Mastermine is a 3D, Minesweeper inspired puzzle game – solve complex boards over a 3D cube.

We would like more tutorial. Im honestly very confused how to play. Still fun though.
If you hate yourself, try to play this whilst drinking. Seriously though, we upgraded to Pro because these creators have made a darn good, addictive AF game. Im afraid to join the Discord out of fear we will fall down the rabbit hole and start playing it in 4D in our dreams like the chess girl in the Queens Gambit. The game is such a simple concept, but its a complete improvement over the original. Only suggested update: button to toggle between flag and reveal bc we keep fat fingering those flags. Wahboooommmmm. (Except dont do this because we like being able to blame the sensitive controls when we fail again and again. Wahbooooooommm. ) Also, Time Crisis mode is impossible, and Im pretty sure anyone who can do it has robot fingers (or theyre playing on PC/Mac).
We were surprised to see that someone made a game like this. It was something we didnt know we needed. Bringing the classic game into a 3D space adds a very interesting challenge to it. And this game translates it perfectly over. Seriously, props to the developer for nailing this. Everything down to the design of the blocks to the functionality of the game is great. Theres no lag, it runs smoothly and is a very responsive even with touch controls. Now, to the business side of things. We greatly appreciate ads not being in this game. Theyd destroy the near therapeutic nature of it. We are willing to pay for the £1.99 price tag to access the PRO features of the game. But we also feel the game is enjoyable if one doesnt pay for this. And what one gets upon paying to us it worth this amount, especially due to how well the game runs and plays. And the fact that there is a dedicated discord server to hang out with with other players is amazing. Our only complaint is that at times we’ve accidentally lost a game thanks to our finger lingering on a block while we moving it around. This is something we feel will stop happening through continued play, and in the settings you can change how long before your hold activates a block. Seriously. Download this game. And please, support the creator by shelling out for the pro version, they deserve every penny.
We really love this game. The idea of a 3-D minesweeper really intrigue us and we were not disappointed. The only problem we have is there is way to much pay only content. You have to pay to do anything above 8×8 and you have to pay to access challenges. Its kind of stupid that you have to pay to really enjoy the game more. Although if you like minesweepers and your looking for a fun game we would totally recommend this one. You just have to pay to do more stuff (it gets boring after a while of doing the same stuff. The only other thing we didnt like was the way you place flags. You tap to place flags and hold to uncover something. In the original minesweeper it was opposite and that was so much better. They should include an option to change that.
Please let us change controls to two option tapping.
We will try to check back in the future to see if an update has been released to fix the controls. At this point theres no point playing anymore really. Three times in a row we were almost finished with a puzzle and tried to rotate the cube and instead it registered that we wanted to reveal a space and triggered a bomb. Game over.
Great game, we purchased the pro… But too often when we hold to flag it sometimes reveals the ours. Too many games lost because of this. With a mouse right/left click is intuitive but the quick push/hold push doesnt always work as intended. Can we please have the option to add a button to switch from flag/reveal?
Three tries in a row game ignores a bomb found adjacent to a 1 on one side of cube and then tells us we hit a bomb adjacent to it on the next side. Thought bomb locations were 3D and wrapped corners of the cube.
This game is so cool, its very chill and fun. Theres no ads, which is also nice. We never even played regular minesweeper before but we love this game ! Great job.
We think this is a great game and we love playing it, the thing is that we keep having issues like when a number 1 cube would be touching 2 mines and we would lose our progress, it would be great if the dev could patch that up.
We really love the concept of this, but so far we have been plagued with buggy touch controls that will often press on a space we did not mean to be pressing and it will reveal a ours and a map that we were being very careful on will suddenly be over and it feels really crappy because we feel like we didnt make a mistake, the game just chose to click when we just wanted to turn. We’ve tried changing the way we rotate the cube multiple times, even by not touching the cube at all, but this issue of it clicking spaces keeps coming up. And speaking of the camera, please add more options for panning around the cube. Some of the angles that we have to work with on the higher level cubes are just terrible and make it really hard to accurately see where your pressing, and again it feels really bad to lose a game because the game clicked somewhere we were trying to go.
Great design and its a good balance of challenging and fun. Only suggestion is to make it so the numbers are always oriented in the up direction so its easier to see them when looking at multiple faces of the cube.
This game is super fun and can be as easy or as challenging as you want it to be! We cant wait for more new skins and other fun things!! Definitely a must have game for minesweeper lovers!!
The app is great but the lightning sound cant be lowered or turned off. Its way to loud, making the game unplayable.
The Campaign mode seems to have two sets of mine-cubes for each size of cube if you start from the same location. This might lead to people abusing that for fast times if they know where enough mines are. Also, Time Attack gives you time based on how many squares you uncover, even when you start. This leads to stressful 8s starts when you randomly uncover only 9 squares. Issues aside, this is a great way to pass time and Im really enjoying this take on minesweeper.
We enjoyed it so much that we purchased the pro update. Now Its near impossible to play because the jarring colors and effects.
We’ve turned to volume settings on the app all the way down and theres still thunder sounds.
Annoying event skin with lightening effect (screen flashes) gives us a headache and doesnt seem to be possible to be disabled. We just bought this a week or so ago and now regretting paying for it.
The stupid storm sound effects cant be controlled through settings. It makes the game unplayable.
We read reviews and see the developer is responsive to suggestions. There are no ads. The game is challenging, and has some chill music. What else could we ask for? This developer made exactly what we want in a game. We upgraded to pro just to pay our gratitude. We will likely pay again, just because.
We havent find a good game until find this one. And important notice: please play with earphones, the game has amazing musics.
This game is pretty great, its a fun twist on a classic game, do be aware that versions of a few services do require a fee. Also we just got an impossible puzzle in the Time Crisis section. We took a screenshot, but we are unable to share it on this review.
We’ve had several times where the numbers were wrong causing a bomb to go off, when it shouldnt have had a bomb near. Also inconsistencies with edge numbers counting bombs that are on other faces, but then in the same puzzle same situation, the other faces dont count.
Really well done and put together. Cant get off of it!

