Community Insight:
Jk love this game so good soooopooooo addicting.
Because the graphics and gameplay are amazing, there are multiple types of challenges, and you dont have to spend real money to enjoy it and succeed at it. Now Ive accomplished everything we can and am just doing daily challenges and the never-ending challenges mode, and Im getting bored. PLEASE add new levels.
Great waste of time addictive. Great graphics. Super fun.
Extremely challenging…melds space invades with classic brick breaker! And the 3D makes the visual aspect refreshing Highly recommended.
Better then expected, flip your phone on its side.
We absolutely love everything new that was added.
Because we like it because it has balls that can like hit boxes Im like thats kind of amazing you you made an amazing game.
In 1982 we had a handheld game by Activision called Blockbuster. Pixels were few, game was still great. If we still had it today Id still play it. Im not ashamed to admit it. We played it all day and all night until our baby bro broke it at which point we went thru severe withdrawals. We never got another. 40 years later here we are playing this game and absolutely amazed at how the very same game has us right back to being addicted although obviously much improved. Truly impressive graphics and gameplay for such a simple concept that has been around since Pong. A+.
We HAVENT EVEN STARTED PLAYING THIS GAME YET AND THE THUMBNAIL AND SLIDES OF IT ALREADY LOOK COOL. DEFINITELY 5 STARS.
Played and beaten almost every level. Took the time to really get into it before review. And all we really gotta say is, add more power ups and make more levels! Everything is fluid. No lag, stuttering, or visual bugs. We are honestly impressed that an old school game like this got a reboot. Keep up the great work.
Been playing breakout forever the best version so far.
Hi, Is there gonna be a MB part 2 ?? Cause we completed all the level.
This is a classic game with a new and fun twist. Very addictive! Great game.
This game would be way better and 5 stars to the point of we feel like we could keep going for hours if there wasnt the constant ads after 1 or 2 games.
Love the game but you must fix it! Auto paddle always ruin game.
We liked the game design and flexibility but having ads after each level whether we loose or win, is too much for us to test our patience.
Glitches on the game broke our iPhone.
We preordered this game accidentally thinking it was something else a friend had mentioned. Once it downloaded we saw the brick breaker style gameplay and thought..Awesome! Once we played it we saw the double coin system and all that and was like we cant deal with another one of these. Then we noticed 5.99 to unlock it all. Best 5.99 Ive ever spent, Amazing game, Creative, Nice graphics, Great control. More than a fair price. Thanks guys! Keep em coming.
Half of our challenge streaks were ruined because we hit an ad that cant be dismissed. Otherwise a great new take on a classic game type.
Overall this is the best brick breaker Ive played in a while, and the best one Ive played on mobile. We do have a few complaints, but theyre overshadowed by many other factors. If they were to add level packs or something, Id probably pay money to have more of this game. Im not going to put the effort into being super organized, but Ill loosely organize our thoughts into pros and cons Pros The game looks nice. It has a simple neon style that works well for it. If they add more to the game we would like to see some different worlds with different styles Theres a decent variety in the levels given that the game is new. Most levels contain some animated portion, and many are somehow connected to your paddle (for example, a circle of bricks which rotates based on the position of the paddle). It only has one shape of brick, a cube, but these come in normal, sturdy, unbreakable, and explosive varieties as well as different colors. Adding more types of blocks and perhaps different shapes would be a good addition later on Building on that variety but warranting an additional point: there are boss fights. Each of the four zones ends with a level where the blocks actually have some sort of an AI. One of them pushes the ball back at you with its invulnerable face to protect its breakable back, another shoots waves of projectiles you have to avoid while trying to tear it apart. Its pretty interesting to see these in a brick breaker game, and aside from the last one being a bit too difficult we think theyre well implemented You earn stars on the campaign levels in order to progress, but its one star for time, one for picking up buffs, and one for picking up score drops so you dont have to get them all in one go You can unlock new balls, paddles, and buffs with points earned through gameplay (get the splitting ball and electric paddle if you want to be OP). The game is generous enough with these points that we dont feel like Im grinding for them, just picking them up as we enjoy the game. You can also upgrade the paddles and buffs to increase their width, the magnitude of their effects, their duration, etc The game uses some actual physics where you move your paddle around within a region and can actually smack in into the ball to direct its trajectory. The paddle is flat so if the ball hits toward one side but youre not moving it will simply deflect at the angle of impact Its a small thing but you can play the game fine in portrait or landscape mode You can watch thirty seconds ads to multiply your points by 2, 3, or 5x (randomly rolled after each level), and otherwise ads are limited to five seconds and dont occur after every level You use energy to play levels, but its not too bad. A level costs one to four energy to play and you can store 30 at a time (we think you can watch ads to instantly replenish it, but we