What Makes Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Stand Out

Take control of one of the most technologically advanced armies in the Imperium – The Adeptus Mechanicus. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, you’ll lead the expedition on the newly rediscovered Necron planet of Silva Tenebris. Customize your team, manage resources, discover long-forgotten tech, and control your Tech-Priests’ every move.

Your every decision will shape the missions ahead and ultimately decide the fate of the troops under your command in over 50 hand-crafted missions. Choose your path carefully – the Imperium depends on it.

Augment:
Flesh is weak! Upgrade your Tech-Priests with weapons, support items, Servo-Skulls and other mechanical augments as you assemble your cohort. Customize your team’s disciplines, choosing from multiple character classes to create a squad for every playstyle.

Difficult Decisions:
Make tough decisions that will forge the future from your Ark Mechanicus, The Caestus Metalican, and send you towards alternate endings for a truly unique playthrough. Be warned, however, the more you explore each tomb, the greater the rewards but also greater the threat.

Unique Tactical Combat:
Engage in immersively strategic combat that will test your mettle under the extreme pressure of the xenos ambush. Access your most powerful weapons and abilities by using Cognition Points and advance on your enemy without pause. Fear not, the Omnissiah favours the brave.

Canticles of the Omnissiah:
Collect in-game achievements and be rewarded with strong abilities that can be used once per mission to aid you in the heat of battle.

The Library of Immersion:
A compelling story written by Black Library author, Ben Counter, specifically crafted to fit the unique personality of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction, with each character having their own personalities and agendas. Feel the tension and admire the devotion with unique visual effects and breathtaking audio.

Community Insight:

Hello Thanks for making a particularly fun game! Butthere is No achievements for machanicus in the game center we would really like to be able to see our achievement while playing the game, and we hope you will reply to it. Thanks a lot.

Very well done but crashes mid-level frequently.

Its the best warhammer iOS game in terms of vibe and production aesthetics. Wish it had more expansions, would recommend.

Fun game, some crashes. UI issue renders the game unplayable late game. If you have too many abilities on your priest you can no longer press the end turn icon due to it being stuck behind the camera rotation buttons. IPad mini.

We have this on steam as well and it seems to have some parody to the pc version with some graphical limitations but not far off from the switch port even works with mouse.

We noticed there werent any written reviews since some stability updates were released so we thought we would leave a more recent one. The game itself is a fun TBS, and the port (though we havent played the PC version) seems solid. The only minor annoyance is that what would normally be a mouse hover to read a tooltip requires you to hold your finger down and slide it around so you dont accidentally click. In terms of crashing, it does happen but not enough to enrage us or make us want to stop playing, we just save often. Honestly, iOS seems to just have terrible memory management or something – we have to reboot our tablet a few times a week anyway just during normal use because Firefox, etc. Just start getting flakey. If you want to minimize crashing while playing this game, just dont multitask. Reboot the tablet and then play the game, and dont jump to other apps, and it should be fine. You can also save while in fights, not just at the strategic layer, so if you do that every couple of turns you wont be replaying many turns. TL;DR, its a fun game and a good port that for us has been enjoyable with a bit of planning.

The game is fun and looks good no complaints about that but every like 40 mins the game crashes and we have to replay 15 to 20 mins of the level. Its really annoying.

This is a great game, but it is crashing too much to be enjoyable. At a minimum, auto saves more frequently would take the sting out of the frequent crashes.

We have. All the gamesworkshops miniatures [as much as we can afford $$ ]. We thought this would be something good. – Absolutely not good at all. Far too clunky interface and game play. Movement is way constrictive or non existent.

Honestly this is quite a unique game we like tactical games like this we wasnt quite sure what we were getting ourselves into when we bought this so far so good.

