A Glimpse into Two Player Chess Basic

Basic version of Two Player Chess. https://twoplayerchess.com

Two Player Chess (2P Chess) turns your tablet or phone into a two-player chessboard for two humans to play face-to-face. One person can also play against the inbuilt AI.

Improve your chess game by getting hints for the best moves in review mode.

You can play offline as no internet connectivity or sign-up is required!

In the real world, face-to-face chess works great with 3D pieces however in traditional 2D representations the pieces would be upside down for one player.

Symmetrical chess piece designs and other innovations in 2P Chess mean it is now fun and easy for two people to use a tablet or phone to play and/or learn chess.

2P Chess provides an excellent tool for teaching chess as you can use a single tablet or phone device together and see legal moves highlighted.

Two Player Chess requires no internet connectivity and no account so you can use all features from anywhere.

User Reviews on Two Player Chess Basic

Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Two Player Chess Basic below:

So much good here… The unique symmetrical icons, the built in timer, the optional notation. No other chess app comes close in terms of quality local play, ease of use, and beauty. No problems yet. The fact that, as of this review, this app (and its ad-free alternative) have fewer than 40 combined reviews is positively criminal. Way to go, Adrian McPhee: hope to see more from you on the future.

Tried a bunch out. This is the best for local play.

This app is great for playing with another person. The small issue is that the ai is very easy to beat, and Im an amateur beating the ais superior mode.

Please add a take-back option (with settings for disabled, by request, or automatic), as well as one to input a pre-existing game for analysis.

Please ad options for standard piece images and more options for the board. Thank you, will purchase after.

Please enable a mode where you can move your pieces anywhere. There is a block on letting the opponent get your king, even accidentally, and it takes all the fun out of it.
