Troll Farm is a Simulation/Roleplaying game from Aaron Nemoyten, first launched in 1st December 2018.
It’s rated 12+ and currently has 13+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Troll Farm Stand Out

"Tap, troll, and watch the world burn."

Troll Farm is a political satire idle game in which you begin by posting your political messages to a not-at-all-based-on-real-life site called Squalk and escalate until, well, you'll have to find out.

  • Build your internet troll empire – hire angry teenagers, viral content consultants, and more
  • Buy upgrades that make your angry teenagers even more effective at irritating people on the internet
  • Politicians might get involved, who knows?
  • Hey, maybe you'll end up in the news! There's no such thing as bad press, right?

Important stuff:

  • The game is completely free. There are optional in-app purchases that speed things up, though.
  • Note that unlike other idle games, this game does not have an 'infinite' mode that you can play forever and/or reset with additional bonuses. And unlike many idle games, this game is telling a story that has a beginning, middle, and end.
  • That being said, if enough people support the game via in-app purchases, the current mode will become Story Mode and an Infinite Mode will be added (The current IAP options will carry over between modes if new modes are added.)

This Simulation game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Recent Updates & Development

Latest Update: 8th May 2025

Recent improvements include:
Well would you look at that! This game has finally been updated after five years of inactivity.

What did I add? Well, mostly I just re-built it with Unity 6.1 and removed all the IAP, analytics, etc. So it should be smaller and faster.

Most significant for people playing on the web though, I added sound controls! Finally, you can start the game with sound and then turn it off when you get annoyed.

I could say, though, that there was a major update to the game, which is that the context changed. The world is very different now than it was back in 2018 when the game was first released. The game has proven more prescient in hindsight than I ever expected. Is that worth putting in the change notes? I think so.

Community Insight:

It may be short, but it is a lot of fun and we love seeing a game in this idle genre striving to tell a story. Dont expect to invest a large amount of time, but check it out anyway. We absolutely recommend it. Its a free download, so the only thing holding you back from trying it out is you! Uninstall it if you dont enjoy it, but please try it out.
