Find out what gamers are saying about Tank Battle: 1945:

The content is a little light, and some of the levels cannot be completed at the higher levels (why hexwar NEVER beta tests is a mystery to me), but overall is this a decent effort. If some capable designers took this over, it could be made into a first rate sim game pretty easily, perhaps in less than a day.

Has scenarios that are not possible to defeat. Deleting this game.

Since the last update, the game is unusable. Crashes and will not open. Worthless. And it used to be a fine game. Shame!

Sort of like chess with tanks. Fun enough to keep your attention.

We really enjoy the Tank Battle games… They are fun, and fairly fast paced… Perfect for those moments when you turn to your phone for a little distraction.

Great light-weight WW2 game populated with nice armored vehicles. Collect them all!

Random enough to play the same scenario over and over again, trying different troop deployments, artillery, and tank approaches. A thinking persons game!

Tank Battle 1945 is Great Strategic Game, Love the Bonus What If, Hope Expand or Add to this Scenario, Would be great 6 Segment Addition.

Im still waiting for the "what if" levels to be released.

We own over a dozen hexwar games, and enjoy them all. But each one has the same problem–if you are unable to win a particular mission, the follow-on scenarios for that particular game will be inaccessible. A real problem if you cannot win #3, and there are nine more after it you cannot play.

For over 5 years we have been enjoying Hunted Cows (Hexwars) games on 3 different iPads. This is the right size for brief skirmishes that dont mandate a huge time commitment, as sprawling strategic campaigns with logistics, morale or weather variables. Great job Hexwar! We need your version of Panzer – Perfect General remake in Korea.

Yes the full description says you have to pay a second time to unlock everything, but its deceptive and cheap. Play the free trials and read the fine print if you want to buy something.

Typically expect a paid game to keep you entertained for a few weeks. But with this game, you’ll be through with the very small amount of content that comes with it in a few hours and then the purchase is worthless. You can buy more content but it’s the same price as for the original game. So unfortunately this is not worth the money.

Neat game, played previous versions. This game gives you 2 small campaigns and then you need to buy ALL additional campaigns, each requires another purchase. Total rip off. 1 star, whoever decided to RIP OFF the customers here should be kicked down a flight of stairs, dragged back up, and then kicked down the same stairs again.

This is the best of the series, by far. It looks great. Maps are large in scale but are manageable, dynamic, and fun. Do more of this guys, and you’ll be doing great.

Nice game and a great way to kill time.

It does say tank battles on the main title does it not just checking. We don’t know we’re not happy was looking for good tank battles not impossible odds with inf against enemy tanks.

Ok, need to go back and check some pre-scenario info and "guidance" on many of the Soviet vs German campaigns (I.e. Wulkow game the reinforcements will enter on the west, didn’t, came in on east, and to late in game to reach final control point). German reinforcement came in from both sides! We’re thinking it can’t be won even at casual level.

Some scenarios are almost unwinnable. Waldfeucht is impossible on the hard and standard settings. Not as much armor in the scenarios as we expected. Not the best effort on their part.

Totally imbalanced. A couple of scenarios are literally impossible to win. We’ve enjoyed the entire WWII series thus far but this one was not thought out at all.

On America triumphs, level 4, the parameters are not set right. The rules state, 3 of the rescued troops must survive. We have played the level 4 times. Everytime any of those 4 rescued troops is hit, it reports that you have failed the mission.

We have ALL OF THEM. Tank Battle 1944, all the eastern front ones. Normandy, TB pacific. We like them all, particularly Normandy and Pacific, because of the amphibious landings. We have NOT liked some of the other, non WW2 ones, but if you want a game that reminds you of the old Avalon Hill hex board games from the 60’s, you’ll like any of the HexWar tank games.

Update 8/8 – Bugs are still not fixed. Soviet campaign hangs up on scenario 3. We love Hex War games. We’ve spent more money on them over the last few years than any other developer and have generally bought them as soon as they come out. The bugs in this one however are over the top leaving several scenarios unplayable and at least one that we’ve been able to find unable to complete because the game gets hung on the enemy playing and never reverts back to the player. We’re disappointed. Hold off on buying this one until balance and bugs are fixed.

Bugs! At least two scenarios either lock up or give us a defeat when we win. Love your games normally but this one is sub par.

Like all the other Tank Battle Games this one was launched again with bugs. The good news is the maker is pretty good about correcting and updating the game. Once that problem is overcome, the historical scenarios are decent.

We can beat it but it does not let you advance to the next scenario.

As with most Hex games we don’t think they test before release. Very buggy. Will not let you progress beyond certain battles. Seriously, there is there no quality control. We guess we get to pay to debug their errors.

The game looks great as usual Hex War has a great idea , great graphics and the worst programming on the planet. Of all the games from the company this has more bugs than Most all others combines. Do not buy until they fix this mess. We wish they would learn what Beta Testing is!

Buggy. Very buggy. Moreover the timed battles do not allow for any real tactical decision making. What’s left is a buggy shoot-em-up. Come on Hexwar, you’re better than this!
