HangXun Nonogram is a kind of picture logic game that was first invented by the Japanese in 1987. At first, the game was named after "お絵かきロジック", which means "drawing logic". Now Nonogram is known as nomogram, pictogram, Hanjie, Griddlers, Picross, Japanese Crosswords, Japanese Puzzles, Pic-a-Pix, "Paint by numbers" and other names.
Nonogram game starts with tens of blank cells in a N x M grid, and these blank cells must be colored or left blank according to numbers at the side of the grid to reveal a hidden picture. In this puzzle type, the numbers are a form of discrete tomography that measures how many unbroken lines of filled-in squares there are in any given row or column. For example, a clue of "3 6 2" would mean there are sets of three, six, and two filled squares, in that order, with at least one blank square between successive sets.

We like puzzles, and find these type of puzzles intriguing. Really sharpens the mind.
Great app with regular and colored monograms. They have an ad after each puzzle, but its just a simple pop up you can exit immediately which is WAY better than the ones you have to wait forever to x out of three separate times. We get fed up with those and stop playing- these arent bad at all and a small price to pay for a great free app!
Simple, and a huge huge selection. Even after trying other apps, we always come back to this one because of the variety and simplicity You can also play offline! So its great for airplane flights and long car rides where your connection might be faulty The ads dont feel as invasive or overbearing as other apps, and they dont outright interrupt gameplay. The ads are placed well and arent a whole separate chore to get out of (many other apps have video ads that wont close out properly and so youll have to straight up restart the app)
This is the greatest nonogram app we’ve tried. The ads arent shoved in your face and theyre easy to swipe out of. The gameplay is varied with so many different grid options, youre not just stuck with 5×5, 10×10, and 15×15.
We love the options and how challenging it is.

We really enjoy the size of the fount and the complexity of the designs. The only thing we would change is adding a way to check for errors instead of losing after 3 mistakes.
Varying difficulties. One drawback… Some puzzles require one or 2 guesses with no way of solving with just logic.
If it werent for the ads with sounds this would be a very good ap. Other ads are fine but the ones with sound were bad enough we had to delete it.
Eventually you get to puzzles with a different input, instead of simply touching the square you want to fill or x. It adds complexity that is completely unnecessary. Worse, when the input is at the lower edge of the puzzle, it is covered by the ad banner. Since it was then unplayable, we deleted the app. Looking for a simple nonogram app, and this isnt it.

Fun games. Not too many ads. Lots of puzzles to choose from. There are daily games, a game with levels, or play a puzzle from the 100s of monochrome or colored ones.

We are really enjoying this app. Its flawless, except for one thing. It doesnt work with Apple Pencil on the iPad. Please update so it works with Apple Pencil on iPad!! Thanks!!
We have to pay this game is horrible.
We play this apps nonograms as we listen to podcasts. The most recent update has added full page ads with audio with a seconds-long delay before you can remove it. The audio that it plays pauses the audio of our podcast or music, and to play it again we have to open the iphone swipe down menu to press play again, which triggers another ad to appear and pause it again. The app was perfectly functional before this update, and now is disruptive and terrible. There were ads enough before but now it impedes the functionality and is frankly insulting. If this isnt addressed we will be uninstalling the app.
Fun to play buy the pictures need a title. Many times after we solve a puzzle we look at the picture and wonder what is that?.
We feel like our brain gets a good workout solving these puzzles!
Only request is to allow us to pay to permanently remove ads.
Love the pixel art. Its actually a lot better than other nonogram games we’ve tried. Especially the color ones. Also love that theres bigger than just 15×15!

When we first saw this game advertising over 10,000 puzzles we thought it was a trick! It’s an amazing app with great puzzles and surprisingly minimal ads that don’t ruin the experience.

We really like the options to have one color or many! And the ads are perfect. They are not 40 seconds long like other Nonogram apps! Only thing is we would like to see the board a little bit bigger. Sometimes its kinda hard to see. Otherwise its a good game!

There are so so so many puzzles. So addicting.
We love this game!!! It was our first experience with nonogram puzzles and we’ve become a little obsessed There are SO MANY puzzles on here in so many difficulty levels which is wonderful. Our only critique is we wish you would zoom in and out more easily (particularly with the toolbar suggested for difficult puzzles).
We really enjoy this game. We have played a lot of Nonograms or picrosses. We think our grandson will enjoy this as well. We like that you can pick your level and go to different games. Sometimes the colors are awfully close and its hard to tell whether its a black or dark gray for example. What would be nice is to name the picture when done because some items are unfamiliar. Aside from that, great game!
