Community Insight:

Really great game, our only problem is that theres not enough of it! Hopefully with updates there will be more story and more areas to explore.

Crescent games does a good job of making solid games that are fun at their core. Want a space ship combat game? This is it.

Well thought out and fun to play.

Whats even more amazing is that developers are continuing to update a d support this great game, thank you.

Decent shooter for mobile. Story could use work.

After years in game support limbo, nice to see it come back with a bang. Hope it continues.

Designed for exhilarating game play with a companion and story line only one could fathom of experiencing a great beginner to a never ending adventure of ups downs and turns.

Kool game with a pretty good storyline and we really the fluidity of the space dogfights.

Highly recommended to fans of the genre. It has everything a good game needs. Its free of in app purchases. Also appreciate the new update and support from developers.

Crescent Moon Games had a sale on some of their games over Christmas, and we were interested in this one. Im a big fan of Galaxy on Fire 2, so we were hoping for something similar. Subdivision Infinity is a much smaller scale game, mainly focused around shooting. This it does very well. We were using a PS4 controller, and it was a lot of fun tackling the missions. The graphics are also great and on a par or better than GOF2. The missions themselves were quite samey, mostly involving shooting a few waves of enemy ships. Perhaps the most interesting involved first taking out a set of shield generators that then enabled you to take on the gun turrets of the space station, all while being periodically attacked by enemy ships. As the game gets tougher you have to upgrade your ship and weapons, which requires money, gear crates and minerals. For these you have to do mining (separate from the missions) and free-hunt. It was a bit of a grind at times, but OK. It helps that each day you get free drops of money and crates, and there are daily and goal-based rewards So, not a GOF2 killer, but an enjoyable game for space-shooter fans. Although its 6 years old, it still plays very well and we didnt notice any glitches. Its also optimized for the iPad Pro screen.

Hello CMG Developers Playing on M1 MacMini MacOs Ventura 13.5 Game not working properly Needs to be updated. Please fix Only 3 Star Rating for now.

Landscape, play with tilt or not. Love those this game is set up. Peace.

Decent game mechanics, lots of swirling space battles. Story line keeps it going.

We got coins to review this to upgrade our ship and weapons.

Great Action and Fun! Love how our SHIPS NUMBER IS 17! Best space based game Ive yet to see! Best $4.99 spent.

Seems interesting good gameplay.

If you love shooters this is the game Im just getting started and we are hooked on the game play and the strategy you have to come up with to win battles.

We got to say its pretty freaking awesome.

Beautiful visuals, physics that are realistic without making maneuvering impossible, and generous rewards that make ranking up fairly accessible. Who could ask for more from a spaceship game.

Even though we understand that there was supposed to be additional content, Im enjoying the game immensely. We spend most of our time mining and chilling out and progress the story for a change of pace. Would love to see the game updated with the promised content, but it really is great as it is, especially with no iaps.

Giving this 5 stars cause they bribed us with more coins. Lol.

The game is awesome but if u play for a bit the joystick dosnt work.

