Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

This game is wonderful. The music and sounds, the artwork, all give us a chance to recenter and just be present as we walk with a little wombat. Its best with earbuds. It may be meant as a fun game for all ages and it works very well on that level, but it also helps us with anxiety and getting out of flashbacks due to PTSD. We dont usually leave reviews(or pay for apps), but hope the game developers know what a difference the little wombat has made for us.

The most pleasant experience we had on our iPad this year. The art and storybook aesthetic are such a delight, and the game really makes us want to teleport to Australia. This was a great escape from the calamity of day to day life (and a great escape from high stress games, which, while we do like those too, its nice to recalibrate with something like Paperbark).

Great art and just relaxing smooth gameplay, wonderful idea developer, please keep game updated and make more similar games, we will definitely buy them.

When we finished the game it wont let us open the app again to replay or attempt to find all the bugs and things.

Have an iPhone 6. Played the game once and was beautiful. Tried to play again and it booted us out. Cannot open again. Tried to uninstall and reinstall and wont download. Waste of money.

We are an aspiring artist and this is art. We don't want to hear that crap about playback value and anything else. Just appreciate this game for its beauty. Thanks devs.

Nice game but needs improvement. Imagine being an animal which, when it wants to go somewhere, does not immediately move in that direction, but turns first to point itself where it wants to go, then starts moving forward. Dumb, right? Also very annoying to have to tap the screen every 1-2 seconds, because the field of view is so small you cant see more than a few paces ahead. Would be a nice, quiet game to relax with, except for these issues.

Ive been waiting for this to release since PAX East 2017. We loved it then, and we love it now. The art is beautiful. We love how you uncover the mist and smoke as the wombat walks around. The music is so relaxing and lofty. This is a great game to wind down with. It also makes for a good kids game, as it tells a story.

The visuals and audio are stunning. The story is fair but game play is incredibly short. We didnt understand that as we collected insects and such our counts for those items never went up. Appreciate it for what it is….. An excuse to watch beautiful graphics with terrific audio. Its not the story or gameplay that the focus is on…. And when its this well done, thats alright.
