This was an amazingly game! Beautifully pixelated world! Challenging, frustrating, and rewarding! Check it out!

We love the dynamics of the game.

This game is very well designed, despite the old-style graphics it has a very good soundtrack, gameplay mechanics and story. Worth every penny you spend for the full game, sadly we can’t because we are still a student.

Definitely one of the best 2D platformers we’ve played in a while. Rico is pretty awesome too. Look forward to seeing what Max comes up with next.

Us and our gf are just hocked trying to finish the game! Really fun..!

Honestly one of the best games we’ve played in a while on the App Store. The graphics and music make the experience equally mysterious and magical. Reminiscent of KatAM, as well.

The title pretty much sums up our thoughts on this game. Its fun, its awesome and it really lives up to its name. We LOVE THIS GAME!

We absolutely loved this game. The only problem is that in one of the Far Away levels, all the textures are shifted one block to the right, but they act like they aren’t, causing you to go through blocks. We loved this game and we would like to see this patched in the future.

Worth every penny. As fun as it is difficult, those save points will be beacons of light in the darkness.

We like to think we have pretty reasonable expectations for app games. We just want them to be functional and fun. This game not only met those expectations, it surpassed them! Beautiful music, and beautiful scenery in its simplicity. Most of the player characters in these side scroller app games feel like just pixels we’re controlling. This little guy, Nubs, was a character! We mean, sure. The game is simple and basic, but that’s it’s charm. No saving the world or heroic stuff. He just wants to live his life in his cozy little house. 5 stars! 11/10! Beautifully made game!

Great game! We rarely write a comment but this one is well deserved. So many levels and all fun and challenging.

We know the developers and they are awesome people, this game is great and we hope they might make more games in the future!

As a big fan of the pixel genre and what it can do ; we really feel this adventure . You feel for the little guy right away, and the chill music and sweeping world just draw you right in. And it’s a great balance, you don’t feel overwhelmed but you don’t feel it’s too easy either. This is the kind of stuff we could play all our life. Amazing!

Simple, but really nice looking graphics. Fun gameplay. Works offline and has a good save system. This game really feels like the developers cared about making a good game. It’s like a real PC or console game properly scaled down to work on the go. Definitely worth buying the full version and a 5 star rating.

Its one of our favorite games, and though it has basic graphics, it is still a great game!

We like the song and the animated and everything and also the story and the adventure please make more of these amazing apps.

This game was a great metroidvania offer on the iOS. Worth the buy! Wish we would’ve come across it sooner!

We almost never write reviews unless it is so good or very bad. This is a great game, well thought and challenging at times. Worth the money.

We absolutely adored this game. It’s an offline game, you can stop at any time and it won’t make you start over, Nubs is so cute and easy to control (although the Dirt Monster is pretty challenging), and it’s extremely detailed despite being pixel. Without buying the full version, we made it to about 25%, and that still took us hours upon hours upon hours. The full version is endlessly fun, as we still haven’t completed it (I’m at 45% now). Even without buying full, the game is amazing, engaging, and definitely high quality! We would recommend it to everyone.

We think this game has a great story and does a great job at making time fly. We start playing and have so much fun we end up playing until our phone dies.

Nub’s Adventure is a beautiful game with easy controls and no lag, our only complaint is that you can’t listen to music at the same time.

Great phone game. Im a sucker for old school style games. Nubs looks silly, and its quirky for sure. But its difficult, and the challenges they present took a lot of imagination and technical genius.

It is such a great game! Nice and simple! Though we may warn you that it can be VERY hard at times.

Wow. The graphics are simple, but the gameplay is fantastic. All of the little things add up: multiple ways to move through the levels make it feel like you’re really exploring. The basic platforming feels great. We love that there are places that seem out of reach, like it’s an actual environment and not just a puzzle you are going to complete. The world is full of nice little reactive atmospheric things, and the music fits in perfectly. You’re not just stuck in one style of movement, the way the gameplay works you get to play several kinds of games in one. A great example of the kind of depth you can create when you focus on gameplay over graphics and churning out content. And the story is light, but it sets up some dramatic tension right away, and characters throughout provide little bits of insight and color to the world, without dumping a lot of cheesy dialog on you. Honestly if you like action-adventure games this is really a fantastic modern interpretation of the genre. Our only critique is our fingers sometimes lose the left/right buttons. An adaptive virtual d-pad might be better. Or just some haptic cues or something when you drift off the buttons.

This game doesn’t have enough reviews on metacritic to get a score, but the ones it does have are positive and so we took a chance with it. We are so glad we did. The graphics are pleasant, the music is enjoyable, the controls work smoothly, and most importantly of all, the gameplay is highly satisfying. If you are looking for a worthwhile exploration-platformer, this is the one.

We love the game it really cool.

This game can be hard as heck but ultimately it is rewarding. Finally beat it after a year of on-and-off playing. An interesting world to explore, good controls (except for the worm :( ), great music and tough challenge. It is rare that a Metroidvania style game can be done well on iOS, but this is proof it is possible.

It controls great. It has an interesting exploration based design, with some action gameplay mixed in. Soundtrack is new agey in the best possible way. Simulataneously relaxed and entertained while playing. Recommended.

Simple yet so complex. The music is so soothing and goes perfectly well with the style of the game. We are enjoying this game so much! Thank you!

After this update our game pad stopped controlling the game.

Okay, we’ve been playing this since we were five and we love it!!!!! The story, graphics, and plot are all just amazing. Five stars any day of the week.

This is our first game review on the App Store and we had an iPhone for 7+ years now. This game is a must for anyone looking for a great game. Absolutely love it!

Wish it wasn’t so high to unlock the full game thou. Other than that it’s cool. We play these kinda of platformer app games mostly.

This game is just…. Wow. On the AppStore nowadays you find (supposedly) emoji makers, apps telling you where Pokmon are,and on very rare days,a direct port of a game for four dollars. But this? This is way different! Pixel art style, fun gameplay, and having to pay for the rest of the game. Yeah that is right, the developers didn’t make a paid version. Which we find ridiculous. Another (stupid) compliant is FALL DAMAGE,IN A 2D PLATFORMER. Well at least the game is still fun. Suggestions, make a paid version, every time you upgrade your house you get some kind of upgrade(bommerang upgrades, more health, and a sword would be nice) All in all the game is fine and we recommend it.

Great game, but tough at parts.

We wish there was more involved in the making of this game, really well made game otherwise.

Okay. So we didn’t know this. However, we were really disappointed that we can’t play past 13% without buying. :(

Doesnt support all MFI gamepads like gamevice flex.

Loved playing this game, we even decided to buy it. Now that we’ve paid for it the app won’t even load and constantly crashes.

This game was a lot of fun for about 10 minutes, then BAM pay wall. When will these companies learn that micro transactions that allow you to proceed or get an advantage are dead. Should have sold characters, VISUAL upgrades, NOT pay to proceed BS. FAIL, uninstall.

Good game, but it needs to be updated. There are significant bugs including ones that massively mess up platforms and hit/landing areas.

One of our favorite games ever. Whoever created this you are a GENIUS. We love this game so much and nubs is one of those characters that you really get attached too. And cannot let go.

This game is a really great platformer. It really opens up from the beginning.

If you love experiential, immersive games, don’t hesitate to get this game. Great visuals, physics, soundtrack, everything. The developer clearly went to painstaking lengths to craft this! Please ignore negative comments about the IAP. It’s the best $5 game we’ve picked up this year. The developer is a one man show, so he deserves every penny!!!
