Minesweeper Classic is the old game of Minesweeper redesigned for your modern touch-based iPhone and iPad. This version of Minesweeper is visually appealing with quick and intuitive gameplay.
Minesweeper features all the original rules of Minesweeper such as a safe first tap, flags/question marks, original difficulty levels, and proper mechanics.
There's also advanced features such as hints, Smart Undo, and Luck (no more 50:50 guesses!)

- Luck
If you must guess (as in, there's mathematically no better move to make) and you guess a square that has the least probability to be a mine, then the square won't be a mine.
This means no more losing if you end the game with a 50:50 guess!
(For nerds: think of the game as a superposition of all possible mine states, slowly collapsing as you reveal more of the board, as long as you are making the best moves possible you won't lose!)

Hints
Press the hint button if you are stuck. -
Smart Undo
If you lose the game, press the undo button to undo your last move. Incorrectly flagged spots will remain red. Spots that are flagged that don't have enough information to be flags will turn to question marks. The remaining mines will be shuffled to keep the game interesting. -
3D Touch and Customizable Controls
Use 3D Touch (if supported by your device) to flag mines.
Configure sensitivity and toggle between 3D Touch and Long Press to toggle flags. -

— Minesweeper Instructions —
The goal of Minesweeper is to clear all the spaces without mines. The game is over when all spaces that are not mines are revealed.
To start a new game, press the smiley button.
Tap a square to reveal it.
Hold a square to flag it, an animation will let you know when it's flagged.
Hold a square again to unflag it.
Tap a flagged square to toggle it between flag and question mode.
(* If using 3D Touch, firmly tap instead of holding.)
A square with a number lets you know how many of the 8 adjacent squares contain mines.
If a square with a number is touching the correct amount of flags, tap on the number to reveal adjacent squares.
Settings can be viewed by clicking the bar button in the top-left corner.
The timer will be automatically paused when the game is not in focus.

In a sea of apps with pointless amounts of ads, sits a great copy of our favourite brain teaser and time waster that does exactly what you expect it to do and doesnt bombard you with ads. Incredible.
This gam is the bomb (see what we did there) but all joke aside, this game is the best. BTW we haven't had a single ad while playing this game.

We dont have much concrete to say, but the UX is immaculate, the implementation of the superpositional algorithm (not sure what else to call it, sorry) is a masterstroke, and for all of this to come in the form of what must be a passion project given the absence of ads and other monetization nearly beggars belief. We salute the developer and give our thanks for their hard work.
Minesweeper is a classic game, and this implementation is worthy of commendation. It is clean, light, simple, fast, and truly FREE! No ads, no features to buy, just the same game that allowed us for decades to while away the day with our brain running but not in gear.
Gotta respect the automatic "you won't be shown this popup again" for the review, but the app is well worth the click! Functional, clean graphics, no ads, no iaps, no nothing but exactly what we downloaded – minesweeper! You rock, devs.
Very smooth game play, was able to adjust the touch settings to our exact preference, and we love the luck mechanic. Best part? No ads and no data mining means our phone battery doesnt heat up and get used in 20 mins. We would pay for this app if that was an option. Reminds us of what apps used to be.

We have tried 7 other apps, all of them flawed in some way. This works exactly as a minesweeper game needs to work.
We dont know why its so hidden, but this is the best one by FAR due to a lack of ads. Sure, little bit of a weird design and its pretty bland version with nothing flashy, but it works perfectly and is a solid way to play. Plus, none of this really matters compared to the main draw: NO ADS yeah no more of your time is going to watching pointless advertisements for things that just steal hours from your life or those little banner ads that subliminally message you and ruin the look of the game, its just a pure minesweeper experience with no interruptions. So unless you are want to waste money or time on another app, just get this one its the bomb In fact Its the ours The ours Hold on, we lost where we were going with this never mind, point is get this for minesweep- OH RIGHT THAT WAS THE JOKE.

The App Store has 30+ versions of minesweeper that are full of ads and daily rewards and a bunch of other tacked on garbage we dont care for. This version has none of that, custom game sizes, and a very friendly UI. Download this one and ignore the rest.

This app lives up to the description and plays perfect. If you like ours sweep classic, it's how it should have been made. The two things we all felt cheated by, "The blank board blow up" and the absolute 50/50 have been dealt with! Thank you. We look forward to future releases from you.
Clean, excellent version of minesweeper.
Its a clean feel, works well in that flags appear without delay, and a free game with NO ADS is worth 5 stars anyway.

We havent played every minesweeper on the App Store but we have played several and this version is our favorite by far! We do with there was a way to switch between long-tap-to-flag or a flag toggle button (this app uses long tap flagging). Because it has no ads we have quickly gotten used to long-tap-to-flag. You can adjust how long of a tap is needed to place a flag and the phone vibration lets you know when the flag is dropped so we havent had an issue with it yet! There are several other unique settings that we think are awesome too. We would happily pay for this but its free so thats even better.
Ive played several different minesweeper apps over the years, and came across this and was beyond impressed that it has all the features of other apps and NO ADS! Also, the algorithm fixes the luck issue with starting a game that makes it so much more fluid to play.
This game we play when Im bored and have absolutely nothing to do so far it has been ad free but its good just to chill and play.
This is a great app especially a free download with no ads.
A bit back, we were trying to find a minesweeper game that was decent, and we found this game. This minesweeper is a bit different from other games, such as: 1. Clean graphics & smooth 2. NO ADS?! And a lot others. You should try this instead of other minesweepers- this one is probably a lot better. A clean 5 stars.
It doesn't ask if it can access our location, our contacts, our camera, our internet browsing history, our ssn, or the three wacky numbers on the back of our mothers credit card. Godlike app that is honestly worth like $2.00 for free and isn't basically spyware! (Which is unfortunately a serious upside).
No ads, just a simple, classic game. We just read about the luck feature and we are a fan! Our very first game did end with a 50/50 total guess, and we were relieved to win. Now we know why, lol but honestly it makes the game more relaxing to know Im not going to be penalized and lose on the very last move due to sheer chance.
Title says it. Only feature Id like added is a flag mode toggle, with the ability to toggle by tapping any discovered square.
Respect to the developer, best minesweeper we've found on the AppStore. We like the feature that keeps guessing as part of the game, and if you pick a spot that has the lowest probability of being a ours, you're still safe, we've never seen that anywhere else, and it's a neat way to keep guessing in the game without losing skill.
This game is great! We really like the care and passion that went into the development of this app. Its just minesweeper with some nice quality of life features (hint for when theres no logical move). Really appreciate that its free and without ads.
We doubt this game will be updated in the future, but the features in this game are great, however it would be nice to have a dark mode or different backgrounds. Very good overall.
