Perfect! Score games are an excellent way to pass time on a flight. Havent played online much yet but absolutely love the solo games. Keeps our skills fresh for in person games.

Beware the sub-routine which, we're quite sure, the programmer titled "terror mode". Whatever the configuration of your computer opponents or level of skill assigned, there's apparently a "trigger" ( we haven't figured it out) that sends the game into a horrible sequence of commands that obliterate any hope of winning.

We love this game, no ads and so pleasant to play, thanks to the creator , we gave us hours of wonderful spare time activity.
Need some options in setting to change background color and cards for holidays and such.
We used to enjoy playing this app. Once we reached a certain level of ranking, the hands we started being delt were anything but random. We have not received a playable hand 27 hands in row. Our opponent on the other hand has been able to open 90 out of 100 hands. It is no longer fun. The games last 3 to 4 hands with maybe one hand we can even play. NOT FUN play.
Very often… West, North, and East open almost immediately. As well, picked cards from the draw pile get played by these opponents nearly every turn. It would be nice to be able to curtail the statistical chances for these players and allow for a much less frustrating experience. Yes, winning more often would be our choice… On the plus side, this incarnation has a beautiful, highly enjoyable, very well-implemented interface. The choice of opponent player speed is a fantastic option. Update 3/3/2022 we play this game against the programmed algorithm exclusively. It has become ever increasingly annoying no longer feeling just challenging enough, yet enjoying an occasional win. Presently, we win somewhere around 1 in 50 games, playing against 2 computer opponents. The game is, in itself, well constructed – the mechanics and presentation superb. The sense that the draws and player responses are dictated by our every move – almost always to our disadvantage, has become too frustrating. Update 3/5/2022 we received a personal reply and suggestions from Antonio very kind to have reached out to us; we will try out the game using the advice given – we reiterate the complements concerning the exceptionally well-written code.
The game used to be a favorite but recently we cant even get the game to start or open without a crash. Clearly an issue that has not been addressed or corrected. Even deleted app and reinstalled it.
Not the rules that we typically play Scala 40 in America with, but addictively fun.

Can play online with others, or offline. Safe way to play cards with others without physical contact! We have been playing this game for a few years now, having been introduced to it in Italy. It is a fun rummy game that uses two card decks and wild cards. We play on a tablet and a smart phone. The developer takes great pride in his product, the Scala 40 App, shown by attention to detail in ever improving the user experience. If only all developers were this dedicated.

Secondo us bisognerebbe togliere limpossibilit di scartare una carta che pu essere usata dallavversario per attaccare a terra. Per Strategia Se l'avversario ha tre carte io scarto una carta che puo usare per attaccare a terra rimangono due ed difficile per lui chiudere.
A parte le solite carte doppie, deve vincere sempre lui… Quando io scendo e magari anche di 3 tris, lui si ferma si vede che sta rimescolando le sue carte , e ti fa chiusura in mano… Sempre… Se io scendo lui deve fare sempre di pi.
Why cant we play any more. All we ca say is you ruined this game. We use to play everyday now it is impossible. HELPII liked the old game much better.

We purchased this app for our iPad a couple of years ago so we wouldnt have to see ads. Now, since the app has been updated, Im seeing an ad at the bottom of the page. We have the option to buy an ad free version, but Ive already done that. Ive tried the Restore Purchase option, but am still getting ads. Im not happy.

We have always given this game 5 stars. But we really dislike the new format. Go back to the old format.

We have enjoyed Scala 40 for quite sometime now. Playing Scala 40 is challenging and fun. We only wish there was more of a community to play Scala 40 online live games. Being able to play against live competition more would make this game even more exciting. Maybe add some more fun options like different decks, and in game options (being able to pull from the discard pile if there's only one card on that pile), and having a resonate profile with names and emojis/pictures. Other than that great game.
