We used to play this game when we were a lot younger and we were obsessed. Im a teenager now and we just found this game again and its still awesome. It has plenty of colors and patterns to choose from and the background music is one of the best things too.

This was a fun app, but alas, it is not compatible with iOS 11. If you dont planning on upgrading to iOS 11, then by all means, use it and have fun.

We love this app. However, it keeps shutting down on us while we're in the middle of coloring a monster and we have to start all over again. It completely erases what we were working on. It's not just with us, it will do it on our mother and our friends iPads, as well. Other than the shutting down issue, this is a wonderful, creative, and imaginative app. The monsters are just adorable and there are a lot to choose from. It would be nice if more colors were available AND more patterns. KUDOS ON A FANTASTIC APP. please, help us with our shutting down issue.

This game is delightful, fun and easy. The monsters are cute and you can be so creative. Also we like that you can email monsters o pppl. Who doesn't want a monster in their inbox.
We love everything that's in this app. Easy and fun to use! Suggestions: 1) Pease update the app with Even More Monsters. 2) Include new monsters in every category with a corner edge icon on the thumbnails, representing new monsters. 3) Add Some New Categories: Scary. Tiny. Teeth. Pets. 4) Have a continuous cover flow-type preview selection that goes from one category to the next and loops around.
The monsters make great backgrounds, are fun to send people, and super fun!! Yay monsters.
One of our favorite apps. A lovely variety, and we love the music as well. A favorite app, no complaints. One of our first purchases on our iPad.
We love it ourselves, but it's also something our 3 year old can do for a long time and which we do together. The background music, which you can turn off, is so lovely that we leave it on. We don't do many games on the iPad, but we do have this and train builder, which our 6 year old enjoys.
Our 3 and 5 year-olds love this app and we were amazed at how little help they needed to learn how to navigate it. They ask to play "paint monsters" quite often. The illustrations and even the background music are delightful. Love this app, love the monsters.
We know that's not a word, but this ap needs it's own special words! It's creative, colorful and just plainly tickles our FUN bone! Makes folks of all ages relax, get in touch with their child and and smile.

This coloring book is LOADED with FUN! So many monsters, so many colors, patterns, stickers..limitless hours of coloring. We like to email our monsters to our friends and family, like our "Monster of the Day". They're cool to print too. Lots of content, kids love it and we do too. We like the classical music options, but then we discovered we could color monsters while listening to our iTunes playlists. Great value. Great App. Glad we bought it, our kids new favorite! :D.
The update is great! We love the new stuff.
New version: Great improvements: getting rid of Monster Bucks and unlocking content, and the new expanded color palette. The new colors give this app much more depth and possibility than others like it, and keep adults and kids engaged longer. Pinch & zoom would be a great improvement, and make this app functional on the iPhone. Old version: Nice monsters and color palette, but UI buttons get in the way on both iPhone and iPad. Overall the UI is too much in the foreground, especially for a kids app. The Monster Bucks thing is maybe ok for older kids, but beyond younger kids and annoying for adults too. On the iPhone it is impossible to color some of the smaller details accurately for either adults or kids. Overall not as streamlined an app as Super Why coloring book.

We would have given it 5 stars but it crashes often.
This app is fun, simple to use, and the monsters are very cute. However, it crashes frequently, and we cannot switch from fill mode to brush mode while coloring a monster.
We bought this app for our iPad and loved it. It was a bit crashy, but mostly worked. It wouldn't crash completely, just to the background. So, naturally, we didn't install it on our iPhone 3. When we got our iPhone 4, we added it right away. We've found it to be hard to precisely color on such a small screen. We're not attempting shading or anything but tapping on a tiny hoof colors the whole background, tapping on a stripe in the horns colors the section you already colored. Plus, if you mess up, no undo. So, we recommend a zoom option (finger pinch) and an undo button. 5 stars for those options.
We don't get it. Maybe most of the good reviews are by parents. We bought this thinking it would be a relaxing, fun thing to do a few minutes a day. But the only thing adult fingers can do is fill areas with the tools. There is absolutely no way to "color" and stay in the lines. It's a mess. The pictures are simply too small. And as many people have mentioned, there's mo way to make them bigger. We wish we hadn't spent the money on this.
This is nicer than most coloring books, and we snapped it up the minute it went on sale for $1.99. However, there in a big crash problem in the brush-selecting mode. Not okay with our 4 year old or ourselves. In the end, if this problem persists, we would say it is not even worth the sale price.
Love the patterns and monster designs. Good for adults who like to color too! App gives you some built in point to spend on add-ons..nice.

