We dont love subscription based services however, this app has everything we need. As someone who builds and maintains multiple cubes, using other apps in the past has been frustrating. This seems to be by far the best of them. Some things Id love to see implemented: Cube cobra stats available for cards, EDHrec stats available for cards including their exceptionally useful synergy tags and ratings, if the data is available also knowing what formats each card is most popular in would be great. Otherwise awesome app good job.

It used to be free why must we pay for that now we cant stand the bright white bc it is blinding.

Doesnt do sleeved cards, cards in binders, full art cards, variant cards, green or black cards just in general. Whats the point.

This our favorite mtg related app. The card searching functionality is very well done and we prefer to use it over any other app or website. Having both a deck builder and a collection to save and organize cards is great.

This is so great Keeping our premodern and pauper decks up to date and easily modified is so awesome. The current value and cmc graphs are just a bonus.

No more repeat purchases (of singles we forgot we owned), now that we’ve digitally inventoried our collection on ManaBox! A must have for any MtG collector!

We have used this app and subscribed now for over a year. Ill start with our complaints. First, we wish the app had a web port. We love that this app is so easy to use and we can manage, creat decks and search cards anywhere with ease. We would like it if we could then take this to our computer when Im home. Our second complaint is we wish more tcgs and card apps were like this one. For someone who both collects and plays tcgs most other apps only let you get prices and see what cards do. ManaBox gives you all the tools to collect build decks look up cards and rulings, and even test your decks with a simple simulator. We just wish as someone who plays more than just magic that manabox expanded beyond just the one IP. We look forward to the continued development of this app in the future.

So we love the app and have used it for multiple reason. We scan over 8000 loose cards and 13 commander decks. We loved that we could build decks by looking at what we have loose and then pull the cards we chose. But we went from a android to a we phone and have lost everything. We cant retrieve any of the stuff we have done. We thought with paying for the pro we could.

Our collection should be available no matter what device we’re using, this is idiotic in 2023.

This app is very helpful for finding cards for and making magic the gathering decks. There is a wired bug/problem though and Im not sure if its the app that has a problem or what. But sometimes when we try to open it, it kicks us out after it loads up and its on the home menu. We hope this can be fixed if possible.

Organized our entire collection, down to individually numbered basic lands, without it ever feeling at all that meticulous – that scanner is no joke and we get to craft more decks now instead of constantly searching stacks of cardboard to confirm whats available. We do wish the app had a bit more onboarding and help with troubleshooting card count discrepancies, especially when first learning about all the lists, decks, tags, collections and such. After a tiny bit of learning, however, its the best MTG organizer we have ever used by miles.

It really is the best app. Would it be possible to add more options for the articles in the Home Screen.

Love how easy it is to log, catalog, and create decks!

Been using mana box for a month or so now and its possibly the best mtg app we’ve used yet. Only thing we would really like to see added are uploading decks though a list rather than having to add each card individually.

Love this app. Definitely worth it to get the full version if youre serious with your deck building. Its the best.

Besides how good it looks there is a ton of utility for the free version. They give you the Full access to the scanner for free which is really good it works better than tcg player. Very versatile labeling & very good decklist import options. Auto build from your collection too. Finally all the precons are listed in the explore section & easy to add to your collection. Then you can build your custom version using the "build from collection option"

This app is terrific. We’ve built 300+ decks and it performs! Highly recommend!

Please please please make the scan feature better. We have recording studio lighting and it still has a hard time recognizing what card Im trying to scan. Have to sit and fiddle around for 2 minutes just to get 1 card to scan.

We love this app! Its the best MTG deck building application available. Its interface with the entire library of magic cards is a wonderful resource to build new commander decks! And great support!

Great app for tracking decks and discovering cards.

The website is absolutely great!!! We use it everyday and appreciate that we can just use it to purchase the decks we’ve made. The one problem is that we made a white deck and we put in one card that can be paid for either white or green. ManaBox now thinks that its a white and green deck when its not at all a green deck. We cant find a setting anywhere to tell ManaBox that it isnt white and green and it has become just annoying to deal with.

Everything about this app is amazing, we have never a single issue with this app. We just wish we could have two deck images.

This app is an absolute breeze to use, the developers did an amazing job creating this. By far the best deck building app we’ve ever used. Super simple to get started and build decks, all of our close friends now use this app over all others. Our only complaint is that this is a phone only app, we havent been able to find it on desktop. Would really love to sit at our computer and build a deck but we will be a user for life no matter what!

Search function doesnt work when you add filter criteria. Almost a good app.

We spent an hour and a half building our starter deck on TopDecked, only to do the same thing on this app in about a minute. This app is a keeper.

Our friends an we have been using this app about 6 years an none of us have had a complaint! We use this an a website called edhrec for all our commander deck builds.

We dont write reviews but this is by far the best thing we’ve found! It just works.

We are not much of a collector or organizer but this app makes the process of scanning and tracking what cards and decks we have ridiculously easy. We found a couple of issues with scanning white boarded cards and new cards that hadnt been added to the database and we simply messaged the app devs on Twitter and things were resolved ASAP. Great app and great customer service!

A wizards best friend! There are so many tools in this app that make life so much easier as a magic player. Keeping track of deck lists without pulling out all your cards. Calculating the value of your collection. Instant stats for mana production, value and price if your deck! A trade calculator and so so much more!! We love this app. Get this app.