never bothered) After some point in the campaign you can do a challenge mode where you simply play random non-boss levels in sequence for an entry fee of 5 energy. We kind of wish you could earn missed stars this way, but its a good way of extending the playtime of the game indefinitely, especially if they add more levels Cons Oddly enough some of the buffs can work against you. Theres a laser beam and spray buff that both slow down your paddle to the point that its easy to miss the ball. The gravity buff can cause the ball to swing around behind you, and it also pulls in debuffs that can mess you up. Auto paddle is fittingly listes as a neutral buff (neither good nor bad) because it ignores the point drops and buffs, and it also takes full control away from you while active and is slow enough that Ive died from it we wish there were some way to adjust which buffs are available. We feel like if we were to upgrade the duration of the spray or gravity, that would actually permanently put us in a worse position. Also its easy to lose a ball at the end of the portal buff, so we think it should have maybe half a second of shield at the end of its duration. These problems with the buffs are our biggest complaint we play the game in portrait mode and some levels have the lower edge cut off so we cant actually get the paddle all the way to one side. This has caused a few deaths, especially if the ball is going straight down as in our next point If the ball is going perpendicular you the paddle and toward the side of the stage, it can be hard to get it out. Moving the paddle toward the edge may not leave you room to change the balls angle, but moving the paddle inward may make you just move it out of the balls path and lead to a death. We think if the ball is too close to an edge of the map some slightly different physics should be used, or maybe just put a small angle on the back corners of the map.
Smooth and exciting gameplay, incredibly fun, beautifully designed, and a simple concept. The levels are intriguing to look at and play. We love the futuristic theme and fluidity of Micro Breaker. The game colors are vibrant, and the levels designs are challenging. This game is so great; it makes our top 25 list of best iPhone games. We want to play Micro Breaker every chance we get! The designer/creator is extremely friendly and was great at answering our questions via email. We really appreciated the timeliness of their responses. We are happy to support this game, and hopefully more games like this one. Please keep the new levels coming. Get this game. You wont be disappointed.
Without any "But" This is the only game in our phone atm.
Micro breaker is an impressive and polished entry in the brick breaker genre. The visuals are stunning, the controls are precise, the physics feels real, and the game progression seems fair. The creativity of power-ups, level design (and activity), and layout/interface is what helps set Micro Breaker from the rest. The developer shows added positive consideration to screen real estate, element sizing, and user experience (generation laser power-ups to finish off stake-mate moments, lucky-saves, and optional extra revival tokens via ad views). The developers recent and prompt responses to issues with ad-based rewards is a reassuring sign of the developers pride and investment in their work. The only other glitch Ive experienced (which may have been fixed by recent updates) is occurrences where a brick fails remains suspended in air and fails to land on the field, making it impossible to destroy even with the laser. Ideas for improvement would be a few more additional brick-types and some mechanism to clear boss stages when stale-mate instances arise (no laser generation for these stages). Excellent game and strong contender for the BEST in the genre.
So we started the game and noticed one thing wrong. The calibration for where we touch is off and we cant fix it.
So many ads. After every level almost you have to wait through a 30 second ad.
The biggest setback they had was that we couldn't listen to our own music. We like the music in the game, but we want to listen to ours sometimes, and it flat out wouldn't let us. We have a Playlist specifically for neon games like this that we made back when we were playing Neon Rider all the time. We mentioned this on our review and they fixed it only days later. Great game, and a great dev. Thank you.
Great game Ive always loved brick brick, but we dont get our rewards from the ads and its irritating to sit through ads but even more that we dont get anything out of it when it says Im supposed to. Love the game though.
We do enjoy this game and think the difficulty curve is right and the visuals are really nice with interesting level design but theres problems that leave us irritated and somewhat frustrated. The ball is very hard to see sometimes because it blends into the background even when its not hit by the micro effect. Why wouldnt someone include a timer if theres a time limit? Im try to three star a lot of the levels but need to be in certain time limits. How can we get it in the time if we cant see how much time has passed? Please include a timer. Why cant we see the requirements to get the stars without having to finish the level? In order to see what one needs to do to get a star in the level you cant click on any level info to see but need to actually finish the level and can only see it then. You have to finish a level every single time you just want to read the star requirements. Its very tedious but we cant just look. And you still have to do this even if its a level you have at least a star in. We hope the developers make some changes because in our opinion this could be a 3/5 or 4/5 game but these little things just start to irritate you to the point you dont want to play anymore.
