Pip – RPG Dice is a Board/Roleplaying/Utilities game from Mystery Coconut, LLC, first launched in 2nd December 2008.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 100+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Pip – RPG Dice Stand Out
Pip 3 gives you blazingly fast, true random dice rolls, for role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons®, Fate™, or Dungeon Crawl Classics, and tabletop games like the Yahtzee® dice game.
It features an intuitive interface that gets out of the way, and lets you roll, touch, and organize your dice with ease, super fast startup times, unobtrusive sound effects, and the best battery efficiency of any 3D dice.
INTERACTING WITH DICE
- Shake the device, double-tap, or force touch any empty space in the page to roll. If you have a second generation or better Apple Pencil you can also double-tap the pencil itself to roll.
- Tap a die to lock it, tap it again to unlock it. Locked dice will not roll. Tap any empty space to unlock them all.
- Move dice around with your finger or fling them against each other.
- On iPhone and iPod touch, tilt your device right or left to slide dice on the page.
ADDING AND DELETING DICE
- Slide the tab on the right side of the screen to access a tray with different types of dice. Drag them out of the tray to add them to the page. You can have any combination of up to 20 dice on a page.
- To delete dice from the page drag them back into the open tray.
- To access Fate/Fudge Dice™ and Weird Dice (d3, d5, d7, d14, d16, d24, and d30), slide the tab farther to the left. If you slide the tray all the way out, the default dice set will switch back and forth.
- Close the tray by sliding the tab back towards the right.
COLORS
- While the tray is open, choose from a selection of eight vibrant colors on the left side of the screen.
- To change the color presets, long press on one of them to open the color picker. Close the color picker by tapping on the left hand of the screen again or any empty space in the page.
GROUPING DICE INTO PAGES
- Create up to 20 pages to save different dice combinations on each one of them. To create a new page, slide left from an empty space on the last page.
- Move between pages by sliding right or left from any empty space.
- Delete a page by deleting all the dice on it, and then moving to a different page.
- Move dice between pages by holding them with one finger while moving between pages with another.
IPAD SUPPORT
- Orientation changes, trackpad gestures, Apple Pencil… Pip works on iPad like a charm.
- Multitasking support in both Split View, and Slide Over. You can see your character sheet and your dice at the same time.

- 16 different dice types included: now with Weird dice (d3, d5, d7, d14, d16, d24, d30) to play Dungeon Crawl Classics, and a d6 with numbers instead of pips.
- Multitouch! Drag multiple dice at the same time in and out of the tray, or pull dice out of the tray at the same time that you change colors with the color picker.

The play action and dice selection is so versatile as you can select any number of dice, mix or match colors as well as hold and roll options. Very intuitive and easy to use. This has been our favorite dice app since the iPhone 3g. Needless to say, we're delighted to see an update :D.
This is by far the best dice roller we have ever used. Others are slow, or weighed down with needless stats features. Pip is clean, and truly random in a way thats elegant and convenient. Plus, the app itself just looks nice. If youre considering getting a dice roller: do it.

We wanted a simple dice app that still had the tactile satisfaction of manually throwing dice. This app does that! And its very intuitive: we figured that we could keep pulling dice out and then shake the phone to roll them all, and it worked! And we also like that we can use our finger to manually throw single dice. Thank you for making this.

So we have had this for many of years he was great at the beginning because he gave us exactly what we needed and after wow so many updates later it wasnt as functional we had never really had a complaint about anything but just something we felt that we had to complain about because we really like this app so we emailed them and we finally got an email today saying hey it works now so here we are re-writing a review if we did one from the beginning we will say if we were to nit pick we would say a lot more customization would be great but for sure a must get.

So thankful to have this app back after all this time! And as a free update? Thank you developer! Still our favorite dice roller. Bare bones and perfect- add whatever dice in whatever colors you like to a series of pages as presets- then roll. Amazingly simple and highly functional.
Fantastic app, but now unusable until it gets updated to iOS 11. Would love to see that happen. <edit>. Hooray, its back! Now we can get rid of that stopgap app we picked up.

