On Your PC
- Download and install OpenTrack: https://git.io/JUs2U
- In OpenTrack:
• Set Input to UDP over network
• Set Output to freetrack 2.0 Enhanced - Do not click “Start” yet.
- Ensure port 4242 is open on your PC’s firewall.
- Find your PC’s local IP address.
On Your Phone
- Launch the Smart Head Track app
- Enter your PC’s IP address and port number (default: 4242)
- Align your face within the camera frame
- Tap Re-center to calibrate automatically
- Press START on both the app and OpenTrack

What else can you ask for? App does what it says its gonna do. You have to recente e it every once in awhile but theres a big recenter button so.. Like its literally lifting a finger. If you have an issue with this app, its probably your fault. :).
Had trouble at first. We tried to forward the port manually and it wouldnt connect. Once we deleted the botched firewall settings we restarted the program. Windows firewall permissions popped up, clicked allow, and everything work smoothly.
Windows pc tried using the usb connect function and it wont connect and there is no way to get a hold of a developer for answers. If they had customer support this would be a 5 star app all day.
Most of the time wifi mode works fine but sometimes its incredibly delayed. USB mode is also broken and doesnt work at all despite having iTunes installed already.
Wi-Fi mode works well but is too laggy on our network; attempting to switch the connection to USB mode crashes the app.
This is what little us dreamed of when seeing movies 30 years ago as the cool stuff only the future could bring! Works really well once you get it centered right and open track tuned just so.
Its moves the in game camera very smoothly but sometimes it glitches and starts spamming the in game camera left and right. Other than that it works very well.
It a great cheap option for head tracking if your looking to just try it out but it does have a good bit of latency and the center position seems to not want to stay in the same stop.
And another thing when we turn our head left we have to turn it so far that we cant even see the tv anymore because we have to turn our head to far.
If we were looking to pay for a face tracking setup for flight simulator games we would buy a trackir setup. The reason Im using free applications like open track is so that we dont have to pay but when theres a five minute time limit and a eight dollar price just be able to use this, it defeats the purpose. Otherwise it works well and is a great addition for a budget flight Sim setup and many of the issues can be fixed with a bit of tweaking in open track.

Windows 10 wont open the port necessary for it to work! Useless.
