What Makes Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim – Free Stand Out

"It’s a great strategy game. I’d recommend this to RTS and RPG lovers alike." – AppAdvice
"One of the "5 winning games for tablets" – New York Times, July 2011

"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is a vast magical world where you are honored with the crown of a tiny fairytale kingdom. When you become the head of the country all the responsibility for the land's prosperity rests on your royal shoulders. You will have to fight various enemies and monsters, explore new territories, manage economic and scientific developments and solve a heap of unusual and unexpected tasks. For example, what will you do when all the gold in the kingdom transforms into cookies? Or how will you bring back the trolls who robbed caravans and whose disappearance ruins the economy of the country?

The core feature of "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is that you cannot control your citizens directly. There are a lot of heroes in your lands: valiant warriors and warlike barbarians, powerful wizards and grim necromancers, industrious dwarves and skilful elves plus many more. But all of them live their own lives and decide for themselves what to do at any moment. You are able to issue orders but heroes will follow your commands only for a sizeable reward.

"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" contains elements of role play: while fulfilling your orders, the heroes improve their skills and talents, as well as earn cash to be spent on new equipment, weapons, and magical elixirs.

"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" – the throne is waiting for its hero!

Game Features:

  • Legendary indirect control strategy totally adapted for iOS.
  • 10 types of heroes with dozens of statistics, weapons and armour.
  • A dozen types of monsters.
  • Several dozen spells.
  • 30 upgradeable building types.
  • 15 scenario missions+ a bonus one.
  • 3 difficulty levels.
  • About 100 game achievements.

Community Insight:

For anyone who loved the o.g. Pc version, this is a god send, for those who have never heard of majesty before, this is a solid game to keep your attention for longer than 5 minutes.

It's wonderful and the app is a very good Iron Age simulator to but the only problem is that it is very slow when we play the game.

Just purchased this game on GoG and found out there was a mobile version. Expecting an iAP laden no man's land full of energy meters, and gold costing real money we wasn't too sure about it. But it's a real game! Can you imagine?! A real game that you pay for once about building a kingdom. On the App Store no less! Incredible. We gladly paid our $3 and am having a ball with this. Nice to see at least some companies exercising restraint with their pricing scheme. Too many games (ahem, Dungeon Keeper) have been ruined by the unsustainable "gold ours" that the App Store has become.

Loved this game since the PC version. Took away the tournaments though.

This is essentially a demo. Only the first two mission are playable. Try it out if you're thinking about buying the full game.

We remember this game when we were a kid really fun.

But really needs a way to increase the text size.

It would be nice to have a way to speed up gameplay it's a little slow.

An absolute insult for a classic game.

We enjoy this game it is trepermental you can win if you make the money.

Very fun game we have the lite version and just beat lvl 2 dont really see any major drawbacks yet.

Just like we remember. Wish the northern expansion would work for ios 5.1.

Brings back memories from our childhood.

We think the controls could be more intuitive, but overall this game is fantastic. Hours and hours of fun.

Happy to find this game. Had the PC version. Still love it :).

We love the pc version and this is just as fun.

Missions are generally short and fun, though you can control the difficulty. RTS without the micromanaging.

Very entertaining! It's worth downloading.

Same as the PC title, it's the best.

First time playing, but seems like it could be fun.

Same feel as the original with an updated new look.

We enjoyed the pc version, this one is almost as good.

We used to play this game on mac os9, and we really love it.

We had a lot of fun you should play.

Reminds us of the first pc majesty game, extremely fun and worth the $2.99.

This was an instant favorite on our pc and now having it on our iPad mini is a huge relief, as we are an avid gamer. If your a hardcore gamer like us then you probably know that most of the game apps in the apple store are really lacking. But this game is the real deal! And no annoying in game money grubbing. This game gets 6/5.

This is a good free app. It's just like the pc game.

Just as good as the PC version! We are so happy this game is on iOS!!! We highly recommend.

Until you pass 1 level…..then it's $$$$$ time.

Good game! Much like the original.

Fun mix of RTS and minion-style games.

Not too bad. We enjoyed playing.

Not as good as the original game but still pretty good.

Good game… Would like better control over the individual characters. But over all pretty good.

Slow to start but over all a lot of fun.

Gameplay is on the dot, besides lacking a few building upgrades. Brings back some great memories. They even added pooling blood to the dead bodies! The different monsters are dulled down a bit but it's still a great game.

We've spent many hours with this game on our phone. Was excited to install it on our brand new ipad, however the graphics are just not scaled for it. The menu ends up far too small, and the graphics glitch in pretty little rainbow lines. Until this is fixed, we'll stick to the version on our phone.

We bought the full version of this game as well as the northern expansion. They were loads of fun and we really quite enjoyed them. However, our rating is so low because of the poor technical support from both HeroCraft and Apple. We had to reboot our phone, and after doing so, we had no problems re downloading the northern expansion and playing it but the original game still fails to recognize that we've already paid for it. We contacted HeroCraft first, who redirected us to Apple Support to fix the problem, who referred us back to HeroCraft… Kinda irritating that neither company is of any help. We don't know if it's more Apple's fault or HeroCraft but either way, we would be wary of buying the full version of this app if you are planning on switching phones anytime soon or anything like that. It really is a fantastic game though so it's definitely worth buying if you don't expect any phone changes or issues.

Ok this game is pretty good but the tutorial and interface is absolute garbage, we have played very advanced games for 40 years and the tutorial is one of the worst we've ever seen. It will say things like make a rally flag. But you have no idea where to find the rally flag, in the menu.

This game looks like it might be fun. We won't be finding out until the GUI for iPad gets fixed. Currently it's too small for our fat fingers. Really, it's actually way too small.

We were hoping to play this on our new iPad like we used to on our old iPad. But the resolution is too high. Everything is way too small. Please fix this.

We tried max army of 20 all level 13 backed with raise bones on all of them against that elfish Mage in the bottom corner it barely scratched him so we don't know what to do we have tried every approach to the elvish princess on pacifist we can't do it we have tried everything that fireball area of effect and multi hit kills everybody in one hit.

Game is sexist and homophobic. We don't play games to be told that strong women are Stubborn or Man-haters.

This is just… Bad. There's simply too many differences and lacking features for us to see this "port" as anything other than a disgrace and an insult to one of our favorite games. We'll stick to playing it on our laptop.

This game is not as good as the original. You should have done what they did with the bards tale when the put it up. As in do not change it, leave it the way people liked it. If its not broken don't fix it. Now we defiantly want to stick with the old one.

We really enjoy the game play, however it is critically faulted. Unfortunately, the game crashes every time we try to begin a certain mission (the eleven princess). We would give this game 5 stars if it were playable. Please fix it – don't be deadbeat developers! There are too many already.

Fun for few first levels, then unbeatable without in game purchases.

This was our favorite game back in the day, however we wish it was the full game. :P.

It is the best game we have on the iPod so fun.

Game is great and developer keeps adding new levels without the annoyance of requiring IAP. Love the game and recommend it to all.
