State of Survival Dev Feedback 20 11 2021

Welcome to Developer Feedback time. We have share some info about recent changes as well as future developments plans, updates and changes that will be implemented in-game, State of Survival soon. Let’s learn more about the latest changes and development of the game.

We would like to share some info with you about recent changes and future optimization plans.

Fortress Rewards progress update

  • Fortress Reward’s improvement is now in the testing stage.
  • If everything goes well, we will release the improved rewards in the next update, v1.13.70.

Changes to Generation 8 Hero

  • Hank Based on recent community feedback, we have come to realize that the Hero “Hank” tends to make troop strategy monotonous, which goes against the goal of increasing the variety of combat strategies available to players.
  • We have therefore decided to make the following adjustments to Hank’s skill “Roundhouse Slice”.
  • Previously: Every time Hank took damage, he hit the source of the damage to inflict 50% of his Attack. Now: Every time Hank takes damage, he will land a counter-attack, dealing damage to his current target equal to 75% of his Attack.
  • Under the old Hero skill mechanism, as an Infantry Hero, Hank usually received damage from enemy Hunter/Rider troops and fought back against them directly.
  • This often had a large influence on players’ troop-type matching battle strategies.
  • After the optimization, when Hank receives damage, he deals damage to the targets he is currently attacking—which will likely be enemy Infantry troops on the front line.
  • By introducing this change, we are aiming to balance Hank’s battlefield performance and increase the range of battlefield strategies available to players.

Discussion regarding the new Reservoir Raid rules on PTR

  • The reason we wanted to make this change was that according to the Reservoir Raid history data, sometimes even if both sides were equally matched, it would not necessarily result in a close game.
  • Therefore, we want to introduce this new mechanism to bring more tension, strategic depth, and unpredictability to the game results.
  • Based on PTR test results, the feature has had positive effects on the match: for Alliances with close raid scores, the final point tally at the game end was very tight, and the overall game was tenser than before.

Future optimization plans:

  • Based on the general healing pressure that everyone is currently under, we will reduce the rate of serious wounds caused by Infected attacks on the Central Reservoir to light wounds.
  • In the normal Reservoir Raid battle, march acceleration can’t be used on marches sent to gather water, you will however be given an additional dedicated march queue to gather water.
