Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville is a Simulation/Strategy game from Northway Games Corp., first launched in 3rd September 2015.
It’s rated 12+ and currently has 455+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville Stand Out

It's been a few years since the zombpocalypse turned the world's cities into graveyards and sent the few survivors into hiding. Now you must gather them up and restore civilization to a ruined city, one building at a time.

Rebuild 3 is a strategy sim game with a good helping of narrative and dark humor. It's a thoughtful game that'll make you fond of your survivors before you send them to their deaths for the greater good. As you expand your fort to new buildings, you'll decide between farms or fortifications, housing or hospitals, and make tough decisions to fend off raiders, illness, starvation, and madness. And the dead are still out there wandering the streets, hungrier than ever.

This sequel to the "unputdownable" Rebuild Mobile (aka Rebuild 2) is much MUCH bigger. Just check out these features:

  • 4X style strategy and city (re)building
  • Endless replayability with randomized cities and events
  • Survivors with individual skills, perks, relationships, and stories
  • Rival NPC forts with their own agendas, friendly or otherwise
  • Campaign Mode, a journey through cities of increasing size and difficulty
  • Strategic fort defense and interactive attacks
  • Play in either real-time or turn-based mode
  • 5 skills: defense, leadership, scavenging, building, engineering
  • 10 resources and one-use items to find or craft
  • 30 missions: scavenge for food, kill zombies, farm, fish, trade, bartend…
  • 35 node research tree
  • 50 building types with unique uses and/or scavengeable resources
  • 70 types of equipment to find
  • 100 survivor perks: Melee Training, Green Thumb, Light Sleeper…
  • 200,000 words of event text – enough to fill two novels

This Simulation game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

This game is so addicting! Make sure you don't play to long or you will become a zombie.

Took us a while to figure out, but once we did we couldn't put it down. MUST. HAVE. MORE.

Rebuild is an ideal simplified 4x game. Fast paced, easy to control and with plenty to do and see. The game is pretty easy on lower difficulty settings, but can become quite challenging the higher the difficulty. There are also multiple endings to entice multiple playthroughs. Though it lacks character development, it can become quite easy to become attached to some of your more developed characters, only to have a freak accident occur and them wind up dead. We played through the campaign quickly and am in the process of playing at higher difficulties and attempting for the best ending. Overall an excellent little game that is well worth the time and money.

Great game so many things to do so many ways to do it so many paths to take and items to obtain. We highly reccomend this game.

We've enjoyed this game. We also liked the no in-app purchases.

Pick up and start playin this game. When you put it down, HOURS have passed. This game has made us tardy for many a party.

The only app that gets better than this is the next one they make. Rightfully earns our 5 stars! —(More below)— Try it for yourself, and you'll enjoy the graphics, story, simple management, and multiple choices.

One of the best phone games on the store. Definitely worth the cash.

The one-more-turn syndrome hasn't hit us this hard since the early days of Civilization. More than once we've stayed up an hour or two longer than we meant to because this game was so engrossing. That's both an endorsement and a warning.

After a while it gets more and more difficult which makes it fun. Our only complaint is it could use more content but there hasn't been a big update in forever. But there are plenty of small updates fixing the little things.

Don't listen to the guy whining about the price this is easily worth 5 bucks and then some. Fantastic game and a joy to play.

This is a great zombie civ game. There are no in app purchases. May you survive and prosper in the coming zombie apocalypse. ^.^.

Love this game! Insanely high replay value ***Update: please make the monkey blood quest less difficult. It is absurd to have to go through all that just so you don't get an ending that results in your death.

Make another but to where there are more choices.

Rebuild 3 is all about the strategic choices that you make, and at the end of the day there is enjoyment to be found. The problem is that that enjoyment is hidden behind a thick layer of tedium. You scout a building, then you scavenge it for supplies, then you clear it of zombies, then you take it over, then rinse and repeat for the next building. Well, unless the next building has a large enough mass of zombies that you need to send your combat specialists to clear them out, but you can't send them out because you have them garrisoned against a large zombie attack on your settlement, so you need to wait a long while until you can progress. You also won't want to take over a building if it has a recruitable survivor inside, whom you would try to persuade to join your settlement except your avatar is in the hospital for a whole week because he/she was bitten by a diseased raccoon while dumpster diving, even though you had them reading up on leadership books in your reclaimed schoolhouse. Or maybe you do manage to recruit the survivor, who turns out to be of a class that's useless or of which you were completely overloaded with already. Still, as we said, there is enjoyment to be had- when we finished the stage, we did get a sense of accomplishment out of it. Then we looked at the time, realized it had taken us 90 minutes to finish the stage, and decided that the small enjoyment at the end was absolutely not worth the time investment and all of the tedious gameplay that led to it. We would only recommend this game if you need to kill a lot of time and have nothing better to do.

It is a good game but crashes too much and we have iOS 9.

Was really excited for this game having really enjoyed rebuild and rebuild 2 on pc and mobile but was disappointed. There are some improvements we like random events, interaction with other clans, more gameplay. But some things we can't stand, Too much focus on character customization and stats while previous games focused on strategy and city build we feel this game was too much based on the citizens and the gui of the citizens on each building doesn't sit right with us it just seems too different of a game and didn't retain the unique building and zombie type game the previous games had.

This game is okay, extremely repetitive from city to city (Campaign Mode). Very little change in terms of strategy, difficulty, or story. You even encounter the same factions on a rotating basis. The developers should've priced it at $0.99 because that's all it's worth.

Do not buy this game if you liked any of the old rebuilds. Everything is so cluttered. What a waste of $5.

