As someone who loves puzzles, and is interested in chess, this is the perfect way to dip our toes in whenever we need a quick break. Game functions perfectly, delivers exactly what it says it will, and difficulty is varied throughout. Fun challenges too! Grateful this game exists. Great job developers. Airplane mode gets around the ads, but we paid the $4.99 just to support the team who makes this great game.

The game is very mindly using and helped us with some of our struggles in chess we enjoyed it.
We downloaded this game before a flight and we were instantly hooked after playing a few levels in the terminal. We also got a few ads so we thought why not? And got the ad-free version. Bad idea for us because we now find ourselves eagerly figuring out each puzzle with no breaks which has left us playing this game an unhealthy amount of time. The challenges that come every weekend are also super fun and we are addicted to collecting as many gold medallions as we can.
Like all free games its got some annoying ads but they arent too aggressive or pushy.

We wanted a way to improve checkmates with an app, and this looked perfect. Only problem – it doesnt show the whole chess board. IMO that defeats the purpose. The devs could easily add the rest of the board and it would be perfect, Id pay for no ads on the spot too.
Multiple occasions of your app freezing mid-play causing us to reboot phone and delete and reinstall app.

This game really helps us focus directly on the mate and checking from a different perspective than playing a whole game. You get to learn and play short games rather than a whole game of chess. Great game.
Ive been learning chess recently, specifically with Duolingo and YouTube, and this just helps us a lot. Its a fun chess puzzle that we always find ourselves back to. We only have one criticism, and that is the ads. Yes, they can be annoying, but it still doesnt make the game less fun.
Its just a bunch of chess puzzles, exactly as advertised. Ive read a lot of the negative reviews which only seem to cover the ads, but just turn off your WiFi/cellular and everything is great.
Its aesthetically pleasing to look at. Easy to play. Makes you think. Adorable. Strategic. Overall, great.
The puzzles have been great so far and very challenging. The only reason Im giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ads it serves cant be closed after displaying. We literally have to kill the app and re-open it every single time we get an ad. Which seems to be anywhere from 1-3 puzzles. We understand wanting to push users to pay for a premium ad-free experience. But this is a little ridiculous.

Need to add more levels. Once you hit the limit you have to start back at the beginning.
We havent paid for ad removal, but if its a one-time payment of 5$, this is an acceptable price as many of the puzzles are challenging for our inexperienced brain. The ads are a pain if you dont pay though, so we would probably uninstall if we dont purchase, honestly. Also hard to justify cost either way Lichess right there and waiting for your love.
Passes the time to consider possibilities of checkmating in 2 moves. Ads are annoying. Clues could also be better. Overall fun and pretty good.
It prompted us to review too soon to give a real review, but so far we feel like its going to be helpful towards our actual chess skill.
The game is fine but the ads are disgusting AI solicitation to porn. About to delete and move on.
The app would call it a checkmate when you beat the puzzle even tho it clearly wasnt. After the first few puzzles times we noticed multiple inaccuracies in what the app would call checkmates.
We like this app and enjoyed playing it for about 20 minutes. There are banner ads that display at the bottom that are fine. Every few puzzles and you get a full screen interactive ad. All of the ads would not time out and close; you have to interact with the ad. The other reviews are spot on with the positive feedback. The ads were too aggressive for us.
We were looking forward to trying this game – mainly because the chess boards had different sizes. Thats really interesting! Id certainly pay for a good app like that. We were expecting randomly generated puzzles here, based on the level you choose. Many chess apps will do that. But not this one. It forces you to slog through level after level until you get stuck. No thanks.
There are just so many ads in this app. Our god its more ad than game.
This is an amazing game for people who travel and like chess def recommend it.
Its great. Only request is to keep the undo option after a win, so we can review what just happened. Its challenging for us, a relatively inexperienced chess player, which keeps it engaging long after Ive given up on other games.

We very much like the game. Good for beginers to learn the skills. Good for those who know the game of Chess to hone their skills. Extremely ad heavy tho which is why we gave it only 4 stars. We constantly have to mute our phone while playing it to avoid sound distraction from the ads.
It is an amazing game with puzzles that actually helps Would be better if you can pick backgrounds or style pieces and personality puzzles for topics kinda.
We guess this could be useful for those interested in learning chess, but the strategies used to solve these puzzles do not translate to an actual chess match and will negatively affect your game.
