We were hoping there would be an electronic version of the old card game we grew up with. Are used to play this with our parents and sisters when we were growing up. We had not played it since childhood and this was a welcome game to find. We also love the quaint old way the Old Maid is painted on the card.
We try to watch once the old maid leaves our hand but we lose her and eventually get her back……fun game.
We love this app but the only problem is that you can't shuffle the cards so you can just track the old maid down but overall it's a good app.
We love playing the Old Maid!! It's so much fun and we can play this game again and again.
This app is good and fun. The only problem is when you close out the app you lose the data from the previous game. That is the only thing we would fix but otherwise it is really fun and relaxing.
It is a good game but need to have options in the multi player for 2, 3 or 4 players.

This app has great potential, but, until you can shuffle and rearrange cards–an integral part of Old Maid–this app is worthless. You can simply track the old maid after it leaves your hand! Just terrible! Please update! Also, there is no online multiplayer…only pass and play. REALLY disappointing! We saw the negative reviews in the prior version (from 2010!!!!) about the aforementioned issues and decided to take a chance, hoping they were fixed…not!! The app STILL has the shortcomings after not having been updated for FOUR years!!! Wow, pretty bad indeed.

We used to play this game with our mom all the time as a kid! Although the characters have changed, the game is just as fun! Absolutely awesome and worth every penny :-).

The game is fun but when you play multi user, you can't choose the number of players. It automatically defaults to 4. It is frustrating. We want to play with our daughter and we can't. We have to play for 2 additional non-existing players. Please fix.
How do u receive the touched the sun achievement.
This app is fun for our 5 yr old son but what's dissapointing is it messes up on him the cards suddenly get really, really tiny to where u can't c them, and he had to log out it start over. Not fair, especially when he's winning and happy about it and the dum app messes up >=\ please fix.

This app is overpriced because it's the only old maid game in the app store. Not very fun.
It is fun but it needs to be free.
This game was always a childhood favorite of ours, but in this version the cards get really small and can be hard to select. They need to fix that and then it would be great. But barely being able to play it ruins the app.

Was really looking forward to this but the continual tapping to change from one player to another and the slowness make this game not so fun. Do not waste your money.

Had high hopes for this, but 2 bad things: any moron can always tell where the Old Maid is since you can't shuffle the cards and you can't designate fewer players than 4 in multiplayer. Boring even for our 8 yr old. Waste of $1.99.
This is one of the worst games we have played in a long time. Its not what you would expect. You can't shuffle cards around and you are stuck playing a 4 person game instead of 2 or 3. Don't waste your money as we have.
Thanks for making it universal! It looks great on our iPad! The cards are also very cute… Our niece wouldn't put the game down… Very well made game of Old Maid! Highly recommended.
Very addicting we think, perfect price, all you can ask for. No problems so far, if you like the classic card game this is for you. Vibrant colors are pleasing to the eye and cool music, of course you can always turn it off too.
We thought it would be a lot better. You can only play one person at a time so u And ur friends can't play :( bummer but other than tht pretty good.
Now we've said it before we love all the classic games and we've been in search of a classic old maid game but this one didn't live up to it either. It's not bad. The graphics are pretty…amature at best. Not bad but we'd save your money.

We have been waiting a long time for an Old Maid game for our iPod Touch, as it was one of our favorite card games as a kid. While we are glad to have this game available, it is pretty disappointing. You have only one option when you open this game: Play. No game rules, how-to, options, etc. This application is begging for an update, and we would suggest the following: 1) Rules of Play: Not everyone grew up on this game and knows/remembers how it goes. 2) How to Play: The extent of the game instructions is during actual gameplay; when it is your turn, a box in the top-left tells you to make as many pairs as you can. Doing away with this and having a menu option for Game Instructions would be much better from a design and usability standpoint. 3) Options/Settings: At the very least, include options for the volume of background music and SFX (which are kind of cheesy). An option to listen to your own music instead of the game's music would be a welcomed addition as well. 4) Characters/Players: WiFi play would be a very nice option. However, before that is added we think more importantly you should be able to not only name your own player (you are actually nameless in this game), but choose your other players from a set of CPU characters with varying, silly characteristics. You should also be able to choose how many players are in the game–every game is a group of 4 players (yourself, plus 3 others named only as Player 1, Player 2 and Player 3, without any faces or anything, just text). Old Maid can be played with 2-8 players, and that should be an option. 5) Levels: A feeling of "advancement" when you win a round, perhaps by sending you to a new setting/background/scene. The game gets very stale after playing the same exact round every time. 6) Graphics: While they aren't terrible, they aren't all that great either. The card characters look very much like cheap free clipart sketches dating back to the 80's, and not in a nostalgic way. They could definitely use some refinement or, better yet, replace them altogether with cute, more-modern graphics to match the look of the rest of the game. The background during gameplay and the main "menu" have a distinct style to them and the cards look out of place inside all of that. On the main menu, when you touch the two trees, they "bounce"… For no reason at all. An unnecessary and somewhat confusing effect that can be discarded altogether. Again, it's good to see this game finally made it to the iPod Touch/iPhone. We hope the developers work to make it even better. We don't want to be too harsh, but we honestly don't think it is worth 99 cents in its current version. Some well-planned updates could drastically change that and make it a steal for 99 cents. Lots of potential here.
