Mixerpiece is a new extraordinary, creative and educational award winning app for children, created by visual artist Giuseppe Ragazzini.
Mixerpiece is a sort of digital magnetic board, with more than 200 items and shapes which you can use and combine to create new works of art while learning art history.
In fact all of the items you can play with and mix together are taken from some of the greatest masterpieces of all times
The creative possibilities are endless.
Two of the amazing Mixerpiece’s functions are:
- Tap and hold on the items to show you the details, and the original masterpiece the items come from.
- Shake the ipad for a different arrangement
At the end you can send your artwork as a postcard, share it and save it on the Mixerpiece global gallery.

Loved using this from the beginning. Whenever your mind blanks we would take this out and relax and have fun using someone elses Art to create. With the addition of adding your own elements it becomes even more personalized. This has really become a nice addition to expand our work. All that is left is backgrounds! PS: we’ve never managed to send a postcard? It just asks a question about our parents or says fatto?
We wish we could give more than 5 stars for this outstanding app. It has a wonderful feature that allows us to import our own photos & PNG images. The collage possibilities are endless and totally addictive.
Any chance you could allow us to use our own picture from our gallery and then add the mixterpieces on it?
This app really inspires for creativity, bravo! It is simple in use, it has a variety of pieces so one can create pictures in different styles but we suggest adding several basic functions – 1) the possibility to save the project (work in progress) 2) undo button 3) controls for zoom in and out – with fingers and apple pencil it is physically impossible to zoom out the object. Again, big thanks goes to the team and looking forward to the enhancements.
This app brings out the child in even the best mobile artists. Picasso said it takes a long time to be young. So turn back the clock and enjoy.

@patrishaheatonfineart Mixerpiece has exceeded our expectations. Its endless possibilities are intriguing. We belong to three private digital art groups on FB and this app keeps cropping up in our work. Mixerpiece is like playtime for adults. As a retired educator, we think, in a digital classroom, this app could be a very enjoyable way for students to learn about art history.
We just love this app! Hope you make it better and better with even more pieces, a more advanced color wheel, and easier layer manipulation. Would also. Be great to be able to import other images! Cant wait to see what you do next!
This app is wonderful. We are loving experimenting with the endless number of creations we can come up with and we love how it is such a stimulus for the imagination. We’ve downloaded a lot of art apps and sometimes get bogged down in the complexity of figuring out how to use them and end up with an image we actually like. This app is simple to use yet gives you the opportunity to create something interesting and complex. And there is the added bonus of seeing what great artworks the various pieces where taken from. If you love art and you love to create images you have to try this app!
This app is aimed toward childrens educational app. We are in our 50s and absolutely love it!! We love collage and this app makes it possible to create something fast, it is relaxing to just sit back and put pieces together to see what comes up. We are hoping the developer brings it to iPhones! Another suggestion we have is add the ability to import our own images. This app has plenty of potential left to grow. In the meantime download it and have fun!!
This is a great app. You can make a lot of combinations with parts of some of the greatest pictures. Just use your imagination. We definitely recommend it.

Such a fun app! This app brings out the child in us…. Like cutting out things with scissors and pasting them on paper to make a collage. It has a lot of other possibilities when combined with other apps for for endless results!
This app is so much fun and has sparked our creative community into producing very surreal images. We are trying to create a dedicated FB page because the response to this app has been so great. Artists of any level can use it. We cant say enough good things about it! Have fun!

We say we because there are many of us digital artists and photographers who are having much fun playing in the Mixerpiece world since discovering the app. It is a delight! We know it was created as an educational and creativity app for kids but its also a beautiful and fun app for adults to use to further open up creativity, incorporate into artwork and play with for the joy of it. We find it both engaging and relaxing, and that creating images with the app encourages storytelling and playfulness. We’ve recommended it to friends who dont feel like theyre creative and, after playing with it, they realize they are! We are happy to give this app five stars!
Oh our gosh, what an absolutely brilliant app!!! We just found out about Mixerpiece a few weeks ago on Instagram and finally bought it on New Year’s Eve we’ve been feeling very uncreative for a couple of years so we thought Mixerpiece might help us feel creative again. It is. And it’s a lot cheaper than therapy we’ve only made three Mixerpieces so far but we’re having so much fun. We’re posting them on our Instagram account, Smiling at Strangers, if you want to take a look.
We give this wonderful app five stars for the pure joy and many smiles it has given us. We first saw it being used by a fellow artist on Instagram. We were first impressed with the artwork that was created and we knew we had to try it out. It was so much fun and it easily incorporated into various styles of digital artwork. We have been amazed by the many wonderful pieces of art we have seen. With each artist Mixerpiece keeps morphing into something new with their styles applied. We can only imagine what is to come of this app.
This app has exceeded our expectations but we have some suggestions for a perfect experiance: 1- The resolution should be optimized for iPad Pro 12.9 inches. 2- More objects= endless possibilities! 3- The colors wheel should have more colors and adjusted for easy color choices. 3- Layers, transparency and different effects should be added to adjust the objects.
We totally recommend this app, we have spent hours on it. Collage is one of the most creative art forms, and everyone can do it with Mixerpiece, it has bring that element of boost to creativity and its challenging Im hoping that with updates come more objects to choose from. And a form of game challenges. Kudos Mixerpiece.
