Based on Better Chinese’s mister Piggy character, Piggy Picnic teaches colors, numbers, fruit names, sizes, and similarities concepts in Mandarin Chinese. 学不同的颜色,水果名称,大小,数字,和相对词语.
Through the 6 fun and interactive games, Piggy Picnic engages the young learners to continuously be exposed to these key concepts in Chinese and training their ears for the Chinese tones. 有六个不同的游戏,让你的小孩轻松有趣地学中文!
Additional features include different audio modes. Turning off the background music can allow the learner to hear the pronunciation more clearly. Audio options include “Chinese Only,” “Chinese + English,” and ”English Only”. These audio options provide instructions in their language settings to help to parents and learners during the learning process. These options can be changed during the game play.

Community Insight:
We have no problems with sound on our app. We have an iPad2 and have not yet upgraded to iOS6. It works great and we can even project it onto a whiteboard and show our students on class. We have used this app for teaching pre-K through 1st grade beginning Chinese language students. They really enjoy it and are learning at the same time! We would love more variety in colors, fruits, and sizes in the game…maybe include higher levels of difficulty in future updates.
We loaded this on an iPad2 (said it should work with iPad under requirements) and the sound does not work. We emailed support and have not heard back. Looks like a good app but is useless without the sound.

Yes the sound doesn't work for ours either. We purchased it too. Utterly crazy. Why does Apple approve these apps.
Fun game with cute graphics! Our 4 year old asks us to play all the time. Great way to practice Chinese. Definitely worth the 99 cents :).

Our kid loves to play this. We wish, though, that the options button & music button were hidden so our child can't get to them. We also would like more vocabulary. But overall, great app.
Certainly well designed. Our 3 year old would play on for a good 5-10 minutes. Obviously she is enjoying it while proudly picking up new words in Chinese language and a bit of numbers. A good way to learn.
Very cute game, but needs more. The numbers are too low and the vocabulary is very limited. Hopefully they will upgrade soon. We were done in 10 minutes… Needs to have more levels.