What a waste of money. Impossible to expand the town. Game play only lasts 15 min. Or so then you are overwhelmed. Zombies spawn every 10 seconds, and can move as much as 14 squares in like 10 seconds. You take a building and lose 2-4 at the same time. Survivors rarely spawn. We give this game 12 thumbs down.

We live this game, wish they kept the first games art style but it doesnt hurt the game much. Been waiting for ever for the next game. This one is actually long n has multiple endings. We live how the last stage is done. Caught us off guard. Can recommend game to strategy oriented people. Start with pause on turn first.

If youre looking for a classic game that has no ads and has actual gameplay than this is a good pick for you. It has an end of trading system as well as a nice story if a little generic at times. But if youre looking for something real, then we suggest you pick this game up.

We played the original on Kongregate forever ago and then got them all on Steam. Ive been playing this game on and off for years and its always fun. The strategy is good and it has a lot of replay ability.

Imagine a risk style version of this game or Rebuild lV. Hands down one of our favorite games. Bought it on every platform and have been playing since it was a flash game. Top Notch Stuff.

Dont suppose theres plans to port over the deluxe version.

We dont think we have been able to find a single game better than this in the 10 years since we first played this game.

Been playing this game since a kid and its still great! Our only complaint is we beat all 3 and cant find another game like this.. Please make a part 4 please! Best game we ever bought from the app store. This is definitely our comfort game.

Been playing since Rebuild 1 on flash and this is truly a perfect sequel. Very fun game highly recommend.

We think you could boost the game with just a couple quick updates like more options to keep your populations happy — we.e. A boost in happiness depending on the amount of diversity in food collected, diversity created from higher skilled types of players, more weather events and ways to build relationships, etc.

If you like management (SIM,RPG type) youll probably like this game.

We bought this as soon as we realized it existed on IOS, and have been pouring hours into it since. Its still so much fun.

Good game to pass the time, however where are the updates.

This game is so good we have been playing since we were 9 and have been addicted ever since. Our only problem with this game is please make a part 4 pleaseee.

If you like any of the previous Rebuild games, youll like this one. What we like the most about this spot in the series is the varied factions and story building (in the story mode). Sure it isnt cinematic, but it uses the format that started 13 years ago to make a really fun and challenging game. It surprised us in many ways, and is visibly the product of enduring love for the game and its community. Thank you Northway.

We remember playing the original so long ago and being so hyped for the third installment, but never got around to buying it. More than a year after buying we can still say this game is much better than most mobile games thats are out atm.

This building is not producing happiness and we dislike using the Church in the game. Please buff the bar :(.

Great game! We finally finished all three endings, we want more.

Need more options for customizing survivors. Would hope a sequel is in the works.

Ive had this game for several years and it NEVER gets old. Its soo fun and we love. We are patiently waiting for another.

Great game, better than rebuild 1 and 2. You do not have to end the days, its more based on time and you can low and speed it up and you can see the progression bars. Also you can see where survivors are and what they are doing. You can trade with factions like gustav and there are 11 other different factions you can destroy or ally with. You can see relationships between survivors, there are more research trees. You can see where zombie mobs are going to attack. Also it doesnt need WiFi. It helped us get through our English class where we did not have cell service. Great game very worth the money.

The amount of detail snuck into this game is astounding! We followed our Mayors journey not just across Canada, but through a long term romance and marriage with her faithful lieutenant, and their three pregnancies each resulting in very different stories. And then we followed her, still pregnant with her final child, on a quest for bloody vengeance when a rival faction murdered her husband, which wove perfectly and unexpectedly into the final narrative. We played the game blind, one level at a time over the course of months. The controls were always quick to return to mind. And upon reaching the ending, a slew of previous choices came home to roost. We know some people are complaining that the choices werent obviously important at the time, but we love that they faded into the patchwork of other choices made over the course of the game. We will never have exactly this play through again and that is something we can rarely say about any game. We will absolutely be playing this game again with a brand new hero and their brand new story as soon as possible. May they make new and unexpected mistakes.

We remember playing rebuild 1 and 2 on the computer whenever we had free time in the computer lab at school. We decided to see if it was in the AppStore and found this. We dont usually buy games on mobile but this is definitely worth it. The nice add ons for this 3rd game has all the things we loved from the old games and more.

Purchased this game a while back because we enjoyed the original rebuild game. Good time waster and always enjoyable. Sometimes we want to play a quick game and wish the developer could make the dialog box for survivors moves faster. It takes time to click through them and then assign a trait. A bit annoying, but nothing that really diminishes quality of the full game.

Ive loved this game since we first played it. And even years later we still come back to it and play it losing track of time and conquering cities getting just as excited as when we started playing.

Any plans for a redbuild 4 ? Haha wouldnt mind buying it.

Picked this up YEARS ago for maybe $3, and always come back to it. Fun, challenging, well-balanced, and tons of personality. Best of all, though, the Dev has maintained it fastidiously. The perfect mobile strategy game but can also hold its own on a Mac/PC (yes, we bought this on every platform we own). Support this developer.

Please make a sequel, this game is really good. There needs to be more games like this.

We liked it a lot, it is the first Rebuild we have played. But we dont have much clue of how to know how to win the good end. But, we will try to put more attention, we have read all, but English is not our first language and we dunno if that is the reason that we cant catch the clues. We have not idea how to get all the Research.

We love the is game its story and everything about is something you cant find anymore. Only downside is the actual gameplay can get repetitive eventually but its ok because the story makes up for it.

Our only problem with this game is when youre at a deficit in food production, it doesnt tell you how much of a deficit youre in. We would appreciate it if a meter thing like in the first 2 games was added telling the amount of food made per turn.
