Community Insight:
We remember jumping on to moms old iphone 1 and playing this for hours. When the battery of her phone became a pillow of battery acid, we got scared of losing this game. Thank the stars it was preserved.
Lots of fun when we were younger. Decided to get the lowest time possible. Paint: 1:40:81 Water: 1:40:31 Plant: 2:08:48 Chalk: 2:17:34 Flame: 2:21:80 Space: 2:38:54 Would like to know if anyone did better.
We played this game for the first time about a decade ago, we loved it then we love it now, our only problem is the controls are really wonky and broken; otherwise, its a great nostalgic game.
Very good game amazing s t h e t we c.
We first downloaded this Jan. 21 2009… Here we are in 2020 still playing it. Still an amazing game.
We got this game on December 15th, 2010.. 9 years ago… When we were 2 years old… We still remember little clips of this game from memory and it took us a month to figure out a way to find this app name. We tried everything- stickman path, path drawing, stickman drawing, it took a lot of time… We eventually found it and its a roller coaster of emotions for us,,,, we miss this so much, we cant wait to play Trace 2, we dont think ive played it yet,, keep it up! <3.
We have fond memories of playing it on our original iPod Touch. Heres to the next decade.
From. The music to the game play it is amazing.
Im surprised this game is still on the AppStore till this day ever since the original iOS back then.
Was going through our past purchases and saw this. We still remember playing this when our mom got stuck on a layover coming back from Florida years and years ago. Glad to see it is still supported and Ill definitely be checking out the second edition.
This game needs way more attention than it gets! Awesome game.
We remember playing this YEARS ago, downloading now.
Thought we were using ipod touch 2nd gen, our first appstore app is this one.
A legendary game that we used to play when we were young.
We remember playing this on our aunts old old iPad… We were what? Like 7? Wonderful times.
While initially provided a nice burst of nostalgia to the early days of the app store, it was quickly overtaken by frustration from the controls. Often times we would press jump or move, but the input wouldnt register, and Id die. Additionally, resetting a level often took several presses before the button registered. The level design is also all over the place. Some levels are straightforward while others are meant to be more complex, but they dont really have a proper order to their difficulty. Many levels can simply be cheesed by drawing a path on the top or bottom of the level and skipping everything, and often the levels that cant be cheesed in this way make you wish you could, due to unreasonably wild obstacle movement that is near impossible to predict and makes many levels feel luck-based, especially with the slow movement speed previously mentioned unresponsive controls adding an extra layer of making the game feel that its actively fighting against you. At best, might be worth poking at a few levels to see what its all about for novelty or nostalgia, but we cant recommend trying to play the full game.
You can swipe up to close this game. If you have Siri turned off, you have to turn your phone off to get out of it.
Thanks for keeping this awesome game alive! One of the best games from the early iPhone days so we're glad it's going to be supported on iOS 11.
The child we mentioned in the review is 13 now. We STILL put this app on every iphone and ipad. All these years later, it's still wonderful. One of the first games in the app store back when it was new and we all knew EVERY app because there were so few. Get this. It's still awesome. Ah! Nostalgia. Old review: we hope they add more worlds. Please! We love this game. Our friend's six-year-old daughter loves this game. Our friend with a phd loves this game. It's like the book HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON came to life! Amazing. Addictive! Massive fun! Developers– a new purple crayon world would be cool.
This is really a day 1 type of game on the App Store. For real and if it isn't day 1 it's day 2 because we remember playing this on our iPod 2 with like iOS 3 or something old af. This game still is legit and worth a try.
One of the first games we downloaded for our phone back when we got it. Have kept it ever since.
Wow we remember this game on our 3G. We completely forgot how fun and simple AppStore games used to be. Now we have a 6plus and somehow came across this game again. So many good memories.
This has been one of our favorite games for more than 5 years, we used to play this all the time on our sister's iPhone and we just love this game, it brings back memories.
This was the first game we got on the app store and we havent plf.
This is a really good game. It's good to play it on long car rides. It's a great game to play to pass the time.
This was the first game we downloaded back on our 2nd gen iPod and still one of our favorites to this day.
We love this game! It's just the perfect amount of challenge, so that you don't end up walking away frustrated like with so many other games. Not too easy not too hard. Thank you.
Very interesting game but a fun and awesome way to pass time. Very good directions to the game right on spot make more sequels and everybody go by trace 2!! Love this game it's so addicting.
Great game. We have good memories of this game.
We've played this game for years since we were little and could only play on our dads old iPhone and as a childhood game it is the best game we've pretty much ever played and hope everyone knows about it! :3.
We cannot delete this game, even after 5 years. Thanks for Trace 2 too.
The game uses simple ideas and yet is so entertaining.
Weirdest game we ever played. Pretty cool though.
Really good app is addictive but the app could be better it is fun for anyone who wants to pass time.
Levels are either too easy or hard enough where the glitchy controls make them near impossible. Not a game for you if you want to enjoy it.
It's uninspired and sloppy. The hot detection is SO SHODDY. It's so bad that it kills the entire game, along with atrocious controls. The game was designed for people with a newborn baby's hands. Not to mention that they are unresponsive beyond belief. Horrible, you'll just waste a few minutes of your life, get annoyed, and delete it. Don't waste your time.
This game is awesome!!! :D Y'all need to make a trace 2. We would buy the game if we had to.
We love this game no rules more fun and you can make it up yourself !' AHHH<3.
Trace is fun and challenging and it works really smoothly.
Our dad and we used to play this! It's so great that we found it!!' This is the best game in the entire world! Get it u wont regret it! And it's freeeee.
Can you implement a clear stats button in the options menu that resets the time and levels.
It fun and the music is good love the game all in total you should get it our friend showed it to us and now we're addicted to it so everybody get it.
Just follow those lines love the music.
The music is great for us for some reason lol. Idk but we like it alot. Also this game is awsome…wish that there would be like a sequel or something. :D.
Trace has proven to be a game that we'll continue to play for years. Nuances in the game keep it interesting. For instance, when you "jump" in the space world, you jump higher than the other worlds. The complexity of Trace keeps it challenging. We haven't figured out all the levels, even though we've played this game since it came out, nor have we gotten frustrated… Engaging for all ages, including children as young as 5 or 6 years old. Our 6 year old loves to get his character over the exit and then "erase" the floor to fall into the next level… TIP: we use the "screen capture" function of the iPhone (or iPod Touch) to save a picture of different solutions. Once we've solved a puzzle, we'll often replay it with a different technique. We can save photos of our various solutions by pressing the home and sleep/wake buttons on our iPhone at the same time. The resulting screen capture is stored in the photos app that comes on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
It's a good game but the graphics just bother us from playing you know so we're going to give it a 1.
Platformer/puzzle/drawing game. It's like a poor-man's Okami.
This game is absolutely amazing and filled with depth and an abundance of levels (we think 120) and what we love is that every level has more than one way of passing it but we wish there were power up lines and a world of bouncy lines and updates.
The title says it all but seriously 5 star game.
This game is sooooooooooooooo FUN.
