We like the navigation features – numbers of interest are lit up.
We think its the best one there, but there is still a few bugs. There may be more than one solution and thats where the error seems to occur most. The other that occurs, your solution may be correct however the order which you enter will give you a mistake.
With the latest update (3/12/2024) our view is only the large print version. Its not selected under settings, but we cant make it go back to regular view.
Too long and xing out is not available terrible.
We get that you have to use ads when people download for free but we assure you, when we are trying to consider buying YOUR app, which we were willing to do, and evaluate the interface, etc, having to wait 15 minutes between games just makes it probable that we will delete it. This doesnt serve your ultimate purpose, either.
We have used this app for over 10 years and its our go-to game for any time we need to kill. Typically a game or two every day when switching between tasks, and then for about an hour every night to wind down. Ive completed over 1600 games according to the achievements section, and strictly play on an expert level. We only say all of this to convey how much this game has become entwined in our daily routine, and specifically THIS app with THIS version of sudoku as Ive tried many others and didnt like them. Just a bit ago, today, 9/7/24, we mistakenly hit to update this app thinking it would just update some behind the scenes software issues. Instead, the entire aesthetic of the game has changed. The home page is different. The play mode is different. The numbers are a different size. The boxes are more square vs being more soft. Basically, the layout has changed juuuust enough to feel wrong, and frankly we hate it. Now, there are other updates that we think improve the experience. The ability to pause the timer while playing for one. But, unfortunately, this one decision seems to have taken away something that was so small, but only now that its changed, we realize was a BIG part of our daily routine. For reference, the version we were using before looks like the in-app picture displayed in the description still active in the App Store. We have no idea which version we were operating under in order to try and restore it. Heres to hoping someone working behind the scenes on this one might see this review and take pity on us and restore the appearance. Please bring back our comfort sudoku app :(.
The new version is confusing with notes on/off if you are familiar with older version. AND it keeps our iPad screen on so the battery runs down – very annoying.
Cant get out of the ad without clicking on the link and then we had to shut down our game.
Its OK to play the game of sudoku with, but every time you finish a sudoku, an unwanted extra game starts up that takes you to the App Store to try and download another app which we dont want and it is very difficult to get out of the cycle and start another Sudoku.
New update made the simple elegant screen clunky with huge letters and symbols. Looks like some developer beta leaked out. Just awful. What a waste of what used to be a good app.
Wallpaper is cool. But why take away the eraser and dark mode.

Find the medium challenging and doable and the hard a challenge but doable from strategies learned in the medium level The app has us addicted to Sudoku. Highly recommend it for beginner like us to those who are experts at Sudoku.

Excellent. We usually play 2-3 games every day.
Ive been playing this app nightly for two years or more, love both the hard and expert levels for being challenging and interesting. The note function and row completion indicator all work well. Only issue is with the ads which are very repetitive and hard to get out of. But if you finish the puzzle in one sitting without exiting, you dont get the ads. They only pop up when you exit without finishing a puzzle.
Excellent to work upwards in ability. Great for memory tasks and Elimination techniques. Love it.

This a GREAT game, but we wish the "notes" mode was in yellow highlight. Sometimes we think we're in notes but we're actually in "normal" mode and it counts as a wrong guess. That's our only complaint. This is definitely the best Sudoku app for our iPad.
