We really like Munzee because its active, has depth, and you can be in a clan without premium. Really fun to play. We wish they would introduce some capture the flag elements into the game!
We love this game! Been playing for almost 10 years and have met so many people and visited so many places by playing Munzee. We are a premium member but it is so worth it. We found it through geocaching and found Wallabee through Munzee. Thanks for always keeping us on our toes!
Spent a lot of money on the game already and now to complete a level 3 of 5 in clan wars we need to cap 10x the monthly requirement to get 1 QRate. Not paying $30 a year to remove it.
Im lucky to live in an area with lord of munzees, so its especially fun for us. They release consistent updates and specials, always making the game fun and fresh. The server can be slow sometimes, but unfortunately, that is a 3rd part issue. Great game to get outside!
Since latest update – Having to log in almost every time we use it. Would like to have mode control over pop ups. Still A lot of the map data is old or wrong. The compass doesnt work well either. Would really like it if it followed you rather than you having to recenter it to where you are.
Today we got notifications, went to view them and now we cannot log back into Munzee at all, we went in through our App Store so we didnt go through our email address and we dont want to delete and reload, that will make us lose all our data.
Once again this app is unusable after we upgraded our iOS which makes our premium account useless. Please fix this for a better review.
With the last update we can no longer log into our munzee account…: thanks devs….. Have deleted , reloaded , and still cannot log on… When you hit log in it takes you to the sign up screen… If you hit already have an account… Nothing happens…. FIX IT!!!!!!!
Less then 5 seconds, yet we keep getting a time limit exceeded. Stupid! And this is why we quit playing Munzee!
We actually found this app when we were geocaching. We really like this app but we would also like it if they had things to do at home but that really isnt a problem its more like a preference. We also like how the qr codes are most likely small enough so nobody will notice them unless they look for them. Its weird that there are so many but you havent noticed them even if you have been there. Also if you dont know what Munzee is, its an app that tells you where qr codes are and you scan them so you can get points. There are also virtual ones where you have to be a certain distance near them to be able to claim there points. Overall we really like this app.
Tried playing clan wars but one of the requirements is to get ten QRewzees but you need premium to use a filter to find them. So kind of a pay to win senecio, and our brother who bought premium cant find anywhere in Phoenix so we cant even participate. Still enjoy playing however but it really needs changed or at least something so people who dont pay can play.
After complaining about recent update breaking iPhones you fixed it with this latest update. THANK YOU!! Would have rated a 5 but it still eats battery life like crazy.
The map can sometimes have off moments, specifically when trying to move it around and look for more captures. Map could use work, but everything else in the app is great!!
The old app allowed us to use Waze to get to a Munzee. It was a lot safer because we could get voice directions. Hopefully Munzee headquarters will upgrade again to make this App safer.
After using app for a little bit map wont move properly with finger… Just moves in circles. Also would like to see the map follow our position as we move or drive.

We downloaded this sense we also like geocaching, but the maps are terrible. Buildings arent where theyre supposed to be which makes for a bit of confusion when trying to locate the tags. Aside from that its a fun thing to get you outside.
So you guys can put some stickers scanner thing and we can see it.
We love this game, you can explore new places and see new things you havent seen before we highly recommend this game its so fun.
It might be a good app, but we cant run because we cannot sign up because of you have to do a number between zero and nine ologies K thats not working Im doing it its not working someone stole will not recommend.
Since the maintenance was done on the app we have been unable to use it. We dont want to redo our login because we do not want to lose our Munzee history.
Love the gameapp is crashing, burning & going downhill at an alarming rate. More bugs and tech issue days than good playable days. Need to hire true app developers and techs individuals than the buddy system. Seems like everyone is self taught with limited knowledge of how to actually upgrade correctly. Currently the worst functioning paid app at use.
Our account is just over 90 days old now and while at first, we were annoyed over things, like loading satt maps, its grown on us. Comparing Munzee to Pokmon Go is like comparing Apples to Oranges, they are similar as they both rely on gps and maps, but differ in approach and target audience. We’ve found Munzee to be the unique link between mobile gaming and geocaching. During the short time we’ve played, we have lost over 15lbs (which we were unable to achieve just playing PoGo from 2016-now). Munzee really forces you out of the house, office, car, and A/C (bring water), to cap codes and get moving. Im still learning things and Im close to becoming a QRew member soon, so Im stoked!
First, this is basically a much simpler geocaching idea, and its kind of nice in that it takes less time, and you dont have to worry about wet logs or other weather damaged things. That said, there are way too many of these, like every lamp post, and if you cant find one, like if a post has been removed, you get an error message saying that you are not allowed to leave that note. Why would you want people to waste their time looking for one that is not there?
Really fun app for doing something while you exercise, but we’ve lost a lot of points because it won’t let us get mythical munzees. It says that we’ve already captured the munzee.
Just play Pokmon go and save the trouble.
Actually quite a good game. Especially if you have sticker paper and a printer. It is good at encouraging us to go on walks, and it surprises us how many munzees there are. We think that virtual munzees are a blatant cash grab by the company, but it doesnt bother us too much. We would recommend it to a walk and city enjoyer, but beware of how badly it wants you to upgrade.
You should add a report missing button. We came across many Munzees that were either faded or gone. But overall amazing app! Five stars! (Btw our phone is glitching we don’t know if we rated it five stars it’s all black or grey no matter what we tap)
There are zero in our area they show our map when we go to find them theres nothing that.
We have been playing Munzee since 2011 and love it more as time goes on. So much innovation keeps it fresh and clan wars make it something you can do with or without others! We still geocache, and love that too, but we play Munzee every single day. We have attended large events in MN and CA and look forward to more. Thanks for the fun and exercise Munzee!
Great for exploring cities. Kinda stupid but so fun !!
We’ve been using this app for awhile now and we think that its a great activity but we just have one concern. The gps is slow and laggy, especially in an area with tons of munzees around. If there would be a way to make it more accurate this would be super helpful. Other than that we dont have any concerns.
This app made us walk on a frozen pond and it broke and we fell in and it killed our phone in ( mins its a fraud it lied.
If we listed off everything thats wrong, Apple would refuse to post our review, so Ill just give a short list. Servers go down for hours at a time. Theyre laggy when they do work. They wont fix bugs and design issues because they keep adding more content (to a system that already cant handle whats currently on it) because that brings in more money. EVERYTHING is absurdly overpriced. Its overly complex to the point that we’ve had friends look at it and say No thanks. Thats too much trouble for something thats supposed to be fun. They make it increasingly impossible to pay without spending money and keep changing the rules to force you to pay more money to keep using what you already paid for. They dont listen to players at all. Feedback is treated as an annoyance and its implied that they feel theyre doing us all a favor by giving us even a tiny fraction of what we paid for. Munzee used to be really fun. Our conscience wont let us recommend it anymore.
To move up on the standings, be prepared to spend a substantial amount of money!

