We got this game years ago on our iPad and recently picked it up again on our phone. It's a very well designed platformer that focuses on making sure you can play levels again and again and it never gets old. There are goals for each level (win, get all the coins, etc,) that are really fun to try to get. Also the speedrun in the title is literal, it's really fun trying to beat your own records! Edit: web levels are up! No complaints.
We love pixel games is so kool and the music classic 5 stars Yay (^) But one problem it doesn't let go to the 3rd stage.

Reminds us a lot of Mario except a bit modernized, and its controls are so simple they work great on mobile.
What originally attracted us to this game was the retro look. MOS Speedrun is cute, quirky and infinitely replayable. Levels are set up so that you could accomplish one of several goals, then perform a proper speed runs. We personally love the unlockable costumes. The game has received continuous updates (including iOS 7 and iPhone 5 widescreen support), years after its release. We would like to see an "trophies" button to see the Game Center achievements. Thank you Physmo for your awesome game and continued work.
This game is awesome. The music is so catchy and he gameplay is good. If you are debating buying this, defiantly go for it. It's only a $1 and it's well worth it.

This is such an amazing game! Not necessarily revolutionary, but an extension of what has already been done. The graphics are great, and the game plays really well. The two problems for us are that you can't use your coins for upgrades, and the second is that it's annoying to collect badges to advance to the next set of levels. Please fix this and we'll change our review to five stars.
This game has cute retro graphics that make it seem as if you are looking through a television. The chiptune tracks are sick and definetely get you in the mood to hurry up. Fast, challenging, and it WILL make you rage.
This great little game is well designed with a variety of challenges, a steady increase in difficulty level (there aren't crazy jumps in difficulty level, but the latter stages do provide quite entertaining/frustrating challenges), and a very likable character and layout design. While it's only 25 levels, we think it's money well spent, particularly for those who love platformers. Our thanks to the developers.

This game is so much fun, especially if you fondly remember the original NES.
And a very catchy tune! We love all the little costumes he can wear, an all the trophies we earn from playing the game. We wish there was an option to see all the trophies we've earned instead of them just popping up in the screen as you play and then disappear… The jumping is a tiny bit of a challenge, but practice helps give you a feel of how to push and act. Good game.

Very tight easy to use controls original very catchy upbeat soundtrack nice 16 bit graphics and cleverly designed levels with challenges and coins this is game really is exceptional in design overall we recommend if you are looking for a speed run kind of game very fast :).

It's fun and easy, so anyone can pick it up. The jump mechanism is a little off, but overall really fun.

This platformer blew us away! It looks good and has great level design, but best of all, the controls and movement are the best we've seen on iOS… We applaud the devs.
FANTASTIC game that we come back to every so often when we want a few minutes of challenging play. Three more levels and we'll be done with the base game! About time to tackle the web levels.
It's a very simple game; you just bounce around and don't touch things. Like mario, without being able to kill things, or super meat boy without being able to wall jump. However, it's also one of the only games that's stayed on our phone over the years. Great iCade support too.
Incredible gameplay, awesome costumes, challenging levels, great music, this game has it all! It needs a really skilled hand to get through it with all the achievements (pass level, collect coins, before time limit, and collect hidden skull). We wish more people knew about it, then maybe the creators will make more levels! Definitely worth the money.
Awesome game, we got every goal in the game, been waiting for new content for like 2 years now, with no luck.
It has content for people who just want a quick platforming app and for hardcore gamers that want to accomplish every task. The character is adorable, and the costumes are cool. To finish it all off, the game has amazing music. The retro graphics are also neat.

Solid controls, creative levels, challenging but not too difficult – just great all around.
Love the music and the challenge but some deaths or slowdown are due to controls not responding properly, especially little unnecessary double jumps. Definitely worth playing though.
Control is very tight and it has that retro challenge. We think the graphics are decent but with some really nice touches like the rounded CRT TV border. We don't care for the blood slide when you die and wish there was a way to turn that off.
Could use more variety in music for each level.
We have completed the game (all skulls, coins, etc) and its a great retro platformer/speed runner. Coming from Mikey Shorts we have to say we prefer Mikey's look. Mos's look just doesnt appeal to us as much. Also, it takes too long after dying to retry. Mikey has a literally one tap retry button. Still, good speed run game and it's fun finding the skulls. Controls are spot on but you can tell the achievements were codes before the last batch of levels came out. Also, the web levels are a good concept but there is no way to view your past progress on them. Bummer.
