Dive into Pocket God vs Desert Ashes

It’s "Clash of the Titans!" Or, rather, "Clash of the Pygmies and Landians!" In cooperation with Bolt Creative, Nine Tales Digital brings you a new spin on their popular Desert Ashes turn-based strategy game, guest starring a powerful Pygmy army defending their territory. The Desert Ashes Landians have passed through a magical portal to the remote islands of Pocket God. The Landians’ victory over the indigenous Pygmies isn’t as assured as they think. Even with their futuristic weapons, the Landians face a resourceful foe armed with spears… who are in turn allies with head-hurling zombies and sharks shooting laser beams!

Play as single player with over 10 hours of game play, or as multiplayer with unlimited play! Level up your army and become Lord of the Pygmies!

We cannot fine anybody to play we internet.

We really enjoy this game: The only things we wish were in this game are a level editor and the ability to pit two AI’s against eachother.

Make the landians turn shorter.

Ok we all loved the original pocket god, journey to Uranus was okay pocket god comics were cool but this is terrible we started off the game and we still can’t get the hang of the controls plus it’s WAY to hard we sat bolt creative should’ve been working on update 49 instead of this crap (plus it’s a huge waste of money) 2 stars though because bolt creative did some amazing things with pocket god.

Not worth it you can’t customize your name the hard to control especially if you have fat fingers good luck tapping the buttons.

Our kids love Pocket God and we love turn-based strategy games, so we thought this might be something fun for us all. The first match or two were super easy, which is to be expected as youre learning the controls, but then it never got harder. The last level we thought was just our first boss fight but then the game ended. The objective for that level wasnt clear and neither was the boss, who was almost indistinguishable from an infantry soldier. We killed the boss because he was between us and the bases we needed to capture but it turned out we didnt need to capture them. Game over. We won. Wait, what? There is no enemy AI AFAIK, the enemies just spawn in response to what you have in a predictable rock-paper-scissors format thats easy to plan for. Once spawned, they run right right at you, which is also easy to plan for. So on every level we know what the enemy is going to do, how its going to do it, and where its going to be. Needs more levels, more troop options, more nuance to what beats what than a Roshambo that obliterates your enemies, and a better AI. Smaller, faster played boards would have also been nice. The (false) boast of 10 hours of gameplay is largely based on how long it takes to setup your board and advance.

This game is amazing! If you like Advance Wars even a little bit you need to try this game. Addicting single player campaign, skirmish maps, and multiplayer. We’re having a lot of fun with this. Thanks dev’s for mashing up two great worlds and giving us this addicting turn based strategy game. Loving it! Hopefully more levels/chapters in the future.