First off let us say we love this game. We were put off by the price for a few weeks but considering whats included we dont think its too bad. We know the iOS version is pretty new and doesnt have a lot of reviews so we thought this might help other people make up their minds, so let us mention a few areas that need polish as well as some things we really like. There is room for improvement of course: other people have mentioned the crash bug and we have experienced that several times over the few days Ive been playing. It doesnt happen often, but it is annoying and does make you lose some progress when it happens. We thought we were going to have to replay an entire boss fight the other day but discovered that fortunately the game had auto saved the turn before the crash so we only lost a few minutes and not the half hour or so since our last manual save. The only other bug Ive seen is an occasional graphical glitch that didnt seem to have any ill effect beyond requiring the game to be restarted. There are a few other areas we wish were more polished. Some of the tooltips especially involving the servo skull could stand to be rewritten for better clarity, and in the course of checking online to see if a particular skill worked the way that we thought we discovered some core mechanics that we had misinterpreted. We didnt know, for example, that scanning consoles and then breaking them afterwards was an option, or that moving through parts of the tomb we had already cleared would not increase the awakening meter further. We almost started over after learning these new pieces of information, but we are only at 50% awakening so we decided to tough it out and see how we do going forward with new tactics. We also wanted to mention some of the extras included. This comes with the Heretek DLC, which we think is great. Its not a separate purchase, and while we have seen some reviews online that didnt like aspects of the DLC or how it was integrated into the main game, we havent played the base game before and probably wouldnt mind playing through the story a second time anyway. There are pretty extensive customization options for people who want to make things as easy or difficult as they like, and the music… Wow! The music and the sound design in general are just amazing and they included the soundtrack In the game menu (if you dont want to just listen to one of the looping versions of Children of the Omnissiah on the web), as well as the artbook which is like 200 pages long! Fixing the crash bug would be enough for us to upgrade our review to 5 stars as we really think this game deserves it more than anything Ive played this year.

Crashes all the time. Crashes multiple time a battle. Cant even start the third Heretek mission because it crashes when we try to.

The game is unplayable on our iPad Air 2. The battle map wont render properly on the very first fight in the tutorial, cant get past it.

It would be great if the developers would work out the bugs so this game would work properly on our iPad.

Runs well. We have this on Switch as well, and the iOS version seems to have much faster load times and sharper visuals. Overall, we are happy with this version of the game.

Strategy game is always our fav on iPad. Game is overall good, but one thing annoyed us is the language setting. The game follows the language from the IOS system so every time we want to change language we have to go to the IOS settings and restart our iPad. This makes us feel very frustrated and it would be better if the developer can just make an in-game button for the language change.

Its not often, but it does crash and force you to redo fights. You will have to reply hours of gameplay.

Its a fun game, a lot of fun based on what we can play. But its incredibly unstable and crashes constantly. If they can get it working, this will be a great buy. At the moment, stay away.

Does not play on iPad Air 2 or on iPad 6th generation? You guys are missing out on a lot of customers with that decision. We seriously encourage you to rethink your specs. Xcom 2 and other games are at least comparable to this game. You can make it happen if you put in some effort. Ill be back as a customer if you do.

We have not been able to play this game, despite being a premium purchase. The front end loads fine, and everything leading up to the tactical play board works. Unfortunately, once any mission proper begins, the game board/tactical mission area does not render properly. All that is seen is a solid black movement area and glowing silhouettes of figures, overlaying what appears to be menu items, from what little can be seen beyond the edges of the solid black area. Device has been rebooted, app was un- and re-installed, and all graphic options in-app were tried to no avail. Tech support for this has proven non-existent. We have had to go to the Kalypso online site; once there we had to create and register an account simply to submit a bug report. Support ticket links on the Kalypso site are buried within menu items and not readily found. After having submitted a support ticket, we now find that we cannot access any information on our submission on site. Every attempt to login and reach tech support ends up looping back to the main menu page, with any links attempted thereafter looping back to the sign-in prompt, with a subsequent return to the main menu page. Device used: iPad Air 2; iPadOS 14.5. App in store compatibility indicates it works on this iPad.
