Community Insight:
Simple enough it's a variation on the word game Perquacky. You roll the dice and make words. The words are grouped by length and when you get 5 of a length, you get a nice bonus but the value for that length goes down. In the advanced version you get extra letters and time as you complete sets. Oh, and you can't just add an s to a word, but there are some transforms you can get away with. As for the devs, they've been friendly, responsive and now they're back. Because Apple doesn't keep your purchases when the dev stops paying we lost access for a while. But the devs found our old email and let us know they had updated it! Since we already owned this, we went and bought their other games. We're all happy here and hope word game fans will be happy too.
We love Perquackey; Quackery captures the game, perhaps even better than the original. Advanced play mode gives you more time when you get a great board, and puts you out of your misery quickly on a bad board. We also like that you get bonus letters every time you reach a point bonus. It makes it possible to keep going with more and longer words. The latest version makes the indicators at the top left side of the board display clearly, even on the small screen. It's now really easy to know when you've finished a category. This is a wonderful change, and that's why we've now given this app five stars. This game is now GREAT on all 5 of the we-devices our family owns. It's one of our favorite games of all time. Thanks for making it.
We're finding it extremely difficult to draw the line to the letters, frustrating.
It is as close to Perquackey as you can get on an iPad…we wish we could see how well we did on that roll compared to others…or to play with others on the web. But, glad to have it.
Love it! We love the board game Perquackey and this is as close as we can get! Plus we don't have to worry about not having anyone to play with.
This was the closest thing to perquacky that we could find. It's not bad, but would like the option to change the default time allowed.
We would really like this game even more if we could see all the words we missed forming before moving on to another set. Once the time is up the player does not have the opportunity to review. When you play the table version, your opponent can tell you the words you missed. Regardless, it is fun to play.
We are not as big of a fan of the way quackery doesn't do rounds (you start a new game every time). The game sometimes will move the letters that we are trying to swipe across. Also, we would really like a larger playing area to better keep ourselves organized (as you spell more words you start earning additional letters and you field of play gets full). Perhaps this issue is taken care of by playing on an iPad? Overall a good game.
Letters aren't as random as possible, but that's a minor complaint.
