Must have if youre a fan of tycoon games, cinema, management and Kairosoft games in general. This game is an absolute GEM! Ive played it for hundreds and hundreds of hours over the years. TONS OF REPLAYABILITY! So much fun and complex work! Love this game, ty Kairosoft.
As with all Kairosoft games, theres a lot of moving parts and very little is explained, but once you work it out its so incredibly satisfying. The only reason this isnt 4 stars is that it doesnt have a whole lot of ability to see the effects your choices are making, like in, say, TV Studio Story where you can design sets and make changes during filming. But otherwise, yet another classic.
We feel like the lack of money at times makes things a little slow, but its still fun.

We love the vast majority of kairosoft games. Game studios of this quality are few and far between on mobile. Definitely worth it.
There is just enough customization to make it really fun without being overwhelming. You can get creative and imaginative as you can do your own takes on classic films.

We love this game but there is a small glitch with the One More Time events were it doesnt give the points and the curtain just closes other than that the game is very fun and addictive to play.

We were having a ton of fun with this game, but as you level up the staff dont really get better. The director and scriptwriter all have stats above 500 and yet he cant complete a script beyond the first act!?!? Theres no rhyme or reason to it.
Im a huge fan of all their games but this is one of our favorites for sure.

Ive played most of the paid Kairosoft games and this one is not bad, but probably one of our least favorites. The game mechanic is extremely similar to Gamd Dev Story. Theres a lot of side scrolling, since its not isometric. It was a lot easier than any of their other games Ive played. Kairo games always have a lot of pop up notifications in-game, but this one has to be the worst. It does get almost unplayable late game, as another reviewer said. Either way its still fun because we love Kairosoft. We would recommend playing this only after youve played their other games like Pocket Academy 3, Dungeon Village 2 and Game Dev Story.
Has some difficulty at first but soon you can find out the combination of themes.
We love Kairosoft games, we think this is another great addition, we almost completed everything the first run, so hopefully they make it more difficult.

This game is such a timesuck in the best way possible, we often find ourselves disappearing for hours on end. Would highly recommend to anyone.

If youve played a Kairosoft game before you should know what to expect. One of the more in-depth games.
Playing our second round on game plus. Love the theme of the game, navigation can be overwhelming but the concept of the game is solid.
Get this game. It is awesome sauce.
It took us a little bit to get going in this one but once we did we were thrilled. The only good film sim out there as of right now.

And this is a fun one, although some things are weird. We wish we could adjust our team after Ive decided on the genre/theme. We cant tell who will be best before we see whats available to film. We also wish there were more genres.
We swear anytime Im playing a Kairosoft game, Im relaxed and off into another world. Feels good to build our own studio and the are around it, and it feels good to be in charge of our own company. Highly recommend this game to anyone trying to past time.

Can be a bit confusing at first, but once you get a handle youll be playing just like all the other titles.
This is a great game like all the Kairosoft games. However, the combinations to make a successful movie is not easily intuitive to us, so it made the game difficult to play at first.
Played for about 10+ hrs and am partway into our new game+. Still having fun.
This game is great, but how do you assign the staff. We hired a scriptwriter, but it wont let us assign him.
Has all the game mechanics weve come to know and love with some usefull and fun additions such a cut scenes. However we wish there was an option to turn off the cut scenes after a while.
Having been a fan of Kairosoft since Game Dev Story, we were easily hooked by the game play in Silver Screen Story. While Kairosoft games arent deep Perse they ooze charm and this one no difference. If we had any complaints, it would be that there isnt enough newness to it. The game is the old tried and true formula. Movie genres cost too much. Finally, our last complaint, the landscape scrolling is not a good way to represent the game. Apart from the above, this is still a must play for Kairosoft diehards. Now, we with theyd finally release After School Fight Club internationally.
This has the potential to be such a great game, and Im a huge fan of Kairosoft. However, the main thing holding this game back is all the interruptions. You cant play 10 seconds without the game stopping what youre doing and forcing you to watch a cut scene. Whether it is a film festival, your staff contributing to production, showing the filming, or a million other things, the game becomes unplayable in the late game. We wish there was a toggle for useless scenes.

Got involved with the game when house days came out and then we played the manga one and then the anime one and then we stopped and now In 2020 we went back and honestly we havent put it down all day 10/10.
Seriously, Kairosoft has outdone themselves.
Seriously we have loved Kairosofts games since we first played them. We always look for the puns hidden in the game what with character names and the like. This game has plenty of new fun characters as well as the tried and true characters that you can find hidden among the rest.
We love this game! The game play takes some learning but once you get the hang of it it is really fun.
At first we had a hard time understanding the game but once we got it its been good.
They are very fun and relatively mindless. Ive enjoyed everyone.
Ive been playing this non stop for 4 days, its epic and we cant put it down. Not even embarrassed that its making us spend less time with our family this Christmas.
And somewhat challenging. We love jumping into a new tycoon game, figuring out how to succeed then -following through- and making it. Im looking forward to seeing our studio as a multi-billion dollar enterprise… Heh heh.
We love all the Kairosoft games, although this one may be our favorite. The splashes of humor and almost recognizable names make us smile every time.
