It’s rated 12+ and currently has 30+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Silent Gear Stand Out

Become an elite trained soldier in a grim military future world. You decide your friendship, love, war, betrayal, and above all, survival.

"Silent Gear" is an interactive sci-fi thriller by Lee Yuan, where your choices control the story. It’s text-based–without graphics–and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

With the constant economic downturn and conflicts, the United States had officially lost its superpower title in the year 2032.

Russia and China have risen together and created the New Unified Communist Party (NUCP); they have dominated most of Asia and parts of Europe in terms of economy and political influence. They are the undisputed new super power.

Without the support from the United States, the ISIS terrorists seized almost all of the middle east. The oil production in Saudi Arabia and other natural resources in the region are now all under ISIS control. They renamed themselves as Holy Islamic Liberation Organization (HILO). Their massive increase of wealth has a devastating effect on all democratic nations.

In a desperate effort to maintain balance, NATO has created the Augmented Reconnaissance and Operations Corp (AROC) to counter the new threats.

The story begins on your AROC academy graduation day. This is an interactive story with elements of romance, betrayal and survival, complete with a prologue, three Episodes and multiple endings. Your choices will determine the fate of your squad as well as your own.

The game also contains 4 mini games: Greedy Banker Dice, Cho Han Bakuchi, Gunship boss battle and Mech Suit boss battle.

• Immerse in a sci-fi military world based on real life political groups
• Dozens of sounds effects
• Different mini games throughout each Episodes
• Key items randomized in different locations upon each play through for replayability
• Two Boss battles that require some thinking and planning
• Survival of squad members dependent on a combination of the decisions you previously made

Community Insight:

You go on 3 missions. You just pick a choice at the end and nothing happens. Was fun. Tho we wont be trying to attempt other choices, all it is trying to be is a game you can complete within 30 minutes that wastes time. Make longer games.

Honestly, we dont know what to say about the game itself, since we mainly payed attention to the story and choices. Although, we absolutely loved everything, the story, the mechanics, and variety.

For some reasons ive completely destroyed lings BDS armor but she could still deflect our attack with it… Somehow.

We really liked this game. It was exciting and it played with our emotions.

We love this game but our only complaint is that it doesn't continue on, please make a sequel or something.

All you guys complaining about the boss battles are just mad that you can't beat them. We found out pretty easy to beat the bosses and we thought that this was a pretty good game. We were wondering if you would actually make the chronomancers plz. We're a big fan of these types of games. The storyline was pretty good but we're giving it four stars because of grammatical errors.

To summarize our criticism, this game has very creative mini-games and combat sequences, an interesting enough premise, and some cool world-building, but reading through dialogue becomes very painfully awkward early on. We played until just after the second mission. We havent played as a female character, so we cant speak to that experience, but as a male character there is not really any opportunity given for your character to develop a platonic friendship with the male npcs, or at least not up to the point where we quit. On the other hand, the two main female characters we had the chance to interact with have very one-dimensional personalities, and seem only to serve as sex interests. What we mean by this is that, very quickly, you know more about their body type than you do about their philosophies and motivations, and the dialogue is very unrealistic. This might sound harsh but frankly it feels catered to a horny pubescent boys ideal female interactions. Im a 30 year old guy, and we just couldnt feel an interest in playing this character. After your second mission, there is a female character who you have no option of avoiding. She is pretty immature and forward for a character who is supposed to be a highly educated and professional adult, and even if you pick the most hostile dialogue options with her, she is still coming into your room every night. If the premise of a story includes that you are playing as a man with low willpower and extreme sexual desperation, then this can be excused, but for this game its just really awkward and distracting. If the writer wants to make a story that involves a lot of risqu behavior in what is otherwise a story about being in an elite futuristic military force, thats fine, but we dont think this is how its done. Others have commented on the spelling and grammar but thats the last thing we would address. We just think the writer needs some outside perspective on how to write natural characters.

