Like all the best games, Puzzly Word Game is easy to learn and difficult to master, the gameplay is simple but addictive, and the challenge is never-ending.
How to Play
When you play the game, you are presented with a selection of random letters in your letter pile, as with scrabble, and space above to drag those letters to form three words. That really is how simple it is to play.
However, the multiplayer challenge really makes this different. Each round lasts just sixty seconds, and as you drag letters into your word slots above, there are other people doing the same. You battle against the time limit, your own vocabulary and the other players all at once!
You do have help to beat those challenges though, in the form of power-ups that you can use at any time. You have three, the Extra Letter power up, which adds a random letter to your letter pile and an extra 10 seconds if you are trying to complete a word and the 60 seconds is running out. Finally, you have the Validate Booster, which checks the word for you during the game to make sure it's valid and will score.
Of course, with varying opponents, the challenge never ends, and Puzzly Word Game is definitely a word game that will encourage you to expand your vocabulary and keep improving to be the best.

We wish we could make larger words so the game could be more challenging..but its an awesome game! Ive been playing for over fifteen years now.
We truly am enjoying this game although we cant seem to get pass 3 crowns. Also the game has started us back at zero twice now and both times we have lost all our friends. This time we have not been able to recover any of them, we dont understand why this is happening. Emails from us are not accepted for some reason or cant be delivered. Dont answer us on the App Store, we dont have access to it. Thanks.
Why before or during a game the sound disappears?? Very frustrating when we cant hear countdown timer. All ads have sound, just not this game.
We are forced to delete puzzly words due to not being able to turn the ads off.
A few updates ago when it opens on iPad its display is weird.
We think you should do better with the rewards for winning.
We dont enjoy the game as much as we used to before they changed the way the letters come up and the double and triple word letters hardly ever come up. We also dont like the way players are not matched with players who have the same number of crowns.
Have played this game on Facebook for several years but recently got a notice FB is ending game option in fall 2026 so we got the app. The ads are ridiculously long. One game and then an ad that never seems to let us out. Not sure Ill keep this app its so annoying.

Coins are too expensive. Ads after every game. The skill based matchmaking is the WORST, Im being paired with absolute tryhards its not even fun.
This is getting tiresome. We used to just be logged in via FB, and be able to open the app several times a day, whenever we had a free fee minutes, and play a game. Now every single time, it requires login via a pop up for FB login, actually two pop ups. Tiresome. Please go back to how it was.

This is a really great game. You just reach for the best words all while trying to get the most points out of it. Its not just about the longest words its about putting the letters with extra points on them together. Great game.
The game says buy any amount of coins monthly to bypass ads. Now when we go to buy $1.99 in coins it will not allow you to. If you press any other amount, it works fine. Rip off.
We love this game but we dont play nearly as well as we would have 20 years ago. We get beaten by some darn good players, but usually only beat the mediocre ones. Frustrating! Its a great game that we spend way too much time playing.

This is the most awesome and addictive word game app there is. We play all day every day in our spare time and its very relaxing. And we love that you dont have to keep getting ad after ad. Ive played a million word games, but none as well thought out and different as Puzzly Words. Please dont change a thing.
We have left repeated reviews that seem to vanish about the lack of tech-support. We have sent three emails to help@puzzlywords and never get a response. Last night we came back to review again and saw where they suggested we send an email to them which we had already done twice and they dont answer! The review no longer appears either – none of them do. Why must these people play stupid games and waste our time? Why not just be accountable and respond to your users who try to spend money with you? DUH for 55. The take away from all of this is – do not spend any money on this app because if you have a problem, they will ignore you.

This is a challenging game played in real time. So many brilliant players out there who love words as much as we do! It took us a while to feel comfortable under the time limits. It's a process. Now we just relax and enjoy using the new words we've learned along the way.

Im so sick of this game crashing. Its almost every single game. Please fix this.
Extra points should be given when a player uses all of their letters in a round, AND when they spell the word of the day. Whats the point of the word of the day otherwise.
Right now if someone gets a big lead everyone quits. Not as much fun when theres no hope of winning. The game should add whatever tiles it would take to allow the lowest score to catch up. So each round, everyone is still able to play. Either that or allow people to quit instead of forcing them in the game for all rounds. The interface could use a serious facelift because it looks so dated. Best word game in App Store but could be better. Also the multiplier tiles need better distribution. After a game with several tiles, you know the next two games are going to be boring Ive started quitting every time its obvious no multipliers will be available. Not a lot of fun without them. It would also rock if you had a pro mode where whenever someone is done they can submit. At end of round adds points for order of commit. So if Im first we get 3 points.
So frustrating when you have to start all over again.

Why isnt Saturn a word? And Dixie is rejected. Our goodness, we never know until the end of the game. Im trying to enhance and broaden our words since we dont have to carry on a conversation or even write anymore.
Love love LOVE the game itself! However, the interface on the iPhone makes it impossible to play quickly because tapping on the letters at the very bottom of the screen frequently causes interactions with the iOS. Right in the middle of game play! Very frustrating, especially as game play is timed. Would have given 5 stars if the interface made the game more playable.
Thus is our favorite game and we play it all the time. Well, we did until the last update. Now the game won't open at all so we're forced to look for a replacement to get our word game fix.
. . . But we are sick and tired of losing the game because of absolute d**kheads who play badly and then flood the game with letters in the last round. Usually these idiots dont winthey just cost us our win to the second-place scorer. Often our mind has moved onto something else and Im not prepared. And that spoiler option changes the game from who is best at vocabulary and spelling to who is most coordinated. Im done with ithave had too many games spoiled by low-vocab morons.

We used to be able to play this on our older iPad which has a larger screen. The update we installed yesterday rendered the app useless. The page flashes the opening page and then shuts down.
WTH?! This is the STUPIDEST change the developers have ever made. We hate it! Please change it back.
