ManaBox is an unofficial companion tool for Magic: The Gathering (MTG) players. With ManaBox you can search through all cards and sets without exception for FREE. ManaBox allows you to access up to date market data from different stores and marketplaces so you always know the value of your cards or look at the prices of the cards you would like to get.

We love this app. Great for tracking all of our cards. It shows you the values and adjust them as time goes along to reflect the current prices. Super convenient to have a searchable index with photos as well as details.
Magic the gathering is a huge hobby of ours and we honestly wouldnt be able to enjoy it without this app. We use this app for all our deck brewing, keeping up with our 5000+ collection, looking up official rulings on cards and anything we can ever need. It is frequently updated and improved on in ways we didnt even think could use improving. The subscription is well worth the money to have this service for the year.
We wish there was a cloud kind of thing on here. We are sorting through all of a friends cards and using his account to do so. Well issue is we logged into it on our phone and none of the decks or collections are there. Thats a little frustrating due to the fact we have spent nearly 3 years doing it on his phone on his account and now nothing is there on our phone on his account.
We use this as our primary deck building app, the deck analytics and pricing are great. However its frustrating because changes do not auto update between devices. We use our iPhone while at tournaments or while play testing with friends and our iPad while at home. And it seems the only way to import changes from one app to the other is by restoring backups. Maybe Im doing it wrong and there is a simple auto update feature but we cant find it. If that problem were solved this would be our sole magic companion app. It has everything we need with none of the fluff.
We dont love subscription based services however, this app has everything we need. As someone who builds and maintains multiple cubes, using other apps in the past has been frustrating. This seems to be by far the best of them. Some things Id love to see implemented: Cube cobra stats available for cards, EDHrec stats available for cards including their exceptionally useful synergy tags and ratings, if the data is available also knowing what formats each card is most popular in would be great. Otherwise awesome app good job.
It used to be free why must we pay for that now we cant stand the bright white bc it is blinding.
Doesnt do sleeved cards, cards in binders, full art cards, variant cards, green or black cards just in general. Whats the point.
This our favorite mtg related app. The card searching functionality is very well done and we prefer to use it over any other app or website. Having both a deck builder and a collection to save and organize cards is great.
This is so great Keeping our premodern and pauper decks up to date and easily modified is so awesome. The current value and cmc graphs are just a bonus.
No more repeat purchases (of singles we forgot we owned), now that Ive digitally inventoried our collection on ManaBox! A must have for any MtG collector.
We have used this app and subscribed now for over a year. Ill start with our complaints. First, we wish the app had a web port. We love that this app is so easy to use and we can manage, creat decks and search cards anywhere with ease. We would like it if we could then take this to our computer when Im home. Our second complaint is we wish more tcgs and card apps were like this one. For someone who both collects and plays tcgs most other apps only let you get prices and see what cards do. ManaBox gives you all the tools to collect build decks look up cards and rulings, and even test your decks with a simple simulator. We just wish as someone who plays more than just magic that manabox expanded beyond just the one IP. We look forward to the continued development of this app in the future.
So we love the app and have used it for multiple reason. We scan over 8000 loose cards and 13 commander decks. We loved that we could build decks by looking at what we have loose and then pull the cards we chose. But we went from a android to a we phone and have lost everything. We cant retrieve any of the stuff we have done. We thought with paying for the pro we could.
Our collection should be available no matter what device we're using, this is idiotic in 2023.
Organized our entire collection, down to individually numbered basic lands, without it ever feeling at all that meticulous – that scanner is no joke and we get to craft more decks now instead of constantly searching stacks of cardboard to confirm whats available. We do wish the app had a bit more onboarding and help with troubleshooting card count discrepancies, especially when first learning about all the lists, decks, tags, collections and such. After a tiny bit of learning, however, its the best MTG organizer we have ever used by miles.
This app is very helpful for finding cards for and making magic the gathering decks. There is a wired bug/problem though and Im not sure if its the app that has a problem or what. But sometimes when we try to open it, it kicks us out after it loads up and its on the home menu. We hope this can be fixed if possible.
It really is the best app. Would it be possible to add more options for the articles in the Home Screen.
Love how easy it is to log, catalog, and create decks.
Besides how good it looks there is a ton of utility for the free version. They give you the Full access to the scanner for free which is really good it works better than tcg player. Very versatile labeling & very good decklist import options. Auto build from your collection too. Finally all the precons are listed in the explore section & easy to add to your collection. Then you can build your custom version using the "build from collection option".
Been using mana box for a month or so now and its possibly the best mtg app Ive used yet. Only thing we would really like to see added are uploading decks though a list rather than having to add each card individually.
Love this app. Definitely worth it to get the full version if youre serious with your deck building. Its the best.
Great app for tracking decks and discovering cards.
Please please please make the scan feature better. We have recording studio lighting and it still has a hard time recognizing what card Im trying to scan. Have to sit and fiddle around for 2 minutes just to get 1 card to scan.
This app is terrific. Ive built 300+ decks and it performs! Highly recommend.
We love this app! Its the best MTG deck building application available. Its interface with the entire library of magic cards is a wonderful resource to build new commander decks! And great support.
The website is absolutely great!!! We use it everyday and appreciate that we can just use it to purchase the decks Ive made. The one problem is that we made a white deck and we put in one card that can be paid for either white or green. ManaBox now thinks that its a white and green deck when its not at all a green deck. We cant find a setting anywhere to tell ManaBox that it isnt white and green and it has become just annoying to deal with.
This app is an absolute breeze to use, the developers did an amazing job creating this. By far the best deck building app Ive ever used. Super simple to get started and build decks, all of our close friends now use this app over all others. Our only complaint is that this is a phone only app, we havent been able to find it on desktop. Would really love to sit at our computer and build a deck but we will be a user for life no matter what.
Everything about this app is amazing, we have never a single issue with this app. We just wish we could have two deck images.
Search function doesnt work when you add filter criteria. Almost a good app.
We spent an hour and a half building our starter deck on TopDecked, only to do the same thing on this app in about a minute. This app is a keeper.