We love this app! We have been playing Munzee nearly every day for four years and love the game. This app is very reliable and they frequently roll out enhancements to make the game even more fun. We have made a lot of new friends in the Munzee community and have lost weight playing the game.
Im apprehensive to use this as it shows real-time your location to other users when you capture a Munzee and we dont see any setting to put that information on private.
We like that you guys have so many contests and new specials. Its highly competitive. And the Munzees are really cool. Somebody really like Alice in Wonderland at Munzee HQ. But that map is atrocious. Seriously, dude. With everything that goes in to the attention to detail with the Munzees it would seem that the map could be tweaked. We go from a close-up view of the Munzee Im after and with a slight bump or jostle Im clear out in space looking down on CONUS, wondering how the Sam Hill did we get clear up here in the outer atmosphere. But otherwise, really nice seasonal events, a plethora of badges to go after and just a lot a bit of merryment. And like the tie-in to Fitbit to even encourage us to get our steps/miles in . Good job. But can you work on the map ? Please.
Hadnt played in a few years so we downloaded the app and it will not let you capture anything. It says failed to initiate QR code scanner. If it doesnt get fixed how can anyone play???????????

We’ve been trying for days to get in but there are way too many user names taken abs we just keep making stuff up. Maybe you should add a function that will recommend user names after youve entered one.

Difficult to scan barcodes which ppl stick everywhere, but dont maintain. Found thru GCing, and the same problem occurs there. Ppl put out tens, hundreds, and maybe even thousands of little tiny QR codes, they put them on the site, get bored, and forget them. The unsuspecting keep looking, frustrated, and giving bad ratings. Ppl who dont maintain their responsibilities hurt others!
After seeing countless ads all over our social media sites, we finally decided to give Munzee a shot. We love Geocaching, so we had some hopes it would be as fun. And it was. It was easy to use and pretty straight forward when it came to finding the Munzee. However, we feel as though Im limited to what we can do in the free version. We can see photos, share photos, we cant post if the Munzee was not found or needs repair. We can only make a basic comment. The virtual felt dual and left us with wanting more of a challenge. We tried this out for the first time at Disneyland. While we stood in one spot in line, we caught at least 5 virtual Munzees. Its great because you can add up the points, but unlike Geocaching, theres no challenge to it. Like, answering a question or finding a specific location to earn that virtual Munzee. Another issue we found in the app were Munzees that shows active on the app, but were removed from the site. It seems as though the creators of the game or owners of Munzees dont archive dead Munzee sites. We’ve drove to three different locations where we knew theyd be located and they were painted over or completely removed from the site. We were disappointed about this. Lastly, the GPS needs a TON of work. We can be across the street, but our location is showing several feet away from where Im really at. This is frustrating when youre hunting down these QR codes. When youre searching for Munzees, you need your GPS to work accurately so you can find these little suckers. Overall, while Im not too thrilled about the app, we do plan to hold onto it, play a little more and hope that developers of the game make some great changes in the future, with the game itself and with the app.
So far so good on the new app, but for iPad use Landscape Mode must be added. Hearing from other developers for other apps we know this isn’t a "simple fix" but we’re hoping this is on your list for future updates. Using v4.0 on our phones, but glad v3.0 will still be around for a while for use on our iPad until this is updated.
Its fun and honestly better than geocaching. Occasionally the compass is off.