So much fun and lots of creative options.
At first we were like, "Wonderful… Another money grubbing app…" when we saw that you had to buy "monsterbucks" to purchase the patterns and colors they feature in the review. BUT! Changed our mind quickly when we saw that they give you 10,000 "monsterbucks" to start with and you continue to earn more as you use regular features throughout the app itself. We see that everyone else uses this app for kids… We're 20. We use this app when we're bored and have a few minutes to kill. We didn't want any regular coloring app. Monsters just happen to make it intriguing for all ages.

This app is an overall spectacular experience. There is a really nice variety of pages to color along with a nice range of tools to enable you to hit the ground running. If you want to spend time adding the attention to detail by picking a brush or decal to really make the monster your own. It's very easy to output your customized monster to your photo album along with a printer with adds a great "cool factor". At first it was a little challenging for our 4 1/2 daughter to pick the tools or monsters that she wanted to use because you have to purchase the items with monster bucks, however after taking a little time to set things up for her she was able to easily enjoy the app without our help so we would suggest, for younger kids, to take a few minutes to help set it up. As for utilizing some of the full capabilities of the iOS, it can't be any better. A single purchase enables it for both your iPhone and the iPad and, once again, the printing feature really makes the app complete. We really look forward to seeing how The Monster Coloring Book evolves over time.
We're a grandmother and our grandkids love coloring at our house and in the car. We also have fun printing their pictures. Even grandpa uses this.
We just bought this tonight. We test all apps we buy our 5 year old before he sees them. We could NOT stop playing around with this! You can be so very creative! He's going to have as much fun as we are with it! We've bought a TON of coloring apps since getting our ipad 2 back in May. But, this one is the best one we've found so far! Our little monster is going to love it! Mommy monster already does.
We were a nanny for 6 weeks and this app is just the kind of thing you want to put into a kids hands when they are beginning to get restless. When it comes to children's apps your biggest desire is that they are actually engaging the children. This app leaves us without a doubt a child would never become bored once they were given the opportunity to create something in a non confusing and simplistic way that makes sense to them and doesn't just happen with the pressing of random buttons. Top marks.
Ok, in general this is a pretty cool app. The art is awesome and the idea is really neat. Being able to save, share, print, etc with the images is cool. HOWEVER, there are several issues that annoying from the get go. First, the biggest thing, get rid of the stupid monster bucks and buyings monsters, patterns, brushes, etc scheme. For a kid, they just want to color. Either make the images available or not but don't confuse kids with the colors some. Earn bucks, and buy (unlock) more flow. If you want to make money, then sell additional packs of these things as in app purchases. The app needs a LOT more colors, colors need to have opacity so they can be mixed to make more shades. Same with patterns. With those we expected something more like a Microsoft office color palette, where we could pick a wavy line pattern and then have it be any color from our palette. Needs an "advanced" mode to allow older kids and adults to truly finger paint so you can put a swipe of color here and there along with the fill. Would also be nice in this mode to have the option to stay in the lines as you swipe or to bleed a little so the monsters could look more artsy. Stickers need to have opacity as well as a "blend" mode so they can be masked by other elements. For example if a monster is holding a book and we want a sticker on the book cover, the monster's hand should mask on top of the sticker and not be covered by it. Again, overall it's a great app. The art is the best part by far. Just loose the more adult purchasing flows and enhance the overly childish coloring tools and we think you'll have one of the best kid and adult apps we've seen. PS – also, think about letting kids color a picture and then e,ail it as a post card or birthday card to grandma or something. Now to mail a postcard, we'd pay 99 per for that feature.
Cute monsters – not so cute interface. Only for patient, clever kids or adults. Good concept- improvements could begin with better navigation scheme and larger tabs for eager fingers.
We're crazy about this app! It's cute, fun and ridiculously engrossing. If we need to relax but have limited time, we just color a monster and go back to the business of our day a little more cheerful. We would love to see more stickers available— a customizable speech bubble would be awesome. We would instantly give this 5 stars if we could zoom into the picture. It's still a lot of fun on an iPod Touch or iPhone but it would be easier to use with zoom.
This app is great. As an adult who loves to color, this is one way for us to have a coloring book without hearing snickers from our husband. We would suggest you add the ability to allow the user to zoom on an area or move the picture around. Also, once a color is selected it would be nice if the bar would go away, since clicking on something on the picture to get rid of the color bar makes wherever you click turn that color. Another thing that would be nice is adding the ability to listen to iTunes instead of the classical selections. Anyway, great app! Can't wait to see what's next.
It would be nice to be able to play own music or have some kind of longer playlist so it doesn't loop so much. Crashes quite often – otherwise pretty enjoyable.