A wizards best friend! There are so many tools in this app that make life so much easier as a magic player. Keeping track of deck lists without pulling out all your cards. Calculating the value of your collection. Instant stats for mana production, value and price if your deck! A trade calculator and so so much more!! We love this app. Get this app.
We are not much of a collector or organizer but this app makes the process of scanning and tracking what cards and decks we have ridiculously easy. We found a couple of issues with scanning white boarded cards and new cards that hadnt been added to the database and we simply messaged the app devs on Twitter and things were resolved ASAP. Great app and great customer service.
Straight up, a really decent app. We can have our decklist ready for when we go out to play but we can edit on the go without the need for a computer. By far this is our favorite MTG deck app. Theres so much good for it, we dont have many qualms except for a few minor things: 1. Being able to access sets that havent been released as the cards get leaked. A good example as of right now would be March of the Machines. Scryfall often has a list as cards come out, it would be nice to have the same here instead of having to wait for the full release to be able to edit with such cards. 2. The ability to change which set tokens come from. Its more of a cosmetic change but it would be nice to be able to select which tokens we use IRL. 3. Staying simple but effective. No seriously we love this and we recommend to everyone. Its simple, effective, and above ALL not invasive with Ads. Which we appreciate and makes us want to support the developer.
Overall pretty happy with the app. We get to build decks the way we want and see the decks stats before we spend the money to acquire the physical cards. Although our only complaint is our friend also has this app on a Samsung we think and they only have to pay $1.99 a month to unlock the entire app to play test without limit.
This a good app, maybe the best, yet it still has a long way to go. Pros: 1. Scanning is easy with printer paper and the right lighting. 2. Keeping track of all our cards is easy binders. 3. Tagging cards in decks. Cons: 1. Please FTLOG let us set more defaults for everything. Im tired of having to manually set to use specified cards and basic lands. 2. Hide the collector and filter buttons while viewing cards. 3. Add a compact view for viewing cards in col. 4. Hide prices in deck view. The lack of these features isnt critical but annoy us to no end. TL;DR: Good app for scanning and maintaining. Lacks some features to be unmatched. 4.7/5.
We love everything about this app in exception for two things. One is the Scan feature doesnt default to displaying the card you scanned with the Set its from. The other is a lack of a history feature. Id like to see a list of changes we make to decks. If those were taken care of, even on the paid version of the app, Id buy it.
We downloaded the app after seeing numerous positive reviews and after scanning about 270 cards, the app stopped scanning. Can someone help us.

This App is really good. We gave it 4 stars only for two reasons; 1. The App takes awhile to learn how to use all the features. They are great, but not easy to use at first. Its not the most user friendly or clean but we got used to it. 2. We wish there was a PC (desktop) app that was a part of it. Its really nice and easy to manage, research and edit decks from a computer. Keep up the good work! We will gladly keep subscribing as long as its still updated.
We love this app. The only thing we wish it had was the searchable community tags of EDHREC or Scyfall. The , it would be flawless.
Was a awesome app to run on our older phone that we could keep fixed. Sadly more and more unoptimized bloat keeps getting added and degrading QOL unless you use the latest and greatest phone. Id rather just buy a scanner then upgrade the phone at this point making the app moot in our workflow. To the devs, consider the env you test in, dont just test on the latest hardware and assume you have working code.
The database, the deck building, the notes you can add for strategy for each deck, the binders for all of your cards. Its all amazing. The one issue we have is the inconsistency with the camera scan when it comes to shadow. If we are scanning cards by a light, it there is any cast shadow it doesnt work which is slightly annoying but not app breaking or anything. One suggestion is to add Alchemy to the formats. Its an Arena only format but alchemy can be really fun and we would like to build decks here using it to see whats legal or not.
We love this app. By far the best mtg app. Love it so much. Organized all our stuff for us. But we really do hate that they have a subscription. Just seems like an unnecessary thing in a perfect app. They really dont need it. We dont want to pay for another subscription so if yall could just get rid of it that would be cool. Although Ill say that their subscription isnt annoyingly advertised. Is a fair price. And isnt too needed so dont hate too much on it. Although it still seems unnecessary. Without the subscription there isnt a better app. Thats why we would get rid of it. Although maybe make buying cards easier. Sorry Im rambling. Ultimately 9.75/10. Love it.
Extremely useful for tracking a large quantity of cards and searching for new cards to help plan and build decks. The scanning feature has made it easy to sort through and add new cards as our collection grows being able to do in minutes what took hours before.
We use this app to track our full collection, including cards we intend to sell to vendors. If it showed the list price AND the Buy List value for one or more major stores that would be awesome for prepping for large events.
We use this to build our decks and also to look up cards and their legality. It's honestly a blessing it is a free app we always recommend it even for new players.
This app basically does everything we want it to. Namely, it has a detailed search function so we can find and filter for whatever ridiculous types of cards we're looking for to complete our next ridiculous deck. If you hate Gatherer's advanced search or miss the old Decked Builder app, ManaBox is for you.
ManaBox is a fantastic way to keep track of your MTG cards while also giving you an easy way to search for cards either by keyword, mana value, color, or even set. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to sort the Secret Lairs since its a bit difficult to sort through when looking for a specific set without the vast knowledge of SLD. 10/10 have recommended to all our fellow planeswalkers.
