Overview:
Player holding device has to describe the phrase on the screen so that their team guesses it. Keep passing around until the buzzer goes off. Get caught with the device when the buzzer sounds, opposing team gets a point.
Full Directions:
Split up into 2 even teams. Gather in a circle so that no player is sitting next to their teammate (alternate). Choose a player to start the game. The player then has to give clues about the word so that someone on their team shouts it. You cannot say the word or give clues that rhyme with your phrase. When your team guesses the word/phrase, pass the device to the next player (of the opposing team). Swipe left to generate the next word. Keep playing until the time runs out. The team holding the device when the buzzer sounds loses (opposing team gets a point). Repeat until a team has the necessary points to win.

Nice game, but no updates. We would rate 4 or 5 stars if there were more word packs.
This is nearly perfect. Looks sleek, doesn’t record your face, and a nearly unlimited amount of words to guess. The timer sound is spot on and we’ve never had any trouble with the app crashing. We personally wish it had a 2 player mode where you score one point for every word you get the other person to guess and you switch off every round, but we can do that manually now anyway. Some of the words are a little weird but since we bought all of the packs that was sort of to be expected. I’d recommend this app to anyone, it makes for a great party game.
After getting the new update we can no longer open the app for longer than 2 seconds without it closing it self.
Fun and easy to use, the starter packs are okay. Easy is really really easy. We bought the entire word pack because it’s only 4 bucks. After paying for it, we get an error that says the packs could not be downloaded. Tried everything we could think of. We have a good connection, our phone storage is not full, uninstalling, reinstalling. Tried submitted a help request through the "support" link on the settings page and that link is broken too. Iphone 6 running latest version of 8.2. Fix the issue and we’ll give it 5 stars :)

This game is amazing and we highly recommend getting it! This app is way better than the other catch phrase game! Also if you have any problems, you can contact the creator and he will help you!
We couldn’t find catchphrase in ANY store in town, so this was our alternative. Based on reviews, we did the upgrade, and it was well worth it. It might even be better than it’s competition with the dirty words. Best app purchase ever.
This app has truly refined and mastered this awesome game that in no way resembles CatchPhrase. If you are all about fun, then you need to download this app. We cant stop playing!… We just hope the next version comes out with a 1-Player Practice Mode!
The mechanics of the game are identical to Catchphrase. The upgrade packs are definitely a good value — especially $4 to unlock all word packs. Definitely a fun party game that lasts 1-2 hours. The only downside of this game is that there isn’t as much variety in words/phrases as in Catchphrase. Many words/phrases were repeated over the rounds. This app is also a bit easier than catchphrase. Hopefully the developer can add new word packs and increase the level of difficulty in the future.

We love catchphrase, it’s so fun! That being said, we ordered the dirty words part and "rape" was part of this and we absolutely do not agree with that word being classified as dirty. Rape is a sexual violation against another person and should not be considered as part of ANY game.

Great game to play with friends and family and hilarious to hear what some people say.
Perfect pass-phrase style game. With the iPhone you can bust it out anywhere. Our wife and we just play back-and-fouth on walks without keeping score. It’d be interesting if the maker could come up with a 2 player style that deviated from the classic group gameplay.

This game is always fun at any party. Some comments about the app design and functionality. Wish you could make each round longer than 90 sec (works better in larger groups). The app is very clean and aligns with iOS 7 well. If you would remove the status bar (phone carrier/time/battery info) or change it to a white font that would be better. The black font is hard to read. It is almost impossible to see the text against the flickr backgrounds, so either make the font larger when using that or remove that option all together. Also found a typo with Statue of Liberty (the word was "state" of liberty). Seemed like even with the word expansion packs the same words repeated (I purchased three word packs with all of them turned on so that in theory shouldn’t happen). Look forward to future updates!
We’ve been a fan of catchphrase for a few years and play it most often when visiting family and friends. This version is awesome. Clean and works very well. It really is hours of entertainment and hilarious times, even with those friends or family members that are too cool to enjoy games. We couldn’t find the upgrade packets one night after playing for 10 hours over two different nights (snowed in and lots of drinking in the bitter northeast) but they showed up this morning. We couldn’t recommend a more fun game to play with groups of people. There’s thousands of words and surprisingly up to date with categories. Get this if you’re looking for a great time.
If you have ever played Catch Phrase, it’s the same concept! It’s a great game for parties or get togethers us and 3 friends even played it in the car.
If you like throwing bad parties, which consist of one tv, an iPad hooked into the speakers, and praying the guests bring beer for you… Then this is your app. Instantly transform the mood when all 4 of you start laughing and finally getting drunk. This app will do the trick. Also, comes with random pictures from Flickr which make no sense unless your trashed.