Updated Review: (05-04-20) we finally beat Subdivision Infinity and we have to say that we still believe that this is the very best space shooter on iOS, bar none. Our only hope now is that, Crescent Moon Games, will release the "Outpost Hano-16" expansion, that is shown in the game. Before we beat the game we actually always thought that was a playable area. But, it seems the developer never got around to finishing that part of the game. Or, like we said, maybe it was supposed to be a DLC expansion of Subdivision Infinity, we're just not sure. But, because this game is awesome in our opinion and the fact that it was sold ethically and morally for one fair price, with no greedy and stupid micro-transactions or subscription garbage. Well, we'd be more than willing to make an in-app purchase at least for new content if they ever sell it. We mean, honestly we'd prefer if the "Hano-16" content was just released in a normal update please. But we have no aversion to spending another $1-$6 buck as a one-time payment if it means we will have new content to play in this rad space shooter. We love this game that much and was always so very grateful and appreciative that you guys didn't fill this game with IAPs and ruin it, thank you for that. But we will make an in-app purchase for new content without the slightest hesitation. Sadly, though, this title hasn't received an update in over a year it appears. So, we're not sure if the developer has moved on to other titles they offer and have given up on creating new content for Subdivision Infinity. We guess with over a year and no updates it doesn't look too likely that the "Outpost Hano-16" expansion will ever see the light of day. Yet, we'd still like to ask Crescent Moon please to give some thought to and please consider releasing new content for this title. We can't imagine that we're the only player of the game that is wanting new stories to play, new ships and weapons to buy and just new anything. And we also doubt that if you guys decide to charge another one off fee for some DLC, that we'd be the only person willing to buy that. So, please don't give up on this game, we implore you. Subdivision Infinity, is one of the very few quality iOS space shooters in our opinion, pretty much the only one actually we think. And while we still enjoy playing Free Hunt every day. We'd still really appreciate any new content that you'll release for this game please. Heck, we'd even be grateful just for some new weapons or ships to use in Free Hunt. To see if we could beat our 5-minute record of 178 kills, hehe. So, again, please don't give up on this title and we players who love your work. Thanks and God bless. Hope everyone at Crescent Moon is staying safe and healthy during these bonkers times too. Original Review: we're enjoying this space-fighter video game a whole lot so far. In our opinion it has top-notch production values, a decently interesting story line, great combat graphics and physics gameplay features, superb sound design and just all around we believe it's a really fun experience. We did have to turn our flight steering sensitivity pretty much all the way down to zero to be able to control our spaceship, though. Not a huge deal, but just thought we'd mention it. And also, the reviewers lamenting about how you cannot invert the spaceship pitch, well, that is just entirely incorrect. All it took for us to find the Invert setting was to go into the Options menu and it's sitting right there. We know doing that must be a lot to ask from today's spastic youth, though, hehe. But, in the end, the main reason we gave this what we find to be, great game, a full 5-stars. Is simple really. It's absolutely because of the fact that this title isn't ruined like pretty much every other game, with in-app purchases, advertisements, timers, energy and all of that other bull-excrement. So, we want to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to, Crescent Moon Games, for having proper morals and proper business ethics and for not ruining this great title with greed-driven micro-transactions. Paying once for a title should always be enough in our opinion and we're glad that there is a small minority of developers who still have the scruples to agree with that sentiment, thank you very much. Just please keep it that way and please don't go adding greedy in-app purchases later down the line. Or, our 5-star rating will instantly change to the default 1-star rating. Thanks again for this game, the time and hard work no doubt put into building and refining it, for not being greedy pigs and God bless.

Fun game… Better with a controller.

First off, we really love GOF2, and we come back to it every year or so for a few more full playthroughs. But this is an extremely well made game, and we think we'll enjoy it for years to come too. We're less than halfway into it now, but we can already say that it is as fun as GOF2 was. It's not open universe exploration like GOF1 & GOF2, but you can take a break from the missions to go and do free combat for rewards or mining for resources and funds to upgrade your ship systems and weapons, or search for the multiple blueprints and resources needed to craft special ships. The mining is actually fun (unlike GOF2), and a good way to practice maneuvering to get the feel after new ship purchases or upgrades. Likewise, the "Free Hunt" combat missions are great to just jump into some dogfighting for resources and significant monetary rewards, with nothing lost if you die a few times in the hunt, you just end up gaining a little less while you respawn. It's good fun. The ships are WAY better designed and realized than in the GOFs. We're enjoying buying and upgrading them, and purchasing the extra "pirate outfitting" on some. This is also a more realistic space-combat sim than GOF2. If you think about how it would be to actually engage in space dogfighting, you might enter into it with the right perspective. High speed, momentum based maneuvers can leave you struggling to turn on an enemey ship, while reducing thrust and pulling hard around could give you the advantage. Also, if you hit something, like another ship or asteroid etc, guess what…you could die, unlike in GOF2, which always bugged us. To be able to handle harder missions, you actually need to get a more durable ship. No swapping out your armor and shields to become semi-invincible against the average opponent…armor is integrated to a ships hull, and realistically you can't just swap it out. If upgrading the ship doesn't do it, then new weapons might. And you will probably need to upgrade each of the weapons themselves to higher levels of performance. If you think about the game this way, it goes way deeper than GOF2 ever did. There are daily gifts and rewards for various tasks and upgrades that keep you coming back often, with no more real life money spent! !Hear that Fishlabs and Bethesda? We hate the new trend of "pay to win" and "pay to upgrade" in many games today…GOF3 and Blades are both nice looking games, but looks aren't everything…we find both of them quite boring, just following each mission and being prompted to spend more RL$ on IAP "special offers", while having zero control over the pace of the game…anyway… Subdivision Infinity comes back to the basics of a well made space game which is actually super rewarding to play and win the upgrades. It's not as deep when it comes to story as some others, but we don't find that this detracts much from it. It's really a well made dogfighting game, with a nice variety of ships and weapons upgrades. Oh!! It's also much better looking than any other space game or flight combat game that we've played. It's just gorgeous. The controls are nice and tight too. Thanks so much for this great game! Cheers.

