Features include:
DUAL MODE
You can switch R2-D2 to operate under command or in autonomous ‘AI’ mode, when he will behave like the wilful astromech in the movies and respond to voice commands.
VIDEO/STILL CAMERA
The video/still camera in R2-D2’s head allows him to take snapshots and short video clips, which can be stored on your mobile device. His programming also includes the ability to detect human faces.
PROJECTOR
Just like in the Star Wars movies, R2-D2 is able to display holographic messages using a projector which can beam images of Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker onto any nearby flat surface.
POP-UP LIGHTSABER
As in ‘Return of the Jedi’ R2-D2 has a ‘hidden extra’ – Luke Skywalker’s lighsaber, which will pop up on demand from the pneumatic ejection tube in his head.

The app hasnt been updated so the local connect mode will not work. Only direct mode works some times. Since apple will automatically disconnect from any WiFi that is not connected to the internet. Bevy disappointing after a long difficult build to not baa able to use it very well.
It took us two years but was worth every minute. We love our little droid D 233 and we are already best friends.
It doesnt work like how am we supposed to control this thing doesnt work. The controller doesnt work. Our phone doesnt work nothing.
Had hoped for more automated functionality, like voice input and response. All in all its a great toy.
We watched YouTube demos after demos after demos and Im still stuck in square one. The alp is on our Iphone 8 plus so it should work but it doesnt even to to Bluetooth or anything. All we got is an robot that runs and soins and may say a word or two.
It does not work at all. App explanation is useless. It will not pair.
We mean it looks like a fun app but we try t with connect but no response and the app does not work unless the droid is conected.
We finally take the time to check to see if this app works 5/1/23 at 8:37 pm. Maybe one day Ill get time to put the batteries in and see how well it works without the app. Really sad the developers dropped the ball on keeping the app working. We wonder how its done because we would love to keep it working if it doesnt cost much.
We love it but it doesnt work for our droid.
App lacks direction. Settings has nothings under it, it's like they forgot to proof it before releasing.
We were extremely disappointed with our experience on this app because theres no instructions on how we are supposed to assemble our droid and how Im supposed to connect it.
We tried connecting it to our R2 D2 but for some reason its not connecting.
Are there instructions on how to assemble? Unable to find it on the app, so cannot use droid.
This app is worthless. Which thanks to poor design and over reliance on tech makes the whole toy uselessness. We cant assemble the toy properly, or maybe we can and it doesnt work, because the app doesnt work to access the instructions or use the toy. We will never buy anything from this company again.
Anyone can use works like intended no college degree needed.
We have a coustom built droid from galaxys edge and it wont even connect to it.
Failure out of the box. Its not intuitive or smart to get started. Then a lack of instructions… Im unable to actually use the device and now we have to waste time researching to figure out how to simply connect/pair the app to the R2 unit Disappointing.