It wont update on our iPhone 8 Plus. We miss our pip.
Aside from that, this is still one of the best Dice rolling apps we've ever found. Responsive when you shake your phone, satisfying clicking sounds of the dice hitting the board and other dice, easy interphase without bloat or unnecessary fluff, this app is keep it simple to a tee. After all these years, we still use this over all others.
Really great, but we desperately want a full res iPad version.
For those adventurers looking for an easy to use dice roller this is the app for you. Pros: we love the feel of this app. Dice will stop rolling once you stop shaking the phone. We love the fact that you can tap on the dice you don't want to role so you don't have to go back and forth to the dice page. Cons: we noticed that this app is a little glitchy when you have dice paused in the corners of your screen. The dice you roll will get stuck. Overall we give this app a 5 out of 5.
Very realistic but hard to shake an ipad each time. How about a button to roll the dice.
There's nothing even comes close. Great polyhedrol dice selection, color sets, and even multiple screens to keep different sets of dice at the ready on the throwing stage. But the visuals and sound of the dice, the way they move and interact…its so realistic its almost creepy! We don't know how someone accomplishes such a thing. Its just that impressive.
Very useful. It's great for rolling multiple creatures at once. Having a more advanced version with more table space and more color options would be great.
Versatile, simple, fast, efficient, beautiful. You can even create different dice set combinations and switch between them with a swipe. Get it. Edit: For the first time ever, we've returned to the app store to give a five star review yet another five star review. This has got to be not only the best die roller for iOS, but in our opinion the best roller on any platform.
It's a great app for those who want to just roll dice. The graphics are good. It won't add your roll up for you, but that's okay.
No complex formulas needed. Pure dice rolling, and probably the best one of those in the store. Beats every free app we tried by a longshot, and worth every penny of its 99 cents.
One look at other dice apps will send you running back to this little critter… This is the way it should be – intuitive and useful. Perfect right down to the physics.
These have replaced most we our dice. And we know a little about RPGs.
It looks and feels great. Three suggestions, though: make it iPad sized (as its small and gets jaggy when it's enlarged); make the little tab fade away so that it is (slightly) easier to see the dice; and maybe include some non-standard sizes, such as d2, d5, d30, etc. Honestly, though, it's a great dice-roller as-is.
Best and nerdiest dollar we ever spent, we can't wait to show up at the next game with this in our dicebag.

We love the way this app looks, but it sounds even better. It does everything we want from a dice program.
Does what it says perfectly with beautifully rendered dice.
Now, nothing's going to replace the feel of real dice in your hand, but this is damned close and a lot more convenient. As a GM, we can set a screen of dice for each monster before we start, then never mix up which ones we're using. As a player, having a set for your favorite weapon combinations and spells is just as nice. One screen for full attacks, one for when you're enlarged, and so on. And it means you can play on the comfy chair away from the table. Just sayin' Our only complaint? Our wife and we don't have an excuse to spend $20 on dice every year at GenCon anymore. Our decade-long dice addiction slain by a single app. It's honestly a little sad, but we're dealing with it.
Would be great if you could have marbled colored dice options and ability to create custom dice sides.

If you've ever wanted to roll a handful of dice without having to puck up a handful of dice, this app is for you. Beautifully done, and ensures no more four-sided dice in the carpet. A+.
Wow! If you are looking for a complete, authentic and easy to use dice app don't look any further. We would never have expected to get this excited about a dice app. We already had a free one that was pretty good but it didn't have a variety of dice. So we downloaded this one just to have the full spectrum of gamimg dice. And we are Wowed. No way to explain it so just buy it! Thank you for such a GREAT app.

A great app! We use it in class to help select student teams. A great buy.
Great app that is clean and smooth, however, the "review" page is entirely too annoying.
We've never been able to run this in IOS7. Simply crashes on launch every time, even after fresh reboot , reinstall, etc.
We got it to work on our 3rd try after crashing twice, played with it for 2 minutes and it crashed again. Couldn't get it to work again, even after uninstalling and reinstalling.
This is the best dice rolling app we have used.
This app makes it very easy to configure how many dice you want to roll, rolls them very nicely and gives you tabs for quick access to different saved sets of dice. When you need to frequently and quickly change the number if dice you need to roll (and not be limited to just 6) this is your app. Many mire features but these are what we need when playing a couple board games.
