork on the desktop version (if you get a chance, take a look). We would also love the ability to lose the shine from the playing pieces, ortall orderhave the ability to use more detailed tiles (like in the desktop version). That would be awesome! After all these years of enjoying this game, its nice to see it still doing so well. Thanks.
We love this game! It is a lot of fun. The only cons are that it doesn’t count your last level toward your score. And since we had to uninstall and reinstall, for some reason we’re not getting bonus points. No matter how fast or how many chains of multiple 8 plus blocks we get.
And they still havent fixed it. The game play is smooth, very good. But you finish the classic levels find all the parts and the game crashes. You do not get even a bland congratulations screen. It did this on our iMac and it still does it now. And now that we’ve finished all the levels, here is a more complete review. The game is gorgeous. Even the classic levels, and the new tile sets are eye popping. Some of them make quick play very hard. The classic levels are the most fun since they offer some mini-games interspersed between the regular matching levels. The picture puzzles get quite hard by the end. You can set the game to be as hard or as easy as you like, it offers a timed and an untimed mode and four levels of difficulty. But. . . As mentioned before, the game crashes at the end of the classic levels. It speaks well of the devs that they noticed the review and reached out for more information hoping to find a fix, but if they havent found one in ten years we dont think theyre going to. It is apparently only a problem for a few people. The other major problem is mentioned in another review. The score of the last level in all tile sets doesnt get counted. If you really obsess about scoring youre going to be unhappy with this game. Nevertheless its a good game.

We’ve been playing this game for a long time, and have never gotten tired of it. Glitches have been fixed, so it’s just about perfect. This mahjong has some of the most beautiful tiles we’ve seen. It also is deferent from any other mahjong. The story is good, the games are great. We would definitely recommend it. Please come out with more of these type of mahjong games.
We’ve played this game for years and it never gets old! Love the tiles and when new ones come along! Venice Mystery is a great game and even better, you don’t have to depend on anyone else to play! One of our all time favorites!
We really like the quick play. The map doesn’t allow for enough rapid selection. If we finish close to the end it freezes. So we rebought it again. It isn’t any better. It froze again. So we had to delete and lose all the scores You really NEED to fix the freezing. It’s frustrating!

We like this particular Mahjong game because there are many levels and tile choices. You can also choose quick games or a longer version as well as levels (easy, medium, hard and expert) so you can make the games as easy or difficult as you like.
Very fun and it is never boring.
We’ve been playing this game for quite a few years now. Never had issues with it, never got frustrated because their were too many ads or glitches with it. We like how they have come out with different choices of boards with some of the prettiest tiles we’ve seen in a long time. We also like how you can either go at your leisure without the pressure of clocks, but still pick a skill level you feel comfortable with or pick the skill level AND feel under pressure because your playing against time! We find it very very hard to stop playing whenever we pick our iPad up and say we’re just gonna play a few rounds. Those few rounds turn into like 10-15 rounds, it’s addicting!!! If your into Mahjong and looking for a new version, we can promise with the small fee charged, you will never be disappointed that you purchased this game!
Beautiful tiles with many picture choices. Several play options. Game works well and we have never experienced a freeze-up or glitch. Recommended!
Choose your own pace, theme, tiles. Very smooth. There are times when we simply cannot put it down. Highly recommend!
Generally we don’t like matching mahjong with power ups, etc. However, this is quickly addictive. The game is beautiful, challenging and somehow soothing all at the same time. The music isn’t irritating, either. Will definitely continue to enjoy. Highly recommended.
We have loved this game since it first came out for PC. We were delighted to see it for iPad. The new additions in this version are great, too. Glad they keep bringing out new variations!

This is the most fun, most intriguing Mahjong game we have ever experienced. Different tiles at higher levels, just so addicting. We could play for hours except our hands get tired and stiff. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! New tiles are great fun! We especially like the game with the clock tower.