Straight up, a really decent app. We can have our decklist ready for when we go out to play but we can edit on the go without the need for a computer. By far this is our favorite MTG deck app. Theres so much good for it, we dont have many qualms except for a few minor things: 1. Being able to access sets that havent been released as the cards get leaked. A good example as of right now would be March of the Machines. Scryfall often has a list as cards come out, it would be nice to have the same here instead of having to wait for the full release to be able to edit with such cards. 2. The ability to change which set tokens come from. Its more of a cosmetic change but it would be nice to be able to select which tokens we use IRL. 3. Staying simple but effective. No seriously we love this and we recommend to everyone. Its simple, effective, and above ALL not invasive with Ads. Which we appreciate and makes us want to support the developer.

This app does it all. Try it. Do it. Its the perfect collection management app.

Overall pretty happy with the app. We get to build decks the way we want and see the decks stats before we spend the money to acquire the physical cards. Although our only complaint is our friend also has this app on a Samsung we think and they only have to pay $1.99 a month to unlock the entire app to play test without limit.

Add a way to sort by foil or etched?

Let us start by saying that we have yet to find a single real issue with this app in the two or so years we’ve had it and used it on a near daily basis. We’ve recently reached out regarding a small "issue" I’d come across that was woefully minute in its impact and really was used as more of an impetus to sing the devs’ praise than anything else. Every update has added useful, functional features, streamlined the ease of use and been well notated in its improvements. The "issue" I’d provided feedback was met with a very quick, professional, and informative response. We are thoroughly impressed with this app and the fact we’ve not once encountered anything resembling an actual problem in the time we’ve used it. In a world that throws everything away after it loses its luster, it’s rare to find anything that remains functional, useful, and enjoyable after 5 minutes, let alone years. We look forward to years more of continued use and cannot state emphatically enough how great this app is for what it does, so we’ll end with this: the state of Magic: the Gathering itself would be nowhere near as dire and uncertain as it is if Hasbro and WotC were as attentive to their product as the devs are to this app, they would do well to take notes.

Deep breath we are a Deckoholic. We feel much better! And this app really lets us go ham. We’ve waited a whole 1 1/2 years to make this review. Partly cause Im lazy but also because, we have been to busy making decks Like its just so easy. This being said its not all roses. Deckoholics like myself are almost forced to pay the monthly subscription. That being said. Its what? 1.99? To pay for something you really like that is getting steady updates. Seems worth it to us. Devs actually seem to care about their product. Its got a few minor bugs which might be IOS related.(it crashes once in a blue moon). Still saves your work so we really dont care. A reboot and your good to go. Soooooo yea download it. :)

We love the app in how it help us build future deck. Their one function thats annoys us slightly as you cant pick what art/foil version of the card for your commander. It selects default card and we rather want the alt or foil but sadly cant.

Why do we have to pay to remove adds why do we have to pay to make more then five collections or list why cant we delete our collections and make new collections if we need to.

There isnt an app like this out there that you can use to keep track of your collection AND look up any ruling you want AND build decks and test them all in one! Fantastic, a must-have for all Magic nerds.

So we recently got this app(3 weeks ago) and we tried adding our decks to our lists unfortunately every white boarder card either doesnt scan or ends up as something else entirely. We have tried a variety of backgrounds and lighting but nothing works for them. If this was fixed this would be a perfect app in our opinion.

Love it but wish when you saved cards it would create its own folder in your photos.

Needs work. Scanner is excellent. Best one available. Needs the total market value of collection.

This app is fantastic! And addictive, we went from 5 edh decks to around 40. It makes deck building super easy. Id like to see the maybe list sort by tags along with the deck. Thats all. Great app!

We used the other, more popular app but ManaBox is better. Way better.

First of all, why doesnt this app sync between devices, we downloaded it on our phone and iPad mini. We like using the iPad to sort everything then phone to reference it later or make tweaks. But cant seem to find how to do that. We want to move away from Moxfield because we hate using a web app, and want everything in a nice little app on our devices. Also!!! If Im going to be paying a monthly/yearly fee for an app, we expect it to cook us dinner too. Jk.

So we’ve just started catagorizing our collection for magic and was curious is there a max card limit per each folder because we dont wanna feel like we just wasted our time using ur app.

The app is the best on the app store for deck building. Its even better than most websites. Highly recommend for casual or serious mtg players. That being said, the scan feature shows an unexpected error message whenever you click on it. It would be amazing if we could use this to track our cards.

We have been using this app for a long time trying to organize our plethora of Magic cards. The scanning application that was recently added is a GAME CHANGER when trying to add the new cards to our binders. The only problems we have is the camera does not focus properly. It will scan the cards names correctly, but because it does not focus, it wont catch which collection they will go to. We recently bought Brothers War, and it was giving us prices for Capenna and Commanders etc. If this could be fixed, that would make it nearly PERFECT.

This app is amazing, and it helps us keep track of our card collection and its price. We can store our decklists here as well as our card collection. This app is super underrated.

This is a great app for deck brewing and building, and we only have one complaint: when filtering cards, the Oracle text field only searches your input sequentially, meaning it searches for the EXACT string of text you entered. It does not show results that have those words in it, but in a different order. This is a NECESSITY when trying to find cards that fit a certain theme. Say we want to find creatures that have a combat damage triggered ability. The way the Oracle text field currently works, we cant, because the text on all those cards would be whenever [creature card name] deals combat damage, such and such happens. We need to be able to type in whenever deals combat damage or whenever combat damage and the search needs to be able to find those words in the Oracle text in any order, not just the same order we typed them into the field. This single drawback is why we still do most of our final builds on tappedout instead of this app, which otherwise we like better than tappedout. Please consider adding this feature in a future update.
