This is an awesome game to pass the time but after years of playing this game suddenly today it is playing background music. We looked at settings and sound effects is off but still we hear background music without anyway to turn it off. Extremely annoying.
We like SpellMania , it helps to relax us.
No nonsense in this app- you get a 4×4 letter grid, and you get after it. Has hints and a rotate button. Exactly what we want! Highly recommend.
We do love this game and have played for years. Its the best of the bunch since the loss of quordle. However we take issue with a few of the really obscure words. Some are even wrong! See: trapes, for example. It would be helpful to have a toggle that removes truly archaic or obsolete words from the dictionary. Additionally based on some of the definitions, Id suggest perhaps a different dictionary, but thats secondary to the words well never know, learn or use. Also, CEO, DNA , asci, and a couple of others that escape us, are not words.
Please allow words over seven letters. Its so frustrating to find a word that is over seven letters and it doesnt count. Its the only thing keeping this game from 5 stars.
Will there be any puzzle updates? Ive played them all.
We downloaded this app when we discovered that boggle no longer worked on our phone. It is a great app but there are some drawbacks, like the 7-letter word limit. That is annoying because we have found some really long words and its so disappointing when it doesnt work, which is why we took a star off.
This used to be the best word game for increasing your vocabulary but it is ruined by obnoxious ads. Sorry. We are not going to pay for no ads to just play this game.
Is this American English? The word arial is not on the list! British spellings of words, however, are. And whats with obscure names of currencies from around the globe? Super frustrating to have never completed a puzzle.
We agree that this game is addictive, but it is also pretty annoying. Ive come across a number of common words that werent accepted, like: erase, erases, eraser, retort, and many others. An up-to-date dictionary would be a welcome addition.
Fun game but uses wiktionary and not a real dictionary. Incredibly frustrating. Ugh.
The Bloodlines game commercials shown on this website are beyond disgusting. Anything for a buck, huh.
Ive played SpellMania for years and love it. All of a sudden theres an update that changes the entire game. This isnt just a bug fix or a faster version; this changed the entire way the game is played. It is now identical to so many others. If we wanted a different game then we would have gotten it. We dont. Im seriously disappointed. We would never have gotten the app if was what it is now. Im so upset Im going to delete the game.
Truly a challenge to get all the words. If you love challenges while also learning this is your game.
Fun but hard. Kinda annoying how you can only do 2 classic games at a time.
A fun app, but it quietly uses audio and drains battery even when the sound is set to off within the app and the phone is silenced.
The obscure and stupid three letter words are just annoying. No pleasure in randomly selecting words like dui and ano.

We understand excluding offensive words, but SpellMania's lexicon is missing too many legitimate words. Alit is a word that you missed. And why the 7 letter limit? The player should get a bonus for longer words.
Excellent word game; the best. Fewer ads than most other games. Challenging, lots of puzzles, different ways to play; rotating board. Best game Ive played like this.
This is the best app for fun word games. When we cant sleep, when riding in the car, it is the best.
Overall it is a good game, but there are too many foreign words not in ordinary use, at least in North America or in any literature that we have encountered (like monetary units of Nee Guinea); chemistry terms; and technical scientific terms. But technical terms other areas (law, Christian theology, etc.) dont count. We would expect that because many of the words are Latin or Greek. But since the letters of the Hebrew alphabet DO count, you wonder whether the word list is more or less random.
Lots of fun. Challenging game. We love the mental workout. We do wish that all the games had a word list of the words already found visible during play or that the words found in the game were displayed in alphabetical order.

This game is a lot of fun. You learn so many new words.
Our two qualms with this app are 1. You cant change the time for a timed round. And 2. The rounds feel kind of easy, Im practicing for GamePigeon and these boards feel much easier than the ones there.
Fun word game on its own. However, theres no way to reduce the time limit after youve unlocked additional time. Its a little silly, but we mostly wanted this to practice for the Word Hunt GamePigeon game, and since the time limit gets so generous so quickly, its hard to do that effectively.

This game is challenging and addicting! There are some spellings of real words that are not included in the dictionary. This is s fun game.
We have really enjoyed this game, and like others, we have found it a bit addicting. But there are several major problems and we often find it frustrating as well. 1) The puzzle includes some unexpected spellings that dont appear on any of the crossword puzzle solving sites when you get stumped. 2) Definitions given are only for the root word (singular, present tense, etc.), even when the spelling needed for the puzzle is a plural (-s, -es), past tense (-ed), agent (-er, -or), etc. 3)The clue definition offered is often one of the least common or least expected for the word (little or no help), and sometimes the definition shown after the word has been correctly selected, is different entirely from the clue that was given. Oddly, definitions appear verbatim in a Google search, prompting worries that copyrighted materials might have been used without permission.
Literally have a five second ad for every two games. We also wish there were more games with under 100 words. Too many ads.

The word combinations vary noticeably from one game to the next which keeps the game fresh and challenging. We especially like how success is rewarded with increased play time.
Always like this game. It it simple without the bad ads flying up. What could anyone want.

We like to solve missing word parts. The definitions were an added bonus.

We keep looking for a randomly generated boggle type game. This does not appear to be one either. Too many repeat words in the many different games we play, which we then have memorized and it makes it no fun.
This is lots of challenging fun for any word game lover. Helps us learn more new words and defines all words. Great way to spend idle time learning.
There used to be many more games with 100 words or less. That gave you a fighting chance to get them all. Now, the typical game is maybe 170. They just want you to buy clues. No, thanks.
