Its basic, yes, and thats good. None of the fantasy world weirdness of other poker apps. All of the complaints about it being rigged are nonsense. We started playing this in 2013 with 50k chips, and have worked that up to over 1 million in ten years without ever buying more chips. We play here like we play irl, we dont make stupid bets. Thats the key.
Ive read some reviews that the playing is rigged to get losers to buy more chips. Ive been playing over a year and Im within 10% of the amount of chips we originally purchased. We just won 10 out of 15 hands we played, doubled our buy in amount and quit. You can really rake it in if theyre bad players at the table. With pairs showing theres good chance someone has 3 of a kind, but a player with 2 pair will bet like crazy and lose. Would have rated 5 stars but havent found a link to special ways to play – if youre winning theres a way to bank your winning chips without leaving the table. Havent found a source with instructions on how to do this. Good luck.
MOST PEOPLE ARE PRETTY CONSIDERATE. OCCASIONALLY YOU GET A FEW JERKS BUT NOT OFTEN. USER RESPONSE SPEED VARIES AT TIME. ALL IN ALL ITS AN ENJOYABLE PRODUCT.
When our previous iPad crashed and we purchase a new one, we found we could not open our old account we had used for years. Maybe that was from decision made to increase your purchase of chips income. In our case, although we loss what we already purchased over years, we will not be buying any more.
Generally we like the game but there are two annoying features First when we updated the app, our over 3 million chips disappeared. It started us a new account with $20,009 chips. Second when you first open the app to play it assigns you to a table often at higher stakes than we would play. A quick way to lose chips. There should be an option to select level if play on opening.
Why cant poker be played with skill.
We think Im starting to see the truth in other reviews claiming this game is rigged. Come on – pocket Q and 3 three time in a row? It looks like the system is set to max out at 2m chips then we start loosing. And loosing and loosing. We see that the game description does not boast how it is RNG certified. Any particular reason? The game is no fun. We dont recommend it.
We got addicted and spent our entire savings on this game.
We believe that you are playing against more bots than real people. Bots always seem to win with impossible river draws or hole cards that defy all odds.
There nothing fancy there are no flashing lights its not like standing in a laser light show its just poker. Good ole fashion Holdm. Its just fun to play people from all over whenever you want to.

This game is fair and feels similar to really playing in Vegas. You get to play with real people and you can earn chips so it is easy to play free for a really long time! You get to choose a room to play in. It is simple and easy to start right away. This is our favorite poker app – and we have played a few! We also play poker in Vegas once a year.

Definitely in the top two or three poker app/website we use. Never seems to crash or experience many problems. Even the support is quick and responsive when needed, very rare these days.
If you have to buy chips its because you dont know how to play poker. In 5 years Ive been up and Ive been down, just like our Vegas cash games that we also play regularly. Support responded to us in less than 24 hrs and solved our problem right away. Maybe you shouldnt cuss them out when you send a request.

Buying chips only feeds their motivations, that is to pick your pocket for every penny and make you think like you are winning. The game is programmed to get you addicted and keep on buying chips. Well, the more chips you buy the more you lose. Good game but dont be fooled, Never never buy chips.
We had 2 million then got a new phone and we were down to 20K! Bummer.
We love playing this but always get frustrated because no matter what table Im playing there is always a player or two that have a glitch. The line goes around and around and then usually ends with the player sitting out. Not fun.
The game itself is fun, but it is set up to make you lose so you have to buy more chips. The game is not fair with that.
The table is raised, there is a blank spot at the bottom. Looks weird. Still have a problem with slow players, too many of them at the fast table and ones that sit out, 3 1/2 minutes is too long when other people want to play, they just take up a space for nothing.
Our dad is getting older and we bought him an a tablet years ago hoping that he would it to download apps to challenge his mind but he doesnt want to use it for hardly anything but playing this outdated and simplistic game. What makes it worse is that he must be horrible at playing it because he usually loses all or most of his chips. He usually cant remember how many chips he has from day to day so Ill try to win him some without him knowing. Sometimes Im not able to so then we have to buy chips to help him out. We cant buy chips on his account because hes on a fixed income and he would go crazy if there was a charge for purchasing chips. Im guessing and at least for us, Ive notice purchasing chips will cause a lot more losses since they know the people who purchase chips will purchase more when they have lost all of there chips versus the people who play and never purchase chips. Well we wasnt doing any harm to anyone but purchasing chips for our elderly dad but now theyve decided to crack down on a major threat to society so now we cant donate money to them. Do you really think Im the loser here? Well anyway if you want to check if Im right or not, purchase some chips and just see if from now on there is a built in algorithm that greatly increase your odds of losing much more often than you do now. Ill just need to check our Apple Pay history to find the amount Ive paid so they can reimburse us Good luck.
Keep in mind that the aim of the app for the developer is to entice players to purchase chips. Have you noticed that too often you are dealt with the winning hand of the previous round or your previous hand is the winning hand of the current round? When that happens just leave the table, the algo is working on you (to seduce you keep betting). Since the card dealing happens on the server it can be fine tuned at anytime. In a promotional period it is often tuned for drama (eg good hands are dealt to multiple players) to create excitement and frustration (with the hope that it can translate into chip purchases). However the developer should have learned that such tricks can never go far. To make this app big it needs be real.
You target accounts and have control over who wins and loses. You know exactly who sits where and if by chance you dont like what a player chats you silence them. So many nice kind fun players have been silenced for the most ridiculous reasons. You silenced all our devices and had to write an email telling you we havent been playing on one of our devices to get our chat back. Lucky for us you gave us our chat back on that device!! This use to be a fun game but not anymore. We have brought to your attention cheaters on numerous occasions and even reported a hacker, which in your email confirmed was a hacker. We continue to see cheaters on these tables and it is so obvious but have come to the point now not reporting them, we dont care anymore!!! Ive been playing this game we believe for 12 years and when we lose all our chips we will delete this app!!! Cest la vie.
Rigged. You can win up to a point but then you get crap cards constantly to lure the user into BUYING chips. Not like real poker. Never saw so many crap cards, like deuces all the time, in our life.

Anyone else out there that still plays this? This game was a big part of our childhood and im sad that it is no longer updated, us and our dad always used to play this and watch sunday night football. Very fun and its very nostalgic for us.
We honestly believe VIP poker is the best poker game available. It is a very easy game to visualize when youre playing it. It is not complicated by a lot of bad artwork, and it is nicely designed in so far as you dont get involved with many intricate outside communication influences. So you can play without confusion. Yes, there are annoying players….slow play is common….arrogant play is also often a pain, but by in large, players will play the game to win tokens and keep the game interesting and fun to play. The support staff is friendly and ready to help if and when a problem occurs, which we have found is very infrequently.
