Ive been playing the game since we believe our sophomore year of high school. We just started college. We think the game should be updated more often and should be advertised better. We also thing online global rankings should be added in very near future updates.
We love the cute graphics and the game is insanely fun, especially as you get better and really learn to nail the combos. We hope we get to see some events and more.
Its a fun little time waster and a new twist on the Jet Pack Joyride style of endless runner but it needs a lot of work. There are only 2 surfers, the unlock-able boards/outfits are only cosmetic and there arent many of them, you always start at the first level (no speed boost/skip option) no power-up upgrades (longer magnet/x score, etc upgrades). This feels like a beta version. We hope more is added because we can see potential, but spending any money or time on this, as it is now, seems pointless.
Looks like it was originally designed as a freemium game but for whatever reason they decide to charge money upfront. Its a shame cause the art, animation and game play has potential. But its ruined by an awkward monetization model. Bummer.
Pay and then freemium but you paid, so we guess its paymium swiftly deleted, dont support this. If you charge us, we want a full game.
Yep, its the next generation of free to play, you pay for the app, which is modeled on the free to play system. Pay for gems to continue a run, or watch an ad. The ad watching is especially bad, as developers dont get paid for you watching ads unless they collect some data and report back, or just pass it directly to the advertiser, a cheeky way of saying we dont collect data all the while providing 3rd party access, under the premise you consent since you clicked the button. While the game may be fun, compared ones with this shady business model should be forced to pay reparations.
Downloaded it a couple days ago and Im absolutely hooked. The only thing we can really request is WAY more customization options, we truly would drop disgusting amounts of money to make our character look cool (its just who we are) This is a complete free to play game though! And you can unlock all customizations through coins, which take a long time to get it seems but if you like playing the game then its not a flaw. Add on: Im hoping to see more missions and possible events added. Events to be able to get costumes and different characters in general would be sweet. The game is pretty to look at and fun as it is now but sooner or later it will get old with nothing to work towards. Im thinking maybe adding levels or missions that lead to other things besides the score multiplier which also doesnt really matter/get you anything special. Hopefully we can get the boards to have different power ups or abilities as well as bonuses or something for costumes. Also we have two questions: How do the boxes work? We hardly see them in game and maybe get 1-2 every other game but at the end of the round we just played we got to open 3-5 boxes. Next, how does collecting letters work/what does it do? We do it because its something to work towards in an otherwise non mission oriented game so its nice but when we finish the words it seems like nothing happens. As an end to this insanely long review we would like to request a stingray/manta-ray surfboard where you get to ride an actual Stingray/Manta-ray, would be super cool! Thanks.
Awesome action game. Would be cool if you could earn point for doing tricks too. Feels like the game can be built out more but its already a lot of fun.
Cant get the guy to go up and down the wave.