Boss battles are rigged where even if you destroy their systems they can still use them but if yours get destroyed you cant. Therefore the ai spams attacks you cant defend against but you cant do the same.

For the first time in a long time we actually cared about a game for more than 5 or 6 days, the characters are good and the story telling is amazing. The only problem was the ending, it was lackluster and didn't go with the rest of the story.

The story was absolutely amazing but the reason im rating it three stars is because of various spelling errors, the story didnt line up with the female gender character choice and(Spoiler Alert)The ending after you choose to kill selene was terrible and its obviously the real ending you wake up from a coma after Todd supposedly beat you which ruined the other two endings for us,at that point we realized that both endings never happened and yeah we know its a game but this was the first time we enjoyed a game like this just for it to end the way it did in the real ending of the game ruined it for us but this is our opinion and we mainly rated it three stars for spelling errors and again the story didnt really line up with the female character as well as it could have the characters didnt really acknowledge that you were a female in the first place and the love hate relationship with selene still felt like it was between a man and a woman and the way Catherine comforted you just felt like a woman comforting a man but thats just our opinion.

Started good, but boss battles are trash.

This game is absolutely amazing. The choices are awesome and the story is intriguing. The only problems are the frequent spelling errors and the battles can get a bit annoying but for free, we can't ask for any more fun.

One of the best free text games we've ever played.

Make another one. That cliffhangers got our waiting to see what happens next.

The story got us interested and the choice was amazing, but the ending made us mad,no matter what we do she dies,if the ending was worth our time we would have given it 5 stars.

This game is kinda cool because we personally like games where you get choices which is why we like Black Ops 2 more the the first Black Ops! But add on to it and we don't like it where you have to have feelings for Selene and no other choices.

This game is very entertaining and lengthy compared to other choice of games titles. There are a couple small grammar and spelling mistakes. The boss battles could use a little more strategy and less randomness. One of the best choice of games titles.

The storyline is short and ends abruptly. The biggest issue is the spelling/grammatical mistakes that are present on nearly every page. They are never major (meaning that you can still understand what they meant to say), however they are both noticeable and distracting. Also, the boss "fights" are lackluster, with little to no strategy involved. Despite these issues, the storyline is both interactive and engrossing. We were hooked, and we didn't put down our phone until we had completed the story. We just wish the whole experience was more polished. We hope for a sequel that continues the storyline and improves on past mistakes.

Make a sequel. We have a crush on Catherine.

The story was great and ran smooth it made you actually feel something for the characters! Our only wish is that it would be made longer.

This game has an amazing story line, with many different options to choose, which is great. They even give you a love interest, which is somewhat forced. Overall, gameplay and storyline together, it's a 4. We didn't rate it a five, because it ends abruptly with a massive cliffhanger, not even telling you what will happen next, and without at least a preview of the next one.

We loved the immersion but we were sad to find out that right when things could get VERY interesting the story ends! If you can make this longer we would love it! We mean we already do but it'll be a huge plus :3.

Great game only wish it was longer and more in depth with other character than Selena (sorry if misspelled) and the ended felt a lil rush to us.

Boss fights are buggy and unbalanced, stats and choices barely matter.

The story only lets you take a one way road. No matter what you did the changes are minimal. The ending was fine, it means we can explore more choices (MC knows what's coming) so it means a bit of Gary-Stu ish. Also the weapon selection seems unfair. In our first play through we only used grenades, anything else (other than the first few chaps) you fail spectacularly and it never gets to be used.

This was alright book with great promise and a story line that seemed realistic all around. However there were some things that really let it down: terrible grammar on every page, abrupt endings, and choices that were actually very uninfluential. It was alright overall, but needs either a rerelease or a sequel and major editing.

This book has its up sides like a cool story, good character development, cool choices and endings. The down side, poor AI fight mechanics, short story with abrupt endings (always our complaint about all these books!) Choices don't make much a difference in the ending, few but no major grammar issues. We'd go on but over this book is a middle of the road read. Good time killer but otherwise just barely average.