We’ve been playing Minesweeper for a while, but we got bored of the initial Minesweeper game. This is a pretty cool twist and we enjoyed playing it. Plus its free and has no ads! Give it a try, youll be hooked. Edit: the power ups also add uniqueness to the game.
We saw this game for promo Saturdays on r/apple on Reddit, and we gotta say Im really impressed! Its a super well made game, and Im shocked that this is free with no ads. Were blessed to have devs like this. Devs that really care about the game and players, and not making a quick buck. 6/5 stars!
We loved minesweeper growing up. This puts a fun new twist on it. You clearly took your time and made it feel polished. Great work, thanks for the game.
Zero ads and a reasonable price for the pro upgrade. Only suggestion would be to allow for automatic clearing of the grid – so when you long press on a number box with enough flags, it clears the un-flagged and unknown boxes.
The game is super fun but still has some bugs that need to be fixed otherwise A+++. (Bugs: sometimes tapping to place flag does nothing and trying to view the leaderboard never loads, just says loading forever)
The game is fantastic! The controls are frustratingly awful. Tapping on the same cube 2 dozen times to mark it does nothing and then you pass and hold which is the other control for revealing it instead of flagging it. 90% of our lost games have come from the game not recognizing our tap on a cube. Otherwise a great game.

Mediocre execution of a cool idea. Buggy as all get out. Time crisis clock starts at random time intervals ranging from 6 seconds to 45 seconds. Fun to pass the time, but needs improvement.
The game is great fun to play. Which makes the fact that 85% of it is locked behind a paywall even more angering. We understand that the developers need people to pay. But, just personal experience here, we tend to pay for games that dont feel hostile to us. This game constantly reminds you that youve only been allowed to play it out of the developers immense generosity, and if you want anything more than a demo, youll have to fork it over. 5 stars for game quality, -2 stars for aggressive paywall.
This game is great! Theres one problem with the design: we always lose right near the end because we accidentally press and hold (reveal a cube) when we meant to tap (flag a mine). If we press and Im uncertain of our decision, we will hesitate. A better design would be to either make the flag feature a tap and hold (to prevent accidental reveals from hesitation), and the reveal a single tap, or better yet make a dedicated button for flagging on the HUD. This would ensure we do not make any annoying mistakes. Otherwise, great idea, great game!
When we first saw this game we were skeptical of it being any better than a regular minesweeper game but after playing it we realized we were very wrong. The game plays and functions great, theres unlimited sizes and competitive leaderboards, but the thing thats best about this app is the very active discord group where you can nerd out about minesweeper with many other players. If you like minesweeper at least give this game a try, its well worth it.
We loved the music before the Christmas update. However, now that we found a song in the game we dont like. It made us think. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