Really enjoying this as of yet.

We like the flight mechanics and its fun.

Is good game. Very fun. Download now. #notsponored.

Just a few hours in and loving this game.

It is a very good game, we just wish it was longer.

This is a surprisingly great game. There are few apps let alone games that we spend time writing a review for but this one is definitely worth it. One of the only games we'll keep on our phone even after beating it.

Challenging, but lots of fun. Rare find; pay once and done.

This game is great for all those who are into space dog fight. In free battle its like being in a star wars fight. Its freaking awesome.

We loved playing this game. The problem is now that Im done we cant find other games at this level without all the in app purchases which we hate.

Easy to replay. Love the controls.

Im way past midpoint on the game and loving it so far. Yes, it does remind us of GOF2 but so what. The game is fun to play! The graphics is stunning and the physics engine is great (you can overshoot your destination if youre going too fast). Note to the developers, we paid for GOF2+expansion packs on iOS. We also paid for GOF2 HD + expansion packs on Android AND iOS again just because it was that good of a game. BUT we did not spent a single penny on GOF Alliance and GOF Manticore because they werent worth it. So PLEASE dont go that way. Create a loyal fan base and just keep adding expansion packs and gamers will pay for it. Expand your universe, add in more features as you update the game, and again fans will pay for it. Thats all folks and Im looking forward to the next chapter.

If youre looking for a more casual shooter, this is the one. Daily objectives keep the game fresh.

This game is a lot of fun, if you like Galaxy on Fire then this game is right up your alley. Graphics are good, the story isnt bad at all. The best part is no ads or micro transactions.

(Dont confuse it with galaxy on fire 3… Thats trash) Its not as open as GoF2, but is still fun nonetheless. If you like GoF2, then give this a try.

Has a nice progression pace to it with no in app purchases.

Freelancer was, for a VERY long time, our #1 space combat/open world game with an amazing storyline. Im not far into this game and Im in love. Our favorite part? Putting in our AirPods and turning up the volume, the music in this game is every bit as impressive and enjoyable as the game play. 5/5.

Not quite GOF but a great substitute.

The things with these space games on mobile is they are always really crappy, or its online but needs super powerful connections and drains battery fast. Its pretty fun and just what we were looking for. The story is just a bit short and we hope they add more in the next update.

Nice space sim shooter. Sometimes things get hard, but you can either keep trying or just earn some money through mining and buy some better weapons and shields.

All of your friends will like it.

One of our favorite space combat games. We like it because it supports the Nimbus MFi wireless controller so well, we can actually play this game with ease. Most space combat games using a controller are hard for us to play, but this game works superb with a controller! As far as the game goes, it has console quality graphics and gameplay. One of the best iOS games IMO! You are able to grind to get ore and money to purchase ships, weapons, upgrades, etc. There are many ships and weapons to buy. The game could be deeper, but it is geared towards fast, fun gameplay! Looks like a lot of content and replay-ability! Excellent game! BIG KUDOS to the devs.

GOF was ruined by FishLabs but luckily we now have Subdivision! We havent played long but Im already glad we made the purchase! Recommend you pick it up, especially if your are/were a GOF fan.

We love old space shooters like descent 3 and such . Brings back memories , enjoy it.

This is a great game. We would happily pay for an expansion that got more levels, ships and upgrades. Free roaming like in gof2 would be great. Also could use some variety to ship characteristics. All the ships behave the same, youre just upgrading for stronger shields and weapons. But very well done.

Avery engaging game. Great graphics. Cool story line.