We recommend this game for people who are looking for a slight challenge and just plain old fun.
Best game in this genre, absolutely top #1.
Love the retro feel, sometimes its hard to see the ball but its been great so far . This is definitely gonna be a keeper. Im a big fan of block breaker games. Thanks for a great game ,.
We really enjoy this. Super cool. You can switch your phone around and get different views as well. This reminds us of the very old game of Woody Pop for the game gear, but obviously upgraded and way more features.
Hi, we got your game so we could play on watch too. It wont work on watch Ive tried everything we could think of and nothing works? Thanks.
As a fan of brick breaker games we were looking forward to this but am left disappointed. The controls feel very slow and sluggish for a brick breaker, and the paddle seems to lag the slightest bit after your finger, which makes a difference in a game like this. Also the ball is very tiny and hard to see at times. The paddle sits too close to your finger and your thumb covers parts of the screen you need to see when you move the paddle towards the thumbs side. Some games like this pause automatically when you lift your finger off the paddle, but not this one, and the pause button is very small and unresponsive. Ive only gotten to the fourth level (because it says we need 3 stars when we have 4…), but the level design doesnt seem great and the powerups are uninspired. Combined with the intrusive advertisements and such, Ill pass on this and stick to better brick breakers.
The app literally crashes when we try to open it. That is all.
Waste of time too many ads one after another complete waste.
On the iPhone max pro the calibration is off. You cant press some buttons or the settings at all. Please fix.
A FANTASTIC CLASSIC BRICK SMASHER GAME WITH SLICK MODERN GRAPHICS. ITS WICKED FUN WITH AN ARRAY OF COOL, UNIQUE POWER-UPS. THE 3D GAMEPLAY & REALISTIC PHYSICS SHOWCASE MOBILE GAMING WHILE PAYING HOMAGE TO ITS INFLUENCES.
We wanted a easy fast pace game but we did not get it it was lagging all the time and ads every where when we start a LV when we finish and Evan when we try to go to our home screen we can get an ad.
Privacy policy acceptance button not working.
We love the game, especially on our Vision Pro. We just wish it was 60 frames per second. Making it really big on the Vision Pro, you can really notice the low frame rate.
This game is so fun for us and cool that we have so many blocks.
We started playing the first three levels of Micro Breaker, this is really an awesome game.
Ive been playing it for only a day now and we absolutely love it, but there is one minor problem that we have came across. This game has great gameplay and gives an amazing 3-D style to an old 2-D game. The problem is that there are just too many ads in this game. After a few level attempts or so there will be an ad, and that may be fine at first after a while it just gets kind of annoying. Im not saying to remove ads entirely because that would just be stupid, but we are asking if theres a way you could reduce them.
But if only this was on console.
This game is awesome and great when you are bored good graphics and smooth animation it does have some ads but great tho.
What a phenomenal game this is. Im so glad we found it years ago and am still playing it without being sick of playing it every day. The game has 2 choices to play. From level A, to B , C & D. Each level has approx. 30 games to beat to reach the next level. The last game of each level is the toughest to beat. But we like challenges. OR you have the option to also play the daily challenge. The developer makes a different one every day. The multiple array of neon colors are beautiful and if you have enough points you can choose the ball of your liking. If you cant see the ball well, you have the option to get a bright neon colored ball. You can also buy weapons to use in the daily challenges such as more balls, or to make the paddle wider, or to use a laser. But you never know when the weapons will appear during the course of the game. We have to say we wish there wasnt an Ad after playing 2 games. But this game has the shortest of Ads Ive ever come across which makes it tolerable for us. We only say this because it interrupts the game flow Im in. We also wish the developer would make more levels for folks like us who play this game on a daily basis. Im not complaining, because we still enjoy playing the same levels over without being bored of it. It keeps you quick and alert! We hope the developer comes up with some other games that are just as unique as this one. There arent many games we find like this one to keep us coming back for more. Its not just a childs game either. We give this game a 20 star rating. Thats how good it is. Made with uniqueness and artistic graphics.
We stumbled across this during one of our fabled game searches and the concept of a brick breaker game with physics intrigued us, and we have to say, the way that they implemented the physics is absolutely marvelous. The fragment system counting towards how many stars you get on a level is also a good idea, it adds to the challenge.
We beat the game about 6 months ago. We had a great time with it. It was really fun to play. Very addicting . We hope they make a Micro Breaker 2 in the near future.
This game is incredibly well made and is so much fun to play. The visuals are great, and the gameplay feels amazing. Highly recommend.