It has potential but doesn't capitalize.

Silent gear is a nice game with an interesting storyline, a good recommendation for sci-fi war fans. We didn't care too much for the mini-games though, they didn't add to the story. Nor did we see any rhyme or reason behind the combat system. The biggest downfall of the game is that there is only one ending. 3/5 stars.

We can't give it a good review because the first boss is way to hard for a "first boss".

We can't speak to the quality of the story, because the grammar was too distracting to finish it. Worse than the majority of fanfiction.

Good thing this is free. We don't think we even made it halfway through before deleting this. Nothing is done right here. The choices given to you here aren't even choices at all since there is always only 1 way to go about it. Doing things any other way nets you a game over.the story is pretty subpar from what we've gone through and the "romance" is just so forced that it was what really made us quit.

We don't know why this game has gotten so many positive reviews. The storyline is good, but the entire thing with Selene (even if your a female). We mean you should have a choice if you like her or not. The story just seems single-minded. And the entire thing with the weapons, the game doesn't mold itself around the weapons you choose (or your choices for that matter). We've played other games from this company and they have all been awesome games, but this one just seems like a cash-grab. Other people may not feel thus way, but that is their opinion.

Incomplete. That's the only thing we can think of for this. You can tell that the author put some thought into this game but the story itself just isn't very good and is way too short. Feels kind of like a rushed EA game. Bad spelling and grammar doesn't help either. And that second boss is complete garbage. We would love to fill this review with every curse word out there because of that 1 scene or whatever you wanna call it, but we don't think anyone would ever read that review.

The plot was alright but the game mechanics didn't impress us and our character dying every five minutes turned us off.

We spend two dollars that we didn't have to because we just had to play the free version.

This game was extremely boring.

If your gonna make a boss fight make it easy because we killed lings mech suit -25 hull but she won and killed us even though we got her first. The hint says she protects her lowest which is a lie it kept protecting other ones. If we attack and they are all at 100% it mostly says no damage which would annoy any one. MAKE THE GAME BETTER.

We would hardly call this a choice game. You can't reject selene, you have to do everything the "right" way it's game over, and the boss battles make no sense. It's like you can only make suggestions to your character, you aren't the one controlling them. Had you been able to go through another time loop to do the story again that would have been way better.

You can't get past the first boss. Way too impossible.

When a boss's counter things are at 0, they can still freakin use them.

We just want to say this is our first review for a game but If we could pick anything we wouldn't because this is a ten out of ten game that deserves more people to play it.

This may be a text based game but it is one of the best out there using vivid author like imagery to fully immerse you complete with multiple choices throughout the journey to decide yours and others fate and futures this game actually Had our heart pounding at twists and turns and found ourselves hoping certain actions to come upon certain characters we guarantee if you're into choose your own adventure kind of games this will satisfy you it leaves on a cliffhanger but they are working on another and you'll be craving it like us we promise.

We were looking for this type of game with quality dialogue and description. We have found that game. Keep up the good work.

Game was very well strung together, but the "fight scenes" in this game were draining and cumbersome. This game, just like a good novel, had us very interested. We wish certain decisions affected the game more and there were more possible outcomes, but it was a good "read and play" overall. 4 stars, keep em comin.

It has a good story, but there are a ton of grammatical errors.

The game good but it need some work the thing that we hated were the weird fight battle were really isn't that good at all the other is the soundtrack which is really irritating and lastly was the ending it didn't have any big climax. It felt like it just happen though there are good thing first is the romance a great emotional style with a sweet betrayal on the side in one of the romance character options. The other is the choices though they don't really effect that much in the story as you go but there are some that do make it interesting. Lastly is the characters in the storyline they are really amazing it does feel they are real people with there own emotions that make them who they are that is why we consider this game a [THREE (&half) STAR] not bad but not the best of the best in our personal opinion.
