A Glimpse into Puzzlejuice – GameClub

So you’ve mastered placing falling blocks? You can match colors like a pro? The reigning champion of your neighborhood at word games? Have we got a blend for you! Puzzlejuice is a combination of challenges that will put your skills to the ultimate test. Match up the colored blocks that fall from the top of the screen to generate letters. Take those letters and spell the best words you can to clear blocks before you get buried under the next pieces!

It takes a sharp mind and quick reflexes to stay ahead, but if you find yourself in a pinch you can make use of a variety of useful power-ups to level the playing field. Blast away nearby tiles with the Kabomb, mix things up with the Twister, deploy the Wildcard to get the letter you need to spell your word of choice, and more. There are 7 power-ups in total to unlock and deploy. Challenge the Core Mode and see how long you can last before the blocks overtake you, or tackle Zen Mode and see how high of a score you can rack up in 90 seconds. It’s going to take all of your brain juice to rise to the challenge of Puzzlejuice!

Arrange the Pieces: Blocks of all shapes and sizes fall into the field. Piece them together as best as you can!

Match the Colors: Line up at least three blocks of the same color and give them a tap to change them into a mix of letters. The bigger the match, the more letters you’ll have to work with!

Make Some Words: Take those letters you worked so hard to create and spell some words with them! Which words? It’s up to you, but if you want the best score you should think big!

Unlock Power-Ups: Unlock and make use of 7 different power-ups to help you out when you’re in a pinch. Explode unwanted pieces, smash away excess lines, freeze the incoming blocks, and more!

Multiple Modes: Play the Core Mode to see how high a score you can rack up before the falling pieces take you out. Want to play without the pressure of the falling blocks? Try Zen Mode, where the pieces will wait patiently for your move. The catch? You’ve only got 90 seconds to maximize your score!

You only get one attempt before you can play. Super lame.

Deceptive way of getting people to pay you $5 every month. Games kind of a mess too.

We loved this game for so many years and would have gladly paid an unreasonable sum upfront to have the game in its entirety on our phone. This pay to play bait and switch is an absolute turn-off. As another reviewer mentioned, we went from pouring praise for this game into anyone who asked what we were playing to harboring an intense spite for the developers. We similarly wish this wasnt looped into some subscription model. Not everyone who wants to play one game wants access to whatever else you think might be related, Im not signed up for Arcade for the same reasons and never will be. Unless it comes back as a solo app unattached to a sub service, its forever deleted from our phone and recommendations.

This was our favorite game, we’ve been playing since we were 13. This game got us through car rides, long lines at theme parks, doctors appointments, you name it. Easily one of the best simple games we’ve ever played, we got a new phone and suddenly found out we had to subscribe to have this game from now on, and we simply will not pay the ridiculous amount every month to play one single puzzle game. So, goodbye to the best game on the App Store tbh. We would even pay one lump sum of $20 to play this game, but not a subscription. Its just not worth it.

Id be delighted to pay $20 (one time) for this game and get no ads. Just keep it compatible with the newest software, and Im in. Its a brilliant game. But, heartbreaking as it may be, these developers keep pushing a subscription to the point that you CANNOT escape their loop of options of either subscribe now, or not sure. Ill never subscribe. We love original puzzle juice, and would pay for this game in its purest form, but dont sell our data and dont force a subscription. Terrible sell-out business model. So sad. Because the designers of the game itself did a beautiful job all around (mix of Tetris and a word search with links to dictionary when you pause. Beautiful concept. But sadly sold to soulless people whose only care is that you pay $4.99/month. Its unplayable for more than a couple games without subscribing now.

We would buy this game outright if we could. Instead we are Deleting it and finding something similar without a lazy subscription service attached. Maybe Ill just play more Threes instead.

Im so disappointed in these developers. This bait and switch is truly disgusting, yall.

Puzzlejuice is one of the very coolest games ever. It scratches your brain in all the right ways. Ill echo previous reviews, we would have happily paid for this game. One time purchase. Will never subscribe to a game subscription. Ever. You sold out, Puzzlejuice. The developer responses are canned and patronizing.

We paid for this in an earlier IOS. The version we bought doesnt work anymore, and they moved to subscription. Garbage.

You cant even play with ads. Nothing. You HAVE to buy the subscription thats $60 a year if you want to play this game. We love threes so when we found out the same people made a tetris/word search mashup, we were stoked. But we just want this one game. Not your subscription service. Just give us an option to buy the one game!

We used to love this game and we remember paying for it a few years back on a different apple account. We recent thought of it and was pleased to find that its now free in the app store. We play the game for a moment and set it down, picking it up one second later only to find we had just closed out of our free trial and we would now have to subscribe to a game service to continue play. This is ridiculous as we dont find myself playing games frequently enough to subscribe to a whole list of them. What a let down and waste of time. Wish we could just play the game because it really is great. Developer there is no need to respond because we’ve already seen the copy and paste paragraph youve posted to other reviews and we dont care one bit about the other games you have. Clearly its not about that.

This is a fantastic inventive game. We would totally pay to buy this game for our phone. Unfortunately, you can only play the game one and then it locks the game behind a $5/month subscription to some garbage game service. No apparent option to buy only Puzzlejuice. No play it but see adds (which is annoying, but we would have dealt with). Again, this is incredibly unfortunate. We really enjoyed the ONE time we were allowed to play this game. We would have happily dropped $5 for this game once. But Im not going to pay $5/month for a subscription service that is mostly full of what looks to be garbage to play one game.

They let you play one match than youre locked out until you subscribe, but you can watch ads for their game club until your eyes bleed.

This was such an awesome game we played it to pieces.

Never seen a game like this pretty good inventive.

Super cool game, we love the mechanics. Very much like Tetris and word search had a baby. And since Im inclined toward both, this was a gift. We played the tutorial game and it was great, we almost got a score of one million and we wanted to play more! But then, all the ads started popping up about getting a premium account to play and that just completely blew it. You might as well just put this up on the App Store for $4 instead of baiting players like this. Cant play any game modes, on any sort of difficulty. Our love for this game immediately turned into spite. Get this fixed, fellas. Otherwise, youre going to lose many, many customers.
