A Glimpse into Nevertales: The Abomination
Cross the border between the imaginary lands and the real world as you fight against a force known only as The Abomination. With it, enjoy an amazing Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure from Nevertales, the famous HOPA fantasy series!
Nevertales: The Abomination places you in the role of Anea, a young spellcaster, living in a land created from the imagination of real people. Your mentor is the most powerful mage of Inspiria, yet not even her can stand against the Abomination, a rising force of darkness and destruction. With the last of her power, she sends her best student, you, to visit the realm’s creator, a writer known only as Ballard, and ask for help.
Much to your surprise, Ballard is not the least bit interested in helping. We really enjoyed this game. Our favorite aspect involved the spells. Unlike most other games where special powers are used immediately and are gone, this one allows you to use the spells multiple times. We really appreciated that.
We want to purchase the full game. Its telling us its 50% off right now yet its wanting to charge us $7.99. Theres no way the full price of the game is $16 rounded up. Ill spend under $5.00 to play a game Im only going to enjoy one time but more than that is too pricy for our logic.

Update: A really great game! So glad to see you back Mad Head. This was an engaging, challenging game. As a retired professor in the humanities, we are always amazed when the narrative, music, background knowledge, graphics, and the technological know-how thrumming in the background work so well together. Buy this game! And again many thanks to Lynx Minx and others who work to keep us playing these smart games. We played this game twice, just to see and hear it all again. It is a great value. 1st reviewGreat little bit we could play but game will not unlock. We emailed Mad Head and they are working on a fix. For us, this was a good 4-star game, but because they offered a terrific 50% launch discount, Im bumping it up another star – thanks Mad Head! Almost done with the game, and everything has been running smoothly. They now have morphs in every scene as well as the hidden objects, and some are challenging to find, which adds to the fun. Game play is solid, game gadget of spell book isnt annoying to use. Looking forward to future Mad Head game releases to ios!

A nice long game with lots to do. Once the purchase issue was resolved the game worked as expected. The puzzles are a little trite, but overall this is a very good game. Only problem we found was a slight touch issue. Our real rating would be 4-1/2. Good to have you back Mad Head. Keep it up and you will have lots of followers.
Downloaded and finished the sample but wouldnt allow us to purchase so we could keep playing. How utterly disappointing. Since its fixed it is a good game keep them coming!
Welcome back, Mad Head Games! We’ve missed playing your games, so Im ecstatic to finally be playing one. This is an engaging, fantasy-based storyline in which you play an audacious Mage who resides within one of four mighty but imaginary realms, all created from the mind of a brilliant fictional writer. Unfortunately, these peaceful realms are under imminent threat from an evil force controlling the writers mind; and you set out on a captivating adventure to save the realms before they succumb to ultimate obliteration. The storyline does not stray far from the protagonist must save her world from the evil villain theme; but it maintains action-packed drama and fast-paced movement to pique our curiosity all the way through to the end. We felt drawn into the novel idea of an author affecting the four realms through his writing. This game is heavy on conversational cut-scenes, which some players might feel disrupt the gameplay. Theres no shortage of magic here. You put your Mage skills to work by collecting ingredients to create enchanting spells that advance your goals, like a spell to transform yourself into a mermaid so you can explore under the sea. Throughout your journey, you meet various fleshed-out characters who add depth to the storyline; and you often help them effect a task to receive aid in return. The characters appearances consistently refresh in accordance with each altering realm. This developer is known for their adeptness in conjuring up inventive worlds of otherworldly ambiance. The environments give us a Utopian vibe, as each realm exudes its own distinct, fantastical landscapes. Mad Head gives us the customary features: Interactive inventory, teleportation map, and custom settings. However, under custom settings, we did not see marked available actions on the map; we only noticed which locations are available. A game should not solely rely on the backbone of the storytelling; it requires stimulating gameplay for support. Unfortunately, we feel the gameplay falls short of our expectations, presenting just standard HOA farea disappointment. Even though the HOSs are creatively designed and suit the plot, none stood out or wowed us in terms of innovative interactions. You can expect the commonplace story-driven types and overwhelming traditional word lists. One interesting type was the three scrolls with symbols that keep switching positions. Moreover, many of the puzzles lack the complexity we usually anticipate from this developer. Most are on the easy side, being solvable in a few steps; however, there are several more difficult ones that offer some challenge. One standout that did take some time to work out is the puzzle in which you switch around and rotate triangles to align the same number of dots on adjoining sides. There are collectibles within the locations, as well as morphing objects within the HOSs. We detected some touch sensitivity issues, at times, regarding inventory usage; but it was not a hindrance to our progression. Overall, in our opinion, the storyline is the strongest element in this game; and the gameplay is just average. However, it still is an entertaining enough game that is worth the purchase price.

This is not the fault of Mad Head. Also remember to subscribe to the newsletter! This game is specially priced as well! Update August 29: this really is an abomination, no pun intended. We still cannot unlock the game, although it seems everyone else can. Its unfortunate, because we would have loved this game based on the free trial. Next up for Mad Head will be Wanderlust: City of Mist. Also in a few days we will have a release from Friendly Fox in the Immortal Love Series. Happy gaming, players!
We keep trying to purchase the game but it just sends us back to the main page. We’ve restarted and whatnot but this game doesnt seem like it wants to be sold. The beginning is very interesting and we’ve loved this series so we hope this glitch gets fixed quickly.

We were very happy you were back, l really loved the Adam Wolfe series that was a beautiful game and had a good story. We started to play the free part of the Nevertale The Abomination and when it ended l wanted to purchase the game but kept taking us back to unlock page. Please fix and l will update our review.
