Reversi is fun and easy to learn and has great challenges for beginners but it is also very easy to get good Good.
Im rated about 1800 so Im an inconsistent expert. On the highest level, if we make an opening mistake, we loose. It would be nice if it had another higher level.
Even though we try our heart out, we rarely win. We really enjoy playing it. Though. Its very challenging. Thank you for bringing as a very nice Game.

We finally found an expert level that challenges us. The other versions didnt show a variety of strategy like this game.
Ive played the physical board game Othello for 40 years and have only lost two games. On occasions Ive beaten the computer of this app as well. We noticed that some reviewers complained about the system taking more than one move. It has happened to us as well. However, we examined the moves. That is because we did not have a move. We had to skip. We do think it would be nice for the computer to first inform the single player that they must skip because they have no move. We trust that the computer is correct, but we like to look ahead as we would if we were playing a live person. There have been times where we had 3 or 4 moves and our physical opponent had none. But we gave our opponent time to review the board plays oppose to our just moving ahead and not telling them they have no move. A good app, but give us time to examine the board oppose just taking multiple moves one immediately after the other.
Love To challenge the game Sometimes we ask questions and if we can beat the game without cheating what we ask will come true If we lose same difference.
This is NOT Reversi. This is Othello. What is the difference, you ask? In Reversi, if you reach a stalemate, the game ends. In Othello, the game keeps going until the other player can play a piece or the board gets filled, whichever comes first. The difficulty of the NPC is incredibly hard, even when you put it on the lowest difficulty setting. Some might find that helpful if youre trying to learn this to play against someone who is good at Reversi. Others might find it way too frustrating. Im somewhere in between.
But a full screen on the iPad would be better.
We received a notification from Apple that this app tried to paste from our clipboard upon opening. App creators do this hoping to steal passwords, crypto key words, etc. Be careful and do not trust this game.
Far too many ads interruptions. Some are acceptable. But this is ridiculous.

Whenever we use Reversi now, we get a warning from Apple that it is trying to paste from our clipboard. There is no conceivable reason the game should have to do this other than try to steal your personal information.
The game should be fun to play and it isnt. Playing against the computer is too challenging (compared to other games). It is doesnt give us an opportunity to win even once. We understand how to play the game but it doesnt matter what we do the computer has the upper hand.
DLd this to play our friend in another state. It wont do that.
Have been playing Othello/Reversi for years. Thought we lost our touch until we started paying attention to what was flipping when we changed it. In one game we made a good move and the app placed two mii oh cues at once lol. That followed by flipping all the tiles except the one we were specifically aiming for. Actually pretty funny at the end of the day.
As you play ads will significantly increase also computer plays multiple pieces in a single turn when all solutions point towards player win much better apps out there.
Useless unless you expect to always have internet connection.
We understand that advertising makes the game free… But cmon!! We cant even get past this one.
On first launch it opened a full screen ad that you have no way of closing.
A really good game it makes you think even on medium to easy levels of play.

Hey Optime we found a glitch where if we are playing against a computer the computer takes 4 turns before we get to take our next turn it is vary unfair that a computer can get 4 turns and then we only get 1 Thanks.
We play Reversi on the computer, Im an expert on the computer but, the stupid expert on this game is impossible to beat and it doesnt even play right.
Forcing players or tricking players to view advertisements is Illegal trust us you have been reported.
Every game turned out the same. Played the same game on another app and won over half the games we played. We CALL Bullshxt.
Game was decent but after playing for a bit the app increased ad pop ups significantly to the point that the game was no longer playable. We suspect they did this intentionally to force you to pay for the ad free version of the app. But that isn't how you win our $$$. Before deleting ALL THREE of this company's apps that we had installed we were constantly forced out of the app to ads in the App Store about 1 every 3 seconds. Then when we would return to the app we would have to watch another ad as the game opened. Often the ads would stop our audio playing on our device from iTunes streaming or other apps. We would then have to go into that app and restart the audio. Then when we would return to the game we would have to watch their dumb ad again and it would stop our streaming audio again. Games are supposed to be fun. Not visits with annoying sales pitches that never end. This is a trash app company right now who doesn't respect their customers. We hope they make 0 $$$ on this scam. Sell of the games to a company that treats customers better.
Needs auto swap start setting to alternate between black and white.
Very smart software! The other othello games we can easily beat even on the hardest level. This one seems to think ahead and make strategic sacrifices, making for a challenging opponent.
The games is good and does challenge. The in line ads are a pain.

We just went back to playing this game after it was updated for iOS 9. It's still buggy after all this time though! Sometimes when you're presented with legal moves, you cannot place your piece and have to go back. New graphics would be nice because it looks a lot like an oldwe iOS game. Biggest gripe by far is the Game of War ad at the beginning. The ad doesn't even look compelling to begin with. But have you read the reviews for that game? Why would you support those pratices.
Good ai but game freezes. We would give it five stars if fixed.
As title says. You will see this ads EVERY SINGLE TIME when u lunch the app.
Don't buy the pro version. It doesn't save your games. Every time you run the app you start over at 0/0 (wins/losses). If the support staff would get off their buts and fix it, the game would be an easy 5 stars. Unfortunately, optime has lousy support which means you take a risk with any of their many games. Zero support equals zero stars.
We can never go in the corner which is how u win and sometimes the opponent gets more than one move.
We get an ad that streams video and won't let us exit the ad, you sure aren't going to get our money. Deleted all 3 trial games immediately.
It's great if you don't mind advertising every time you open it and having your scores erased constantly.
Guaranteed to crash on iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus. This is the reason that it is not worth buying the pay version. In addition adware insanely slows down startup in latest version.

We have always been a fan of Othello/Reversi, and this FREE game is especially nice to play. Good graphics, just like all of their other FREE games. FREE is also good.
